The Arrow is going to meet No. 1 fan. The CW series is adding Carrie Cutter (a.k.a. Cupid) to season three and EW can exclusively report that Supernatural alum Amy Gumenick has been cast in the role. As in the comics, Cupid will be a lethal villainness with a dangerously obsessive crush on The Arrow. (Surely at least a few Arrow fans can relate?)
Arrow executive producer Andrew Kreisberg created the character during his run on the Green Arrow/Black Canary comic book series. “I always loved the idea of Green Arrow having a crazed fan,” Kreisberg told EW. “When I was writing the comic book, my big goal was to create a villain who would last.

watch out Felicity........there a new girl in town and she will do anything to be with Oliver/the arrow
ReplyDeleteThis should be fun lol
ReplyDeleteit nice that season 3 is using some GA rouge gallery.......hope none of them get killed so it a set up for some society of super villain who hate the arrow......
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of a crazy fan storyline. I really hope they do more with Cupid than having her try to take out the "competition".
ReplyDeleteI don't read comics so you have to explain, what's a rouge gallery? I read about it in The Flash spoilers too so I better be familiar with it.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of a fan for Arrow. Oliver will be so annoyed. What is everyone's opinion about the actress. I have never seen her in anything before.
ReplyDeleteYeah like stalking Oliver when he's on missions, that would be hysterical Oliver hates when people admire the arrow and pay extra attention to him so much lol
ReplyDeleteYeah it will be great hahaha I can see her stalking him, interrupting missions and and giving him presents and him getting so angry and uncomfortable hahahaha
ReplyDeletewell it's going to suck seeing woman who gave birth to sam and dean on supernatural being a crazy murderous fan of the arrow but it's going to be cool seeing her on arrow, the last crazed fan i saw on a superhero show was on smallville weird
ReplyDeleteAlicia Baker.........she was obsessed with clark so I think cupid will be the same thing.......
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing her play batsh*t crazy. It should be fun.
ReplyDeleteNever seen supernatural. Is she a good actress?
ReplyDeleteI've seen Gumenick in a handful of guest-starring roles. From what I can tell, she's not a bad actress but the roles she's played haven't been that demanding. I haven't seen her do anything where she's required to ham it up like she will for this role.
ReplyDeleteI hope jensen ackles as green lantern.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bruce. Is a CW star or has she worked in other networks. I always have more expectations on an actor if they have worked outside CW. This in no way means there are no great actors in CW.
ReplyDeleteHe will be grumpy in the lair and 10 bucks says Roy and Felicity will make fun of him at least once.
ReplyDeleteUmmmmmm, this could get messy and not in a fun way. I'm not sure how I feel about it.
ReplyDeleteI loved the actress as young Mary Winchester, so yay to that, but... the last thing we need is more women who have a crush on or sleep with Oliver. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteBy CW's standards i guess she's ok...
ReplyDeleteI liked her a lot in the two episodes she did on SPN, but the character she played was lovely and sweet, if also badass. Her playing a crazy stalker villain should be quite different.
ReplyDeleteWell, in the comics she's kind of a psyco! She's crazy so she fixates on Green Arrow... It's a small recurring villain. If i'm not mistaken, she was created by one of the shows producers.
ReplyDeleteI think it just means a group of villains who tend to go up against a specific superhero. Although comics have a lot of "shared" villains.
ReplyDeleteshe likely a stalker who will also be a killer.......unlikely be sleeping with him because she like the arrow not Oliver
ReplyDeleteRouge gallery is a group of people who can't spell Rogue properly. ;)
ReplyDeleteI loved young Mary Winchester but I've yet to encounter a GA/BC reader that actually liked this character. Most forums I've been to hated Cupid and AK's GA run back in the day.
ReplyDeleteHopefully the show does something better with the character.
I think this case is going to be obsessed stalker following around Arrow and Arrow running away from her. I can't wait for Team Arrow's reactions once they know about this character.
ReplyDeleteI've seen her guest-star on A&E's The Glades and also an episode of Castle. She's done one-off appearances on Bones, Grimm, Grey's Anatomy, and The Closer but I don't remember her roles on those programs.
ReplyDeletebut alicia reformed though SHIELDNCISArrowfan
ReplyDeleteFrom what I understand the term Rogues/Rogue Gallery belongs to Flash. Some of the enemies of Flash led by Captain Cold makes a social group/association and calls themselves ROGUES. The group of these Flash villains are called as Rogues Gallery. They have a code of conduct and high standards for acceptance. They attack Flash several times as a group.
ReplyDeleteFlash is said to have best villains in DC universe and GA's villains are not that popular or interesting. That's why they rely heavily on villains from other DC universe like Batman. Cupid here was specifically created as a GA villain when Andrew Kreisberg ran GA/BC comics. Since she is an exclusive GA villain that's why she was called a member of GA's rogue's gallery. If my knowledge is correct Rogues Gallery is a term used only for Flash villains.
This could be fun! Never heard of this character before, do they have the love/hate kind of relationship as Spider-Man/ BlackCat and Batman/ Catwoman?
ReplyDeleteNo the term is not just used for Flash Villains.
ReplyDeletePeople get this confused with some Flash villains that team up and have a code of conduct and prefer to call themselves rogues instead on villains
Rogues Gallery =A Character's villains
Rogues =Some Flash villains that team up and have and code of conduct
Thanks for clearing that up.
ReplyDeleteThe only CW show she has been in was Supernatural as Dean and Sam's mother, Mary Campbell Winchester.
ReplyDeleteThe show should have gone in a whole other direction ( older woman ) with this role. I'd have gone with Melinda ( Amanda - Nikita, Lady Heather - CSI, Julie Cooper - The O.C., Kelly Donovan - The Vampire Diaries, Siren - Charmed, and Velasca - Xena: Warrior Princess.
i've always liked her (the actress) on SPN. and i'm stoked for Cupid! Let's do this!! 39 days to go!!
ReplyDeleteIn Bones and CSI she was the killer, in Supernatural she was a hunter and the mom young from the two heroes, in Grey Anatomy she was amazing with emotional sad scenes. Amy's my favorite actress from the first time I see her on Supernatural. No doubt she'll be great like always. The only vilain I could never hate :)
ReplyDeleteCan you tell me which grey's anatomy and bones episode she featured. I don't remember her. I would like to check it out. Never watched supernatural.
ReplyDeleteFor Grey's Anatomy it's the 5.22 What a Difference a Day Makes she's Becca, her speech's hearthbreaking
ReplyDeleteShould be interesting. The story in the comics involves quite a few people already on the show in some form or another such as Merlyn. With Sarah's Canary and Felicity filling in for Oracle's part a by the books adaption should be very easy. Wonder if Gumenick will stay blonde or go with the character's bright red hair....
ReplyDeleteThanks. I will check it out :)
ReplyDeleteyou're welcome, I can't wait to see her in Arrow. I really love Felicity and Oliver together. I hope Cupid will be not too long obsessed about Arrow and she will find another Heroes who's single. I really want to see for a long time Amy. She's one of my favorite actress. Star City could need another hero.
