Gillian Anderson is to become a series regular on Hannibal.
Bryan Fuller - showrunner on the NBC series - revealed at San Diego Comic Con that Anderson's new deal is still being worked out.
"We are right now negotiating her contract as a series regular - it's not closed yet," he explained. "But she's been so incredibly supportive of the show". "The first episode [of the third season] is as if it were a new pilot for a series starring Gillian Anderson and Mads Mikkelsen," Fuller said.

Please make it happen, she's an amazing actress. Can't wait for the show to return next year!!
ReplyDeleteConsidering where they left things off with her in 2X13, she needs to be a regular next season or at least in the first half of the season. With Laurence only guest appearing this season, they might have some money to negotiate with (it always amazes me how this show does so much with such a small budget).
ReplyDeleteNow this would make me want to catch up...quickly!
ReplyDeleteOh, hell yes.
ReplyDeleteNow I have to watch this show! :)
ReplyDeleteLoL Same thought! :)
ReplyDeleteYes Please!!!!!!!!!!! I love her dynamic with Hannibal, let a lone she's just proven time and again to be a great actress! I would def like to see them develop her/give her a back story! Make it so, agents and schedules, make it so!
ReplyDeleteGood news.
ReplyDeleteI love it because she's literally an modern update on Hitchcock's adaptations of "Du Maurier" woman! Whatever the character's deal is, I hope she's even more duplicitous than Hannibal!
ReplyDeleteAnd here I thought I couldn't get any more for season 3 than I already am!! I really hope this happens!!!
ReplyDeleteI thought i would of caught up already but time just seemed to slip by.I love her in this so oh yeah,i want this!
ReplyDeleteYou should. The finale Mizumono (hell the last half of season 2 and the first half) is spectacular.
ReplyDeleteReal reason I'm happy: this means she won't die after the first episode! :D
ReplyDeleteI would like to see Bedelia doing stuff for Hannibal during his prison-holidays.
