Rila Fukushima (Wolverine) has landed a major recurring role on the hit CW drama Arrow. She will play Tatsu Yamashiro, a character that first appeared in the Green Arrow origin series graphic novels published by DC Comics. She is a Japanese martial arts expert who wields a deadly sword, a blade from which her codename Katana is derived.

ReplyDeleteI had never seen Devon Aoki before. But I loved Rila Fukushima in Wolverine and was checking imdb for her future projects recently. I am super glad she is joining Arrow as Katana. I hope to see her again in Wolverine movie.

ReplyDeleteI've seen Aoki in like four movies, and Fukusima only in the Wolverine, but personally this is a better choice.
ReplyDeletePlaying both Marvel's Yukio and now DC's Katana does seem to risk typecasting yes. But then again Kelly Hu was both Lady Deathstrike and China White so who knows.
