Rush, shaken up by his encounter with Sarah, has been MIA for three days. Eve finds him just in time to set him up with a new client: a young boxer – younger brother to another, more famed boxer – with an unusually bloody nose. However, Rush finds himself blackmailed to provide not just medical care, but a guarantee that the kid's okay to fight tonight... which he most certainly is not. The kid takes his older brother's advice to take a dive... and Rush digs himself in deeper by placing a bet on the fight. And while dealing with that, he finds himself having to handle the fallout of his recent dealings with a film producer and a local gang. Meanwhile, Eve sends Rush to treat a famous life coach, in hopes that the self-help guru will help a reluctant Rush start to help himself. And Alex begs Rush to help him cover for the unethical favor Rush called in. One option would be to call Rush's father, who Alex knows can make the problem go away – but Rush won't contact him due to bad blood between them. Instead, he sets Alex up with one of his shady contacts, but the attempt to help Alex cover may ultimately do more harm than good.
