Ughhh!!! That's really all I can say. I'm not surprised, but I'm disappointed. I don't know how much i ll watch anymore. But we will see. Anyone else disappointed?
The only reason i watched this show was cuz of Britt Robertson and now well her character is dead. I was loving this episode alot. But now I hate it. I hope she isnt dead or something
I was like....Damn. As soon as I thought there might be hope for redeeming Linda, she was dead. And then the longer the episode went on, the more sure I was that Angie was going to be the other death. Especially when you paired her bloodlust for Big Jim with The Dome's desire for them to stop killing. Still, I'm bummed. The red herring of Britt Robertson being listed as a regular in other episodes was uncool of CBS...
Firstly, I liked the Stephen King creepy moments, but I'm not happy they killed of Angie. But overall it was a great episode, funny how Stephen King is trapped Under a Dome he's created from his imagination :)
The magnetic dome was really cool, especially the way it was shot attracting all the electromagnetic things toward it, especially at the house.
This season appears to be shaping up to be very mysterious, and the ending with the slashing of Angie reminded me of a headless horsemen type kill from Sleepy Hollow.
It's wired how easily this town is so easily manipulated to rally behind the murder of Barbie and then so easily go to the dinner and eat.
Yes, done with this show. It wasn't grabbing my attention all that much, but now they go and kill my favorite character/actress on the show. Angie and Britt Robertson made me give this show multiple chances, now I don't care anymore.
What were they thinking? Britt is a well-liked actress and a lot of people were watching it for her. You don't kill off the characters that bring in the audience!
Linda going wasn't at all surprising. Having law enforcement get in the way of Jim's attempt at ruling the world inside the dome made Linda highly expendable. Angie dying was surprising but she's sure to have a role in the hallucinations, as is Linda, so I'm not that concerned at all.
It's not just that I want to SEE her image. I want her to EXIST. I want her to LIVE. Hijacking her image as a hallucination to fuel someone ELSE'S character arc is not enough.
definitely a better ep than a lot of the latter eps last season.... so glad they lost the dead weight of Sheriff Linda early, and wtf with the ending? I wonder if this is S. King resetting the lore a bit as I understand that the Angie character dies earlier in the book than she was in the show... as for the new characters, it'll be a wait and see, but for me this was a better start than the show finished last season...
I've never had to work this hard to figure out where a show's plot is going before, and that's not meant as a compliment.
I definitely don't like the message being sent with Angie's death. Sparing murderer Big Jim and psychopath in training Junior whilst killing off two women is an unhealthy look. And it makes it worse if they continue to appear as hallucinations, because then they're no longer women, they're just plot devices being used to further character development of men.
Linda was poorly written last season, but the response to that shouldn't be to kill her, they should have tried to fix their mistakes.
The scene after everyone wakes up was very disjointed. Because as far as these people are concerned, one minute they're all out there ready to lynch Barbie and then five minutes later it's all forgiven. There's no real explanation as to why they just let it go.
Only Phil seemed to even remember wanting Barbie dead, but it looks like they're going to turn what should have been a righteous desire for justice into a crazed revenge thing. He'll spend the season being manipulated into doing Big Jim's dirty work, all the while oblivious to the fact that he's aiding Dodee's killer. It's clearly too much to hope that he finds out the truth at some point.
I was ok with Linda going, she was such an annoying, s****d carácter, but Angie was one of my favourites, if not my favourite, so this show just went straight to download and I'll watch once the season is finished. One less thing to watch on mondays.
I feel like they are doing a complete change like Revolution did (chaging the storyline from the 12 chips or whatever, to the nanos/war), without an explanation. Hopefuly it will work.
Well, you haven't seen Lost. 3 episodes before the SERIES FINALE they killed 3 main characters. Like, couldn't you just let them live for 3 more episodes?!?!
Stupid Julia stoping Joe from killing that weirdo girl who killed Angie. Can you be quiet for like 5 minutes?? I don't think the girl killed Angie (I think the uncle guy did) but her stupid face in the promo made me mad; like if she knows he's not going to kill her. STFU.
Between this show and "The Leftovers"...............I just don't have enough bread crumbs to find my way home, sorry! 4 ONE LAST TOUR UNDER THE DOME, I am Nobody!!!
Angie's death took me by surprise! But I'm glad Linda died, even though in the end she somewhat redeemed herself going against Big Jim and saving Barbie's life.
Overall, I think it was a great episode! It will be interesting to see who that girl is and what she has to do with the dome. And who killed Angie? What does Pauline have to do with all this, and why is she still alive? Let's hope the rest of the season is good as well.
OK, so Linda (thank God) and Angie, I guessed the second one, I really enjoyed the episode and think the season will have potential, there was a little part in the middle that was kind of boring, (when the teacher was explaining all that s****), but the rest was very interesting, so now Big Jim and Junior will be good guys??, I don't think so!!.
Besides Angie's unnecessary death,it was a decent start for me.I'll miss her,she was a good character.Everyone saw linda's death coming weeks ago,so it wasn't a surprise at all.
Damn, I wasn't expecting Angie to die when the episode began, but as soon as she came out of the diner at the end of the episode, I knew she was a goner. I will miss her. One of the 4 hands is dead, I wonder what repercussions that will have.
Well it seems pretty obvious that the zombie girl is an alien. Julie threw the egg into the water and minutes later a drowning catatonic girl comes to the surface splashing and flailing. She also apologized to Linda at the end, for inadvertently causing her death.
I'm actually starting to lose interest in the show. The episode definitely didn't grab me.
HOLY CRAP! I am shocked and sadden that they killed off 2 of the good ones and did not kill off that Dick Jim god I hate him. I cried when the 1st killed that lady cop and then I screamed when they killed off that girl its like WTF? and then who was that girl just walking the streets and saying I am sorry to that dead cop?
Nope! Angie was my least favourite character and I don't really like Britt as an actress either. As for Linda I never really considered her a main character so it doesn't bother me.
My guess Junior's mom ran away from Big Jim and must of faked her death to get away from Big Jim. She was literally bout to say it to Junior before the dream sequence was cut.
Really WTH :O so much for the dome dont want anyone killing with each other thing DAMN!.. Linda i Get it and then the Egg Dome girl apologizing but WTF with Angie? ... i didnt see that one coming.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Holy mother of God, what a start! Already loving this season! Awesome to have my favorite drama back! <3
ReplyDeleteUghhh!!! That's really all I can say. I'm not surprised, but I'm disappointed. I don't know how much i ll watch anymore. But we will see. Anyone else disappointed?
ReplyDeletewow what a good start so glad that cop lady is dead wasn't expecting that ending and who is that new girl human alien who knows
ReplyDeleteI didn't expect that ending at all.
ReplyDeleteI'm so pissed Angie is got killed, seriously why!!! I love Britt
ReplyDeleteI love this show, but Angie dying is making my hatred for this show grow more and more....I've never saw two main cast member die in one episode.
ReplyDeleteThe only reason i watched this show was cuz of Britt Robertson and now well her character is dead. I was loving this episode alot. But now I hate it. I hope she isnt dead or something
ReplyDeleteThey killed Angie? Well good, that's another show I can completely stop paying attention to. BBBBBBBBBYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEE Under The Dome!
ReplyDeleteAhh!!!!!!! Don't fuck, really!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAngie and Linda.
I was like....Damn. As soon as I thought there might be hope for redeeming Linda, she was dead. ReplyDeleteStill, pretty good ep.
Maybe now she'll be cast on something worth watching. Cuz this sure wasn't it.
ReplyDeleteFirstly, I liked the Stephen King creepy moments, but I'm not happy they killed of Angie. But overall it was a great episode, funny how Stephen King is trapped Under a Dome he's created from his imagination :)

Am I the only one who doesn't care that Angie and Linda died? They weren't on my top 4 list.
ReplyDeleteYes, done with this show. It wasn't grabbing my attention all that much, but now they go and kill my favorite character/actress on the show. Angie and Britt Robertson made me give this show multiple chances, now I don't care anymore.
ReplyDeleteWhat were they thinking? Britt is a well-liked actress and a lot of people were watching it for her. You don't kill off the characters that bring in the audience!
ReplyDeleteGiven how often the series brings characters back in the form of hallucinations I'm nigh on certain we will see Angie again
ReplyDeleteLinda going wasn't at all surprising. Having law enforcement get in the way of Jim's attempt at ruling the world inside the dome made Linda highly expendable. Angie dying was surprising but she's sure to have a role in the hallucinations, as is Linda, so I'm not that concerned at all.

This show doesn't answer questions, it just gives you so many new ones that you forget the old ones ever existed.
ReplyDeleteI was ok with Linda going, she was such an annoying, s****d carácter, but Angie was one of my favourites, if not my favourite, so this show just went straight to download and I'll watch once the season is finished. One less thing to watch on mondays.

ReplyDeleteNope, didn't care about Linda. And while I liked Angie, I wasn't too attached to her.
ReplyDeleteBetween this show and "The Leftovers"...............I just don't have enough bread crumbs to find my way home, sorry! 4 ONE LAST TOUR UNDER THE DOME, I am Nobody!!!

I care... I still can't believe it

ReplyDeleteDone with this show, Britt Robertson made it worth watching......
ReplyDeleteoh my gaaaaaaaaaaaaad I saw Natalie dying but Angie?
ReplyDeleteWELL DONE! Congrats Stephen King, I might start reading your books someday.
I didn't like Linda, but damn that was violent. And noooo, Angie!
ReplyDeleteLoved the Stephen King cameo. Always fun to see. Barbie and Julia are still adorable as ever.
Great premiere!
Besides Angie's unnecessary death,it was a decent start for me.I'll miss her,she was a good character.Everyone saw linda's death coming weeks ago,so it wasn't a surprise at all.

True I was only watching it for her
ReplyDeleteWell it seems pretty obvious that the zombie girl is an alien. Julie threw the egg into the water and minutes later a drowning catatonic girl comes to the surface splashing and flailing. She also apologized to Linda at the end, for inadvertently causing her death.
ReplyDeleteI'm actually starting to lose interest in the show. The episode definitely didn't grab me.
Nice nod to Stephen King in the diner.
ReplyDeleteyou wrote this sentence here and as a comment to other UTDome spoilers...
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Angie is gone, I'll miss Linda though. I like that new teacher woman too, I can't remember her name.
ReplyDeleteNope! Angie was my least favourite character and I don't really like Britt as an actress either. As for Linda I never really considered her a main character so it doesn't bother me.
ReplyDeleteAnd how come Junior's mom is alive?
ReplyDeleteI laughed when he asked coffee from Angie lol probably at that moment he thought in his mind poor girl she will die by the end of this episode lol
ReplyDeleteMy guess Junior's mom ran away from Big Jim and must of faked her death to get away from Big Jim. She was literally bout to say it to Junior before the dream sequence was cut.
ReplyDeleteReally WTH :O so much for the dome dont want anyone killing with each other thing DAMN!.. Linda i Get it and then the Egg Dome girl apologizing but WTF with Angie? ... i didnt see that one coming.
ReplyDeleteNoooo. Not Angie. Noooo!
