HAYLIJAH | Unfortunately, it sounds like Hayley and Elijah’s relationship will be taking a step back in Season 2. “[Hayley] and Klaus are the only two hybrids in existence now, so Elijah will inevitably wonder, ‘Is there a connection between my brother and Hayley that I could never surpass?’” Narducci explained. “There’s going to be some interesting friction. Ultimately, Elijah is going to have to decide, ‘Do I want to help this girl?’”
KLAUS: THE EARLY YEARS | Season 2, Narducci explained, is “all about confronting the sins of the past. We’re very much defined by our parents, but as we become adults, we begin to choose our own paths. … Klaus is very much a product of his abusive father, and very much a product of his mother.” In going deeper into Klaus’ moral origins, we’ll see “flashbacks to when he was a child,” as well as “right before he became a vampire.” All of this will “examine what his relationship was with his mother, and the sense of betrayal that he felt when she came back from the dead and judged him as an abomination.”

Sounds like Klaus and Hayley will get a better connection this season, which makes me happy. They need more scenes together.
ReplyDeleteOnly 73 more days too go !!!
ReplyDeleteKlaus and Hayley's interaction during the last episodes was quite interesting, the way Haley looked at Klaus when the baby was born and then when she said: "let's get OUR baby" or even the flashback at the beginning of the ep, it seemed more intimate than previous episodes... I am not sold in the Hayley/Elijah ship and even when I don't root for Klaus to get involved romantically with Haley, I think their dialogues and tension are more interesting to watch!
ReplyDelete73 days to go !!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like Klaus and Hayley will spend more time together this season. I would love to see them have more scenes together.
ReplyDeleteFlashbacks! Yes!
ReplyDeleteSo TVD isn't the only one of JP's shows where characters will start new lives. Interesting. I'm glad that someone has addressed a little bit further exactly what will go on between Elijah, Klaus, and Hayley. Since Hayley probably can't be sired to a baby, and it was already said that she would be forced to examine her feelings for Klaus, I think we will see something similar to Elena's sire bond to Damon on TVD. Hayley appeared to manifest some feelings for Klaus, as the father of her child, near the end of her pregnancy, and that would have become exaggerated when she became a hybrid, thus creating a sire bond tied to Hayley's emotions more than the blood used to make her a hybrid.
ReplyDeleteAs far as Elijah ultimately deciding whether he SHOULD help Hayley, I've been waiting a long time for Hayley's true colors to come out in front of Elijah, and now what she was capable of as a werewolf has been exaggerated as well as any feelings she developed for Klaus. That's not to say that Klaus has any feelings for her at the present time. The show is about family, so it's my personal feeling that if Hayley doesn't get killed off before the series ends, the show will build up to Klaus, Hayley, and Hope being a family together in the series finale.
Back to Elijah and Hayley, one of the things that Hayley said to Klaus to get him to sleep with her was that they were both "twisted." I think Elijah will come to realize that Hayley is just as bad as Klaus, if not worse, and like with Katherine, he'll have to decide whether a relationship with Hayley or any attempt at redeeming Hayley is worth pursuing. For all we know, Hayley might encourage Klaus' bad behavior (sired or not), impeding Elijah's efforts to redeem his brother. One thing we know about Elijah that has never changed, and never will, is that he will always choose his family. It might come to a point where Elijah will consider killing Hayley, even though he probably wouldn't go through with it or someone would stop him.
Seriously,Julie Plec?Another love triangle between brothers???
ReplyDeleteAre you lost your mind completely???I'm so over. This is crap.
Hayley and Klaus?Please.....
If there's one thing that TVD has taught us, it's that focusing on love triangles between two brothers and some sort of "special girl" breeds fantastic storytelling. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteAmateurs copy, experts steal. Dear Writers: Start stealing more please.
Elijah doesn't question that. He always helps Hayley. 2) Flashbacks of Klaus as a child, to right before he became a vampire....ummm been there done that. And i'd like to hear a lot more about Esther. Not so much Finn. And i can't wait when Esther and Mikael are in the same room, now THAT is something new.
ReplyDeleteExactly!I agree.
ReplyDeleteThe same baby-Hayley plot again and again. It's awful.Where is the mature show i am reading all the time? Are they serious? They ruined The Original Family.
Season 6 of TVD sounds so much better.
The theme for season 2 seems to be "tension of relationships". Klaus coming between Hayley and Elijah........Klaus caught between his abusive father and his controlling mother. And for all the "nah sayers"..............with all the boo - boos "Diaries" has made over the years lets give "Originals" a chance before writing off season 2.............in the middle of summer no less. 4 WONDER TWIN POWERS ACTIVATE, I am still Nobody!!!
ReplyDeleteDon't really care about the love triangle, althout I don't think is gonna happen.
ReplyDeleteI hope for the originals back. Esther, Finn, Kol, Rebekah, Klaus, Michael and Elijah. Don't care about the Other Side and stuff. It would be awesome to have them back. All of them.
i knew next season would focus on hayley and klaus after what they went through in the season finale, i was hoping they would ask about klaus and camille
ReplyDeletePersonally, I'm only glad to see some of the other Originals back if it means that Elijah might walk away from Klaus for a while (like he usually does when he gets frustrated enough), and Daniel Gillies can spend some time on TVD. I mean, Alaric is technically an Original and I don't see him on TO. Julie Plec has actually hinted that Alaric might get his own spin-off.
ReplyDeletei like how arewe they are going to explore tthe Mikaelson family early years, now with the mother coming to town, that would be an interesting factor to see.
