It's called a Mandragora it's a creature from Asgard I heard about it even before season 2 premiered and seems like it's one if not the big bad of the season but we'll see.
Awesome premiere and I love how much darker this season already is compared to last season!
The scene where Wendy told Joanna "There is no way in hell I'm going to let you die" was absolutely heartbreaking. I really thought we were going to lose Joanna tonight. Fantastic acting by Julia Ormand and Mädchen Amick in this scene.
I'am really intrigued by Frederick since he is the one who came through the portal. What are his intentions in East Haven? Is he getting revenge on Joanna because she left him in Asgard? I can't wait to find out!
It seems like Dash is getting closer and closer to finding out that Ingrid and Freya are witches. I wouldn't be surprised if he finds out the truth later this season. And I wonder who is the one that is sending him emails saying that they saw him and Killian on the dock that night.
And what the hell was that with Ingrid being sexually embraced by a creature with tentacles at the end of the episode. That was weird as hell. I wonder how the creature is linked to Ingrid.
So glad this show is back! Can't wait until next week!
Ohh that guy/monster at the end was creepy and interesting at the same time, Poor Ingrid doesnt know she is "feeding" some fu**ed up creature.... And what's the conection Between Dash and Ingrid¿?
Yeah, the Mandragora is really creepy I can't wait to see what else happens in the rest of this season it just sucks that we only have 13 episodes. There isn't really a connection between Dash and Ingrid I assume all witches have that being shown when they get an MRI.
What an amazing premiere! I really hope that Frederick turns out to be good. LOL at the whole family trying to find a cure for Joanna, even the ex went to Aamzon to search for a cure but Frederick just touched Joanna's head and it's done. I am very very interested to see the specific powers each witch has. We know Freya has premonition, I still don't know what Ingrid has. Killian has mind reading power! Cool! I guess Dash has telekinesis?
I love how much darker the season 2 premiere was than the previous season. I'm interested in the Ingrid/Mandragora creepy connection. Is it odd that I enjoy Dash being dark and angry, he actually scares me more than the Mandragora. I loved the touching scene with Joanna and Wendy…and then how comically Wendy breaks it by wanting Ingrid's instead. I can't wait til next episode to see how Frederick and Ingrid/Freya react to him individually. I'm a little more excited for Freya and Frederick though because they are apparently twins, so i'd like to see a little more special bond.
I love all of these positive comments! I watched one episode last season but never went back for some reason. I just posted that the promos for S2 were making me kick myself, they looked so dark and so good. I'm going to binge watch S1. I love finding "new" shows.
The gloomy lighting with all these copious amounts of lampshades (which were turned on even during the day?) took some getting used to but I do like the new ambience the show has going on.
They all don't just have one power though so we're not really sure what powers Ingrid, Killian, Frederick, and Dash's powers are I mean all witches have certain powers but we don't know their main ones at least not yet.
Yeah, I know about Freya but for a lot of the other character we aren't really sure about. I think reading minds is a unique one for witches but I could be wrong I just think it's not his main power and for Dash everyone can do the TK Blast I guess we just have to wait and see.
East Haven? I'm so confused. I thought the name of the fictional town the Beauchamps live in was Northampton, and the name of the Gardiner mansion was Fair Heaven.
The new cinematographer is great, but I take an issue with the lighting and post production. They don't have to take the new "darker" direction so literally and light the scenes so minimally. Not only that, but then it seems like everything is run through green filters during editing.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
What was that with the tentacle thing at the end... Creepy!
ReplyDeleteNice! The story is becoming intriguing with a dark twist. Looking forward to the rest of the season!
ReplyDeleteWhat at the end. But I'm so glad the show is back and that was an amazing premiere. Really don't trust Frederick at all, but I'm glad Joanna is safe.
ReplyDeleteLove it can't wait to see the rest of this season
ReplyDeleteSo...WOEE just went tentacle sex monster. Didn't see that coming.

ReplyDeleteI wished they hadn't changed the photography.
