    That looked better than I expected it to. Kol better damn well stay dead though. The other side is gone. Dead is dead. Only Mikael and Esther made it back in time. That had better just be his lifeless body and nothing more.

    I don't subscribe to that idea. Kol was sucked into oblivion (like Katherine) well before the destruction of the other side. In Kol's case, there should be nothing to bring back. Damon and Bonnie, however, have an unknown fate that the end of the finale made quite clear with the whole white like thing, which no other character that died on the other side got.

    Yep, the baby definitely doesn't have Hayley's eyes. She doesn't have Klaus' eyes either. Another thing about the baby that will never be explained. It looks like Esther being a teenage black girl didn't work out aesthetically. That or they had to find a new actress. It's safe to say that Kaleb is Kol in someone else's body.


    Part of the premise of this show is Klaus' redemption, and family. Since Michael Narducci confirmed that Klaus wasn't his werewolf father's only child and that's why the Northeast Atlantic tribe are Klaus' blood as well as his clan, am I the only one wondering why there's still Mikaelson drama? Esther wasn't even really the Original Witch. Two witches on TVD are with a coven at least twice as old as the so-called Original family. Silas was technically the original vampire. However, some things have been said indicating that both the Crescent Clan and Klaus' werewolf tribe might be Original Werewolves. In such a flashback-heavy show, why can't we see more about Klaus' real family? The name of the show isn't a valid reason for recycling old storylines. I want to see more of the werewolves and less of the old people with mysterious plans. I definitely want to see the end of Rebekah. Let her have the baby and live happily ever after off of the show.

    Yep. I've only seen the first two episodes of TVD and I love The Originals. They are pretty good at explaining the back story of the characters as we go thru the season.

    Mikael killed Klaus' biological father and his entire family. Elijah told Elena that information back in Season 2 of TVD - they're long dead.

    As much potential this trailer has for the show to redeem itself from the travesty of season one, i'm not holding out much hope. Especially when the first thing we see in this trailer is the goddamn baby, followed by Hayley - two characters/plot props that the show should have dealt with last season. As well as Cami another useless character. With not even the inclusion of both Mikael and Esther, holding much promise. Not after the way JP and her team butchered both Klaus and Elijah's characters last season and even Mikael's in his brief appearance. Something that is almost a forgone conclusion will continue to happen this season.

    Acutally in recent interviews julie and her team is heavily implying that kol is coming back and not just in flashbacks.Who knows?For all we know,he hitched aride using a cloaking spell to pass through bonnie without getting noticed with the help of some shady witch just like silas,anything is possible in julie plec's vampire world,so expect too much logic in this regard.Julie knows that no one cares for finn's return,so although she had planned his return with esther,she may have dropped that plan during final stages of script writing.I would take kol's return anyday over that boring finn character.Let's see what they have in store for us this fall!!

    This looks good.As long they don't run out of ideas after the first half like last year and shed all that baby drama and spruce up cami's character a little bit,i don't see why this season would be anything short of a spectacular ride.October can't come fast enough!!

    Easy for them to explain that away I think as there could always be more to the afterlife than characters on the physical plane assume they know. If you buy into the concept of a soul (which would be energy) I find "oblivion" kind of a stupid idea in relation to that. Not that I care about kol that much but a show called The Originals should have as many as possible haha

    Why would Esther be a black teenage girl? She came back as Natalie Dreyfuss in the final, and at the Harvest it still was a White girl but just a different actress.
    Silas wasn't a Vampire, he was just an immortal being craving for blood. Esther altered the spell, making them stronger than Wolves. an as per this she is the Original witch who created the Original Vampires. It's not about her being the first witch to create immortal beings but yes she created Vampires.

    Season Two looks promising. I'm glad that Alice Evans has reprised her role as Esther but I hope that she will not be playing Esther only in flashbacks. I think we can safely say that it's not Finn that has been brought back alongside Esther, maybe one of the two who died before the Originals came to be.

    I wish it was Kol who came back with Esther but that character had Finn written all over him. Even in his casting call it had 'calm' and 'always been the obedient child'. However I think Kol might be inside Kalebs body - I've seen a few theories floating around and when someone asked Daniel Sharman at a Q&A at Alpha Con, apparently he giggled and said he was a 'bad liar'.

    You don't have too although as someone who watched TVD first l was already in love with the characters on TO by the time it started.
    The best season of TVD is 2 , it was good from start to finish . Season 1 sucked in the beginning l mean baddddd. The show got better actually proved drastically throughout the season until about half way when l realised how good it got. The pilot was retconned pretty early on in the season certain characters got interesting and the show focused on better things. There is a reason why the show lasted regardless of those bad first few episodes.
    Plus if you love Klaus , Elijah and Rebekah season 2 , 3 and 4 you will like they dominated the show so much then it would be impossible for you to watch and not understand why the originals got their own show.
    Lord now l sound like a sales person LOL.

    I didn't realize that Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah were in so many seasons of TVD - I thought they were only in the one season before they got their own show. TVD is on Netflix so maybe I'll check out the seasons with them in it and I can fast forward thru anything with Elena in it - unfortunately, the character annoyed me so much I couldn't even finish the first book so I may not be able to overcome that!

    It's interesting the choice of images when Esther says: "A family reunion" and we see Kol in the casket. It seems to imply Esther will try to bring him back from the dead (if he isn't already, as some people believe he is Caleb), but I don't want to have my hopes up about a REAL MIKAELSON REUNION, with all their members, or at least those that we haven't seen interact much... Showing Kol at the time we hear that words were probably just a coincidence. (I hope I am wrong!)


    I am dying to see Esther and Mikael talk, We don't even know if they are on good terms! Right?
