I really enjoyed this episode. Rebecca Pine is so strange, I feel like her and Jim would make an interesting power couple, but she in turn is quite a negative influence.
The only reason the town is running out of resources is because the eat way to much, that Diner shouldn't always be opened, and they seem to have a limitless supply of coffee.
Norrie yelling at Melanie was awesome. Melanie is such a weird person and now she's either a time traveller, back from the dead, frozen in time or an alien using the appearance of Melanie (the latter seems more realistic).
gave it an ok.... the teacher character seems to have placed Sheriff Linda as annoying character drinking the Big Jim kool aid role for me, and now with Barbie somewhat drinking the kool aid a bit seemed a bit abrupt and is is part of the show losing my interest. I'm going to give the show one more ep to keep me for a bit otherwise it'll be time to cut it loose
The resources are running out, so the most intelligent and cold woman on earth that inexplicably is teaching in some little town high school instead of doing it in Harvard or MIT, proposes the most logical and smart solution, which is killing the weakest ones, instead of thinking in first rationing the food you have, and then start a massive plantation using the seeds they must have... anyway!!, I didn't like this episode I think the writers have serious issues connecting their ideas, I can't believe they use such a stupid arguments, especially with Julia and Barbie. I think it makes sense in Julia's side, the fact that she wants to believe in the ghost girl and that's why she let her stay in her house and blah, blah, and also I think is OK that Barbie doesn't trust her and pushes her to speak, but how can he said such stupid thing like "you should be more careful about bringing strays into OUR house" WOW!!, I mean, yeah he's right, she doesn't know she might bring her husband's killer for example, and that's DISPICABLE!!, God!!, how could a smart sensitive man say such a stupidity, and now it's his house too, I thought it was owned by the same poor bastard that he killed, and as that was not enough, again, the smart sensitive man that risked his life and was willing to die in the gallows for people's sake, is now contemplating the possibility of killing some of them but, JUST in case is EXTREMLY necessary... UNBELIABLE!!, this is a MESS, I guess I'll keep watching just out of curiosity, but I think this show is over.
Considering the previous epiosdes, this one was pretty strong and exciting. I especially liked Lyle and jealous Norrie. Of course there still are some problems with the writing. I did not get how exactly they stopped the rain but it felt a lot like bending the laws of physics. That Rebecca chick is really annoying. And then there's our most useless character the DJ-sheriff. Why is he Sheriff again? Why isn't he joining Barbie, Junior and Julia in arresting Lyle? Why is Phil even in this story?
I just cant believe after the all mighty premonition they had about not killing people, they want to do that now, that woman is crazy and they are buyuing everything she said.
Yeah that's the absurd part, actually I think this teacher is probably the most absurd character they could put in the show, I mean, she's not a believer, everything has a scientific answer, even the GIANT fish bowl that fell from the sky, probably the result of the condensation of the elements in the air... how could anybody experimenting such thing believe that there's nothing beyond the things be can see, c'mon!!, even the most reluctant person would become a believer after watching something like this happening in front of their own eyes.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

Where is the 'boring' option?
ReplyDeleteWhen the computer screen went blank in the middle of reading the e-mail, my first thought was that they shouldn't have used Windows 8.
