To be honest, I'm kinda happy it's Castle who is hurt and missing this time. 90% of the time it's Kate in danger, or Kate about to die, or Kate seriously injured etc. It will be interesting to see Kate on the other side of things.
.<------This is the point O<------This is your head.
The mystery isn't in IF they'll find him, it's why he was taken in the first place. The writers didn't go this route expecting the viewers to think he was dead. It's so weird how many people think that was their intention.
That's weird, I don't see me asking for your analysis of the writers' intentions and yet you volunteered it. And this is your comment (0) and this is how much I care about it (.)
You have every right to express yourself, but don't expect to express your opinions on the internet and not have someone disagree with you. That's just silly. Especially on this website.
The question that begs to be asked is why haven't the guys at the 12th precinct approached the NYC Hall of Records, after all they have abilities of discovery that far exceed those of the NYPD, FBI and Homeland Security.
Surely it was pretty obvious that "did they kill him?" was never the cliffhanger? Likewise: "Will they find him?" is not the cliffhanger. The cliffhanger was (and still is) "WHAT has happened to Castle?" The answer to that one is definitely not so obvious.
About time i say! I have to agree, most of the time its Kate who is in danger and its gotten kinda old. The only other time i can remember Castle being in danger is when he and Martha were in the bank while it was being robbed. One would think after 5 yrs,the show being called 'Castle' not Beckett he'd be the one in danger more than once!
Agreed! That's why I'm excited about this. But I just hope the writers don't screw it up i.e. have him found within 20mins of the ep with barely a scratch.
Ah, Cops and Robbers, my favorite episode of the entire series! The episodes shows all the characters at their best and then we have that sweet moment when Beckett rescues Castle from the vault and I'm hoping that 7.01 captures the same feeling/theme.
Of course no one thought he actually died that's why the cliffhanger was so absurd they could've ended the season on him missing and someone calling Kate to tell her they found his car empty and he is nowhere to be found but they chose to end it on her thinking he was dead then the promo focuses on him being missing and the search for him instead of figuring out why he was taken.
I would assume they want to explore the dramatic implications of Kate having thought -- even very briefly -- that Castle was dead. It adds intensity to the story.
Actually, "most" (~60% at this site) rated it Good, Great, or Awesome, with another 8% for "OK." A little under a third rated "poor" or "awful." As with most things in life, people who did hate it are simply the most vocal.
Ah okay then. I wouldn't have been surprised at that though, because Castle has a lot of shippers, and they can get a little too emotional and reactive at times.
I'm usually okay with Beckett being the one in danger, but it is a nice change of pace.
But yeah, I've never felt Beckett gets put in unwarranted situations; she is a cop, she's the one with the dangerous life both for her profession and rogue's gallery. And it's always awesome see Beckett overcome those situations and kick major ass.
How tiresome is that silly storyline. Plus beckett ruins another dress? Sigh. What do you bet that right after she says that line, you hear Castle behind her..."of course I'm not in the car." How boring. Wake me when they find him.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Seriously?!!!! First they "kill" him and now he's vanished! Oh I wonder if they'll ever gonna find him! (Rolls eyes)

If you put your opinions on the internet, expect opinions in return. That's just how things work. Don't like it, don't say anything. Problem solved.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you should take your own advice, if you didn't like my comment why did you reply to it?
ReplyDeleteI didn't hate your opinion, I just didn't agree with it. Hate and disagreement are not the same thing.
ReplyDeleteOk in that case it wasn't hate it was rudeness then. This pointless discussion is over for me but feel free to keep saying your opinions.
ReplyDeleteI'll put this as simply as I can.

ReplyDeleteI'm kinda glad I dropped Castle now.
ReplyDeleteWait people thought that? The show is called Castle. That'd be like Hannibal Lecter being killed off in Hannibal.
ReplyDeletethank god they finally gave us something to look forward to.

ReplyDeleteWell nothing spoilery here. We all kinda knew he wouldn't be in the car...

ReplyDeleteYep,one of mine too!

ReplyDeleteNo one thought that, that's why most of the fans hated the season finale because it was ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteI would assume they want to explore the dramatic implications of Kate having thought -- even very briefly -- that Castle was dead. It adds intensity to the story.
ReplyDeleteI can see that, but they already did something similar in the last season's premiere so it feels kinda redundant.

Is it possible that this is Castle's payback fo "the lives of others" ?

ReplyDelete"Made ya look! Haha."
ReplyDeleteIt's either 3XK or associated with his father. I really hope it's not a "new" villain that they just happen to discover.
ReplyDeleteIf so, I'm changing the channel. Has this showed jumped the shark yet?
ReplyDeleteWet Beckett is always a good reason to tune in.
ReplyDeleteYeah, they did. The producers and directors all had to tell everyone that he didn't die. It was on a lot of spoiler sites.
