Only if it's the second half of the season. Maybe even the season finale. The first half seems too soon after Aiden. Unless they're planning on jumping forward a year or so.
ReplyDeleteThey won't get together right away. Supposedly she has something with one of Jack's old friends. I do think they will eventually get together but unfortunately I do not think they will have a happily ever after as I think Emily will die in the finale.
ReplyDeleteyes, yes, yes. Please
ReplyDeleteYes please!!!!
ReplyDeleteBut later in the season. Emily needs to sort out herself after Aiden's death, and her fathers return.
I don't want em to get together in a emotional whirlwind. You know.
Hoping season 5 will be the last, I want to see Emily and Jack actually together for a while. Coz though getting together at the end would suit the story, I Really Really wanna see them together well before so we can actually see them together, like Aimily were.
No.
ReplyDelete1. Zero romantic chemistry.
2. I personally find it rather gross after Amanda. It's basically saying Jack only loved her for her false identity, because once he has the real thing, he falls in love with that too.
3. I hate the fairytale childhood love crap.
4. I've never agreed with the premise that the main character of a TV show can't stay single for 5 minutes. Emily just lost Aiden and there was practically a love quadrangle with these two, Jack and Daniel. She doesn't need another boyfriend any time soon.
That being said, I'm pretty sure the majority of voters on this poll will get their wish. The show seems to have been grooming E/J to be endgame from day one and getting rid of first Daniel and then Aiden seems to have been building towards that.
Yes.I have been wanting them together.
ReplyDeleteIt's unfortunate when a show refuses to follow chemistry (or in this case, lack thereof). The best shows (and their writers) let the chemistry that unfolds onscreen dictate the story line, as it should be. This show, does not. There is zero chemistry between Jack and Emily. Aiden was IT. The writers can't contradict themselves; they said that Aiden's death "the love of her life" (the writers' words, not mine) would fuel her revenge moving forward. And now they are going to have her jump right in with Jack? No. Horrible writing. I will no longer be watching the show.
ReplyDeleteI'll be honest, I wasn't a Jack/Emily fan during the first two seasons, I was a Daniel supporter, but season 3 converted me, and made me hate Daniel, lol! so I'm all for it now. Please, stop bringing in other love interests for Emily, and just let her, Jack and baby Carl be a family!
ReplyDeleteLol! the whole "childhood love crap" as you put it, is the reason why I was against it since day one. It's such and overused, cliché, storyline... but they've grown on me during season 3, mostlikely because I never liked Aiden and they turned Daniel into a murderous manipulator, but still, I kinda like the idea now, inspite of how wrong it's in my book because of Amanda.
ReplyDeleteBring it.
ReplyDeleteHe didn't just love faux Amanda because of who she was, though it def did start that way, as Jack had some serious doubts about dating her. But he did grow to love her. He actually did love her, nit just because she was "Amanda Clarke".
ReplyDeletePersonally I've always loved Jemily. Though yes childhood love is cliche, but I definately like how they've developed the relationship, that Jack and Emily do have a complex adult relationship still, and in Amanda's/ Emily's situation of her entire childhood and life was taken away from her, it makes a lot of sense for her to still hold onto him and love him. And him her, as he also lost his best friend and girl he discovered he did indeed love as a kid.
We all knew from day one Daniel and Emily were not going to work, because of his path like his parents. And that Aiden and Emily was just mid series. Though I do love them so much. RIP AIDEN MATHIS/ AIMILY
When did they say that? They never said Jack and Emily were gonna jump right in. They've only said they will be better friends and Jack will play a big part in Emily becoming Amanda Clarke again and David Clarke's return.
ReplyDeleteJemily was always going to be the couple that grows to the actual relationship, near the end of the series. So we don't expect them for a while.
Besides the writers have said Emily will meet a new guy, who is another Childhood Bestfriend of Jack, an ex soldier with PTSD, who returns for Jack, and becomes friends with a few people including Emily.
I love Jemily,
ReplyDeleteBut damn can you let her be single for a while. Like half a season.
Why bring in a new guy so soon.
I mean the PTSD and ex soldier part, is a really interesting trait for Emily's character development as she is defs like that, and also for Jack to understand her more.
And more importantly. PLEASE BRING IN MORE FEMALE FRIENDS FOR EMILY!!! TO MANY GUYS!!! PEOPLE ARE BEGINNING TO JUDGE HER!!! e.g. Charlotte and Javier < which was just rude.
Jack and Emily may not jump right in as in a relationship, but you can bet they will start right up with the longing looks and meaningful glances.
ReplyDeleteThe second point you made proves mine exactly; yes, "Jemily" has always been the couple the writers aim for. That's the problem. Like I said, good writers acknowledge when a change in plan needs to be made. Whereas the writers of this show are determined to force a relationship that should have been let go of long ago.
Exactly! She need to grief for his death, and the producers are trying to get her into another ship before Jack's
ReplyDeletehelllll noooooo
ReplyDeleteTo be fair they detoured to Jack and (faux amanda) and Aiden and Emily for 2 seasons. Escpecially in season 3 it became less of Jemily as a romance, and more of them just getting back on track as friends and allies in the revenge scheme. Jemily haven't had any real romance storylines since season 1.
ReplyDeleteThey've made the point that "aiden is the love of emily's life".
I don't it seems like they are doing a How I met your mother thing, where they introduce the coupled (Jemily or Ted and Robin) make them have issues for a long time and be with other people, during which time the love interests they have (The Mother and Barney/ faux Amanda and Aiden) either die or leave, and Jemily finds their way back to each other in a more mature way. (and compared to HIMYM, revenge wont bring it out of nowhere in the finale).
They made the point that, between each other they have both had separate lives and loves in which they have found each other again since childhood. it's actually a zig-zag journey, not a straight line to destination love interest.
Why??
ReplyDeleteJemily are awesome.
Jemily is the couple that goes through all this shit, falls in love with each other, dates other people, breaks each other's hearts and then grows together.
Those couples are the best, coz they are not just put together in one season and go boom endgame.
