This is a tough one. Obviously Breaking Bad vs True Detective. I think True Detective will win though. I think the final 8 episodes of Breaking Bad were barely better, but True Detective has received more buzz.
ReplyDeleteBreaking Bad because it was the last season and because it reached just the highest level of awesomeness!
ReplyDeleteVoted for Game of Thrones since it's the only one I watch but I think Breaking Bad is going to win.
ReplyDeleteI fear that Bryan Cranston could lose to Matthew McConaughey (good thing that they put True Detective in the miniseries category at the Golden Globes, where it belongs), but if that happens, there is no way Breaking Bad doesn't win the Emmy for Best drama series.
ReplyDeleteTherefore I voted for Breaking Bad. How Downton Abbey keeps being nominated surprises me, it was a big thing in 2010 but I haven't heard much enthusiasm/praise about the show in recent years.
Breaking Bad was the best there is on television, especially its last season, but then True Detective came along
ReplyDeleteBreaking Bad and Game of Thrones have had their time in the spotlight. It's time for House of Cards to take it out - I personally think it's miles better than anything else on the list, and if it wins it will drastically increase the profile of many other series being produced by non-TV networks
ReplyDeleteI wish GoT could win it, but seriously, it' going to be Breaking Bad; and if it's not Breaking Bad it's going to be either True Detective or House of Cards
ReplyDeleteThe winner will be either Breaking Bad or True Detective. I want Game of Thrones to win, but I'm not sure it will. My vote goes to True Detective.
ReplyDeleteIt's so weird.. I feel like I'm the only who's never heard of "House of Cards" before today.. o_o
ReplyDeleteBreaking Bad.
ReplyDeleteNow the odds:
Breaking Bad
True Detective
House of Cards
Game of Thrones
Mad Men
Downton Abbey
Its crowd is the average emmy crowd (90-year old people)
ReplyDeleteIt's a Netflix show!
ReplyDeleteDon't have Netflix where I live.. Must be why I'd never heard of the show.
ReplyDeleteLove Bryan Cranston, Love Breaking Bad, but this year True Detective blew my mind so my vote goes to TD
ReplyDeletenone of them hold a candle to Orphan Black, any chance its like a presidential ballot can we write in a name even if they haven't been nominated???
ReplyDeleteDon't watch any of those shows so i've no idea
ReplyDeleteBreaking Bad or True Detective which are the two shows I want to win it anyway.
ReplyDeleteBreaking bad. i didnt watch it, but always wins xD
ReplyDeleteWho will win: Breaking Bad
ReplyDeleteWho I want to win: True Detective or Mad Men
True Detective is my vote. I wish the entire Emmy process would get a complete overhaul. There are some great dramas deserving of Downton Abbeys spot because, for me, that show is abysmal.
ReplyDeletenone of the above........I like my shows that are fun not boring drama show
ReplyDeleteBreaking Bad's final season was a little too neat, a little too predictable and hence a little too ordinary. So, True Detective I think.
ReplyDeleteIt won't happen. A) Breaking Bad is considered one of the greatest (if not thee greatest) TV dramas by critics, people in the industry and audiences (but they don't matter here) and just finished it's last season (considered by many to be the one of the greatest of all time). B) Game of Thrones, True Detective, Mad Men (downton abbey I don't know never paid attention to its buzz) once again are in a similar boat and while House of Cards is clearly well received amongst the academy and critics and audiences alike (and it should be it's terrific) it just doesn't have the same prestige and recognition as the others (which I'm not just saying because I prefer them, well except for Breaking Bad which I know is phenomenal but just can't get into and I've never seen Downton Abbey). Speaking personally while I'd love House of Cards or Game of Thrones to win (since if HoC would win it could open the floodgates for more shows like Hannibal) and I'd love to see a fantasy epic win, Breaking Bad has this (which I have no problem with but I see why you do).
ReplyDeleteGame of Thrones isn't boring nor are any other ones.
ReplyDeleteWhat I want to win: Breaking Bad
ReplyDeleteWhat should win: Breaking Bad
What will win: Breaking Bad
Rooting for True Detective, but Breaking Bad will win.
ReplyDeleteLooking at that list one thing is certain.. there some seriously brilliant shows on TV these days!
ReplyDeleteBreaking Bad is my prediction to win and it is deserving.
That said, True Detective was the best first season of a series I have ever seen. I would not be upset if it were to win.
Breaking Bad, but want Downton Abbey to win.
ReplyDeleteHopefully Breaking Bad
ReplyDeleteI hope it's Breaking Bad but I think True Detective has a serious chance.
ReplyDeleteBreaking Bad !
