MTV ANNOUNCES “Teen Wolf” WILL RETURN FOR A 20-EPISODE FIFTH SEASON AND
DEBUTS MID-SEASON TRAILER DURING PACKED PANEL AT SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON
SAN DIEGO, CA (July 24, 2014)—MTV announced today to a packed room of screaming fans at San Diego Comic-Con that the hit drama series "Teen Wolf" has been greenlit for a two-part, 20-episode fifth season. Additionally, the room was given a first-look at the mid-season trailer which is currently available to view on iPhone/iPad or Android via the MTV App.
Today’s Comic-Con panel marked the fifth consecutive year that “Teen Wolf” took the Con by storm. Cast members Tyler Posey, Dylan O’Brien, Tyler Hoechlin, Holland Roden, along with newbies to the pack, Shelley Hennig and Dylan Sprayberry, and Executive Producer Jeff Davis participated in the panel and Q & A session moderated by Buzzfeed Senior Editor, Jarett Wieselman.
For the first time ever, fans can stop by MTV’s “Teen Wolf” booth on the convention center floor. The booth (#3729) will be open to fans all weekend long and will be highlighted by signings and special appearances by cast members and crew. The booth will also feature four full days of activations where fans can insert themselves into a custom character poster and create their own “Teen Wolf”-inspired monster. Additionally, MTV commissioned artist Swann Smith to illustrate a limited edition bestiary that serves as a full guide to the creatures of Beacon Hills. The bestiary will be distributed for free throughout the weekend and Swann will be on hand signing copies at the booth.
There will also be a cast signing at the Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment booth (#4229), which distributes “Teen Wolf” on DVD. The signing will take place on Friday, July 25, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Special edition season three DVDs that will be exclusive to Comic-Con attendees, will also be available for purchase at the Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment booth.
In the next episode of “Teen Wolf,” airing on Monday, July 28 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT, a dangerous enemy forces Scott to help him while Derek and Malia track down an old ally.

Yay!!! And it's airing in 2 parts :)
ReplyDeleteThis is great news! I don't understand why they didn't do this for the current season! It'll be over so soon :'(
ReplyDeleteI will never get the appeal of this show but great for its fans
ReplyDeleteYes, I figured this was coming at Comic-Con today!
ReplyDeleteAnd Dylan Sprayberry will become a regular! I just hope they will focus more on the actual characters that are underdeveloped (Danny, all the parents...) and bring back old ones (Deucalion, Isaac, Ethan & Aiden (bring him by a twin connection or I don't know)) but I don't want too many new characters
ReplyDeleteI wonder why they didn't do 24 again. That's kind of odd.
ReplyDeleteHow great is that SpoilerTV contributors are tweeting stuff from SDCC.
ReplyDeleteAwesome news! Just before sleep :)
ReplyDeleteWoohoo!! Love this show so much.
ReplyDeleteI hope Season 5 premieres earlier than Summer 2015.
ReplyDeleteLess episodes usually means a better and more coherent story, so I'm fine with that. Besides, it might be due to cast contracts. The show is way more famous now, actors get expensive.
ReplyDeleteI could barely tolerate the first couple of seasons because of a certain very annoying character.
ReplyDeleteomg omg omg omg YEEEEEEEEES!!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome news. This show is so much fun!
ReplyDeleteDanny is not on the show anymore though :| Holland Roden said it when a fan asked about him at a meet & greet...
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure Danny isn't in the show anymore at all.
ReplyDeleteI get the appeal, what I find weird is how you can tolerate the lack of coherence just for the kick of it. And it's not a casting or production issue, it is purely the script's quality (or lack thereof).
ReplyDeleteGlad we have confirmation it's back even though it was pretty much assured. Strange that they are breaking pattern by having 20 episodes instead of 24. Shame they aren't going to kill Liam off this season.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to TW, they really deserve it! I look forward to it. Hopefully not the final season.
ReplyDeleteAnd congrats to Dylan, so he won't die this season, good for him.
It was just announced at comic con that we haven't seen the last of Danny.
ReplyDeleteI would prefer 24 to keep up the 12 episode arc format but yay anyway!
ReplyDeleteWhat does 24 have to do with Teen Wolf?
ReplyDeleteI don't get your question. Every story arc in Teen Wolf has been 12 episodes. When they extended season 3, they ordered 24 episodes that were split into 2 12-episode arcs each and at the time Jeff said in the future he hoped to do that as well if they extended any future seasons. And now we're getting 10 episodes per story rather than 12.
ReplyDelete24 episodes, not the show :).
ReplyDeleteHe thought you meant the show "24".
ReplyDeleteAwesome!
ReplyDeleteNice.
ReplyDeleteBest news of the day! But excuse me while go I binge watch S2.....
ReplyDeleteWow you really hate Liam. I'm not a huge fan, but it's not like he's Joffrey.
ReplyDeleteJackson? Please tell me it was him. Fucking hate that guy.
ReplyDeleteRather it be for 24 episodes, but I'm still elated.
ReplyDeleteIt was Jackson wasn't it. I hate him so very much.
ReplyDeleteYep. Absolutely despised him.
ReplyDeletewell the only plus side is that if they do 20 episodes again in season 6, the season will end on its 100th episode. Maybe the plan is to end the series after 6 seasons and 100 episodes.
