Mozhan Marnò has been cast as Tamar Katzman, a former Mossad agent and incredibly intuitive spy who goes head to head with Raymond Reddington (James Spader).
Interesting. But still i don't get how will she be involved. Working for the FBI and trying to catch him, or working for Mosad and trying to catch him.
I was waiting for similar news as well. The show killed off most of its female supporting cast by the end of last year... Now that I think of it, they killed off a few of the male supporting cast as well. They needed to add new faces.
Meera was part of the Fed's task force and Luli was part of Red's team. From what I understand, this character will eventually take a spot on Red's team.
I was thinking of them needing to add to the team around Red more specifically though. The previous two are outside of the team and connected to Red's past more so.
I thought she was supposed to play a character that starts out as Red's enemy, but quickly ends up joining his team instead. But I could be confusing her with another new character.
Yep. Meera could have been played by a department store mannequin after Red found out her her involvement with the mole. After that she just filled space in the background for the rest of the season.
Exactly. It would be nice if they stuck to the nationality of a given actor/actress. Even if they can't see the difference, it's still an annoyance for those who can.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Pretty much figure they'd cast a new female regular to replace Meera.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I've read, she's more of a replacement for Luli than Meera.
ReplyDeleteErm, in what sense?

ReplyDeleteHere's her reel for anyone unfamiliar with her:

ReplyDeleteSo far they've added Mozhan Marnò, Mary-Louise Parker, and Peter Stormare will undoubtedly be back as well. I'd say that's a good start.
ReplyDeleteBetter than just "good" I'd say!

Thanks for the video! :-) She does seem to be a good fit for Red's team.

ReplyDeleteDon't even talk about Meera; such a wasted character that I just meh-ed when she got killed. And I like Parminder Nagra a lot.
