In the following weeks, the show's regular timeslot will be at 10pm, opposite FX's The Bridge and FXX's Wilfred.
Produced by Richard LaGravenese (The Fisher King, The Bridges of Madison County, the upcoming Unbroken) and Tony Goldwyn (Conviction), with John Tinker (LA Law, St. Elsewhere, Chicago Hope) on board as showrunner, The Divide stars :
- Marin Ireland (Homeland, Boss).
- Paul Schneider (Parks & Rec).
- Clarke Peters (The Wire, Tremé).
- Chris Bauer (The Wire, True Blood).
- Damon Gupton (Prime Suspect US, Rake US).
- Nia Long (The Cleveland Show, House of Lies).
- Joe Anderson (The River).
The Divide was developed in 2012 for AMC (as the same time as Turn, which as you know aired its first season this Spring) under the name "Richard LaGravenese / Tony Goldwyn legal drama". AMC ordered a pilot, then passed, but didn't let go of it completely, and eventually decided to let its sister channel WEtv develop it.
AMC Networks owns AMC (Low Winter Sun), IFC (Comedy Bang Bang, Maron, The Spoils of Babylon), Sundance Channel (Rectify, Red Road) and WE TV, so now all of its networks have their own original series.
Speaking of the AMC group, do yourself a favor and watch the great new drama of the summer, Halt and Catch Fire (currently on Sundays at 10 on AMC), it's very good.
Way more excited for WE's upcoming South of Hell series.
