The fifth season of MTV’s “Teen Wolf” will receive $11.5 million in tax credits, the highest of the 26 new allocations from California’s Film and Television Tax Credit program for the 2014-15 fiscal year.
With $77.6 million, “Teen Wolf” and 11 other continuing series took the lion’s share of the $100 million in allocations.

ReplyDeleteOH boy more wank to come
ReplyDeleteI don't think this is the place to discuss your masturbation habits.
ReplyDeleteAwesome, more Teen Wolf :)
ReplyDeletePlease by for 24 episodes.
ReplyDeleteAgreed
ReplyDeletewoohooooooooo yeah awsome thank you
ReplyDelete24 contigious episodes truly would be nice. I've been thinking that this show actually needs some standalone filler episodes, in which Scott and his friends get to demonstrate their awesomeness against some relatively ordinary villains instead of going up against the Big Bad in each and every episode...and consequently getting their butts kicked a lot.
ReplyDeleteCould this only be season 4B? Even though season 5 is a lock.
ReplyDeleteI think twelve episodes work best.
ReplyDeleteYay, awesome!
ReplyDeleteSee while I wouldn't mind that (and it actually could be cool, and would help deal with emotional impact and give more character moments and possibly allow for more exploration of Scott's embracing of being an Alpha wholeheartedly and embracing the power that comes with it, which I hope they'll do when Scott gets his beta this season, as they've been setting it up for a while.), story wise if not done correctly it could be very unwise and it'd be hard to keep or justify villain of the week stuff going without losing the story's momentum. It could also be great though, and if season 5 is likely to be 24 as Jeff Davis has said, I wouldn't mind if they chose to experiment with such a formula, but again right now it just seems like 12 episodes is best for Teen Wolf given their high exposition, mystery based story lines.
ReplyDeleteNo, season 4 is only 12 episodes, but Jeff said he'll more than likely do 24 episodes for season 5.
ReplyDeleteJeff did say he'd likely do 24 episodes for season 5, i was worried in season 3 it would drag out too much it worked really well, I loved the split season approach :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info. :D
ReplyDeleteDo you have a source on Jeff saying he might do 24 episodes for season 5?
ReplyDeleteBack in March he said he wasn't too happy with 24 episodes and wanted 12 for both his and the actors sake (http://au.eonline.com/news/525004/teen-wolf-season-4-scoop-jeff-davis-on-who-s-missing-in-mexico-mourning-allison-time-jump-and-more). Has he changed his mind since then?
Ah I see, thanks :)
ReplyDeletenice and good news another season
ReplyDeleteteen wolf !!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe tax break doesn't secure the show a 5th season, it's just an added incentive to order one. I think the more telling sign was the increased exposure at Comic-Con. You don't shell out that kind of money and cast participation for a show coming to a close. Kinda screams 24 eps to me but I could (and usually am) wrong.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason I thought we already knew season 5 was a go and that it is likely to be 24 episodes. Not sure why I thought that, but it's always good to hear your favorites shows are coming back. Ends the renew/cancel suspense.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you got the idea into your head when Jeff was talking about it. I think we all knew a renewal was coming anyway!
ReplyDeleteI think there's a fairly high chance of S5 being 24 episodes given how successful it was last season, and Jeff said it probably would be, plus the majority of fans want it to be 24 episodes. So I don't think you're wrong this time!
ReplyDeleteOkay that's how 3A and 3B worked they were two twelve episode seasons.
ReplyDeleteSame here!
ReplyDeleteSeveral shows which got tax credits were not renewed. This is NOT proof.
