NBC wants to make sure “The Mysteries of Laura” isn’t a mystery to potential viewers, slotting a special sneak preview episode behind its biggest summer show.
“Laura,” which stars Debra Messing as a NYPD homicide detective who balances her day job with a crazy family life, will now first air at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 17 — one week earlier than planned — following the season finale of top-rated summer series “America’s Got Talent,” the network announced Wednesday.
It will then make its regular-timeslot premiere at 8 p.m. the following week, on Wednesday, Sept. 24.

It doesn't matter, this show has been getting poor reviews and will be DOA once it lands on its regular timeslot.
ReplyDeleteNot to mention that NBC's last tryings out of AGT finale have faired sooo well (Up All Night, Free Agents).
Actually Up All Night did pretty well self starting on Wednesdays after its AGT lead in that week. And since Mysteries Of Laura is a drama, not going up against huge Wednesday competition like UAN did and a lot of old people love Debra Messing, I think it'll do alright on Wednesdays, especially since its compatible with SVU and CPD.
