Arrow is loading up on its villains for season three. Matt Ward (TRON: Legacy and Hellcats) has been tapped to play Simon Lacroix, otherwise known as DC Comics villain Komodo, EW has learned exclusively.
In DC Comics’ New 52, Simon is an archer and adversary of Green Arrow. On Arrow, he’s a deadly mercenary using the code name Komodo, who wreaks havoc in Starling City.

Never seen him before, but he's hot in his IMDb picture (as if he wouldn't be, on a CW show) so I approve.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea who he is but I LOVED Komodo. Altough they pretty much took the character and gave specific plot points to other Arrow villains.
ReplyDeleteLacroix is a rich guy with close ties to the queen family-> given to Merlyn (who was an assassin for hire and former idol of Oliver in the comics)
Oliver tore out his eye with an arrow -> given to Slade (granted, he always lacks an eye but the way he lost it on the show was reminiscent of Komodo)
Simon had a personal beef with his former mentor Robert Queen -> given to Rochev.
And truth be told I always wanted Justin Hartley in that role to mirror his former appearances as GA since Lacroix was pretty much the anti-Oli (something given to Merlyn here as well who is merely his arch enemy not the Yang to GAs Ying).
Looking forward to his appearance but it doesen't look like his stay will last too long :(
Justing Hartley is soap bound now. He got a role as Adam on Young & Restless.

Any word on Arrow going up against someone with abilities? I always enjoy when a human character takes down a super one. I know he fought against Slade's roid-rage army. But I've always found strength to be a visually lame power. This is gonna be an action-packed season! Arrow... Flash... October...so faaaaaar awaaaay....
