Well, that was much more violent than I expected. But Scott/Kira are absolutely adorable and I love them. Stiles/Malia are cute too, and I could be here for Braeden/Derek.
Whoa! That was violent Scott and Kira kiss was so cute love them Stiles hilarious on the field Stiles and Malia are cute I don't ship couples but Lydia and the cop forgot his name could be something so could Derek and Braeden also Scott mom and the new doctor over all good episode
I like Stiles and Malia together. Didn't expect Scott to bite the new kid. I really thought he was already something supernatural. The guy without a mouth is creepy.
Well that was awesome. Kira and Scott are still adorable. Malia was great like always, as were Stiles Lydia and even Parrish. The Wendigo reveal was cool, and Scott having a Beta so so cool. And the Benefactor so far he's shaping up to be an interesting and formidable bad guy.
crazy episode, i knew liam was going to be scott's first beta but i didn't know how, stiles and malia are sooo freaking cute and i love that she's using his system, just when i thought this show has shown every supernatural creature they bring a wendigo, i haven't seen one since supernatural, awesome and wow seeing scott's mouth full of blood not from being punched was haunting, and man the benefactor was creepier than i though, that hole in his neck i'm guessing it's food, is disgusting
Now THAT is the Teen Wolf I've been missing! Everything at the lacrosse field, both Kira and Malia were great, specially Malia, and that math class. hilarious! I just missed character building and fun lines. I also like the new pack member.
Does anybody else see the whole stiles/scott r/ship being hampered? by that I mean a little jealousy by stiles that the new guy was turned and stiles is still a normal person>
Sean’s got a brain! Awesome. Yes! Scary man kills your family...you do not stay around and try and beat him in a fight.
Loved Braeden’s negotiation tactics.
Good gosh! How far did Sean run? It was night time when he took off running from the house and daylight when he finally got to the hospital. :-) (Sorry, started typing as I was watching tonight. so this turned into a bit of a blow by blow.)
bwahaha “Maybe we should let the adults handle it” and the look on Stiles’ face! ( In fact Stiles complete reaction was hysterical.)
Why wouldn’t an extremely creepy mouthless dude know how to work a computer? Shiver. (Data port location = EXTRA SHIVER)
Okay, the highlighter color thing is the sweetest thing EVER!!!
Loved Sean’s teeth. (make up team is doing good this season) Good twist with Sean..
Well all of that was unexpected! Of course that’s how Scott makes a wolf.
**** Scott makes a werewolf in the process of trying to save his life. Definitely fits. Loved the open house reaction. NO ONE came. Dad. Settle into high school teaching. :-) Coach is back! Liam and the doc was interesting. Curious to know more. $10 bucks on Scott and Stiles! hee hee
Thoroughly enjoyed this episode. Nothing kicked me out.
Malia and Stiles are great together, they are quite similar and it's nice Stiles has someone like that.I'm loving her and all her scenes especially in Math Class. Lydia's notes were unsurprisingly cryptic, probably similar to what the mouthless (Mute/Benefactors) computer was displaying, a possible decoder?
Didn't expect Kira's parents to be getting ready to move so quickly. Coach was great, his scenes are hilarious.
I suspected that Liam was going to become apart of Scott's pack, but I didn't see the way in which it would happen. Thankfully the faceless man killed that Windigo, they must not be friends. Wonder why he killed that guy and his family.
Glad Lydia wasn't alone with in that body freezer room (possible food source for the faceless man). Lydia and Deputy Parish make a good body finding, detective team.
I'm glad Mama McCall was saved by Scott, especially so quickly, because that Windigo was seriously starving. Since Scott turned Liam, I'm assuming the Calaveras will be visiting Beacon Hills soon.
I can see the benefits of that...it would feel like he was more in control and like a step toward him becoming a stronger..or more powerful alpha. But can't think of any other way that it would work for his character. Scott dealt with being attacked and not knowing what was happening with him and he watch his classmates, who were given full disclosure and made the choice, suffer and 2 out of 3 died as a result. There's a lot of trauma in there. It's hard for me to see Scott choosing to turn someone.
"body freezer room (possible food source for the faceless man)"
I think the body freezer room is where the Windigo family kept their food stores. It was in their house (and how cool were the screaming faces in the wood grain.) My guess is this is one reason the body count in Beacon Hills hasn't been a lot higher.
Yeah, that was awesome, it's gonna make me start looking at wooden panels more closely :) Oh yeah, the Windigo family's food source, that's true, they must have been starving to have that many people.
Pretty Great Episode, I like the new Silent Man who every he is. I like the we are getting back to some of the mystery story telling and the twists. And seems like they are introducing more and more supernatrual species in the series Like I expected after Season 3A when they woke the Sacred tree again. The Windigo seems to be more powered by there natural forms and habits then their human ones so that was interesting.
Ever since the Mexican Grandma told Scott she would come after him If he turned anyone, I knew someone was gonna turn, and I knew it would not be on accident exactly. Most l likely an act of saving. Which was pretty much what he did to Liam, Saved him. He was gonna loose him to the fall, he subconsciously Scott sort knew that the only way to save him was to bite him just in case. That's how I felt and saw it anyways.
Also I understand Scott wants to be fare and not cheat with his supernatural powers within a game. However there were some questions raise by this. He got himself the co-captain position way since Jackson days with help of his powers, but he had to maintain that position some way right? So if he still had the mentality of not cheating back then after he got his co-captain position he would of had to be above average good to be able to maintain that position right? Yet that amount of maintained skill was not even present during this showmen ship... Or did he use a mix of his powers for many games in crucial times, but now just decided it would be cheating. Also I'm sure he can tone his powers down if he wanted to, but in normal human situation would something like casual practice gaming effect his as much that would make him sweat? Anyway I'm just noticed this ^^thing this episode.
Otherwise it was indeed a great episode, Malia simply makes me happy each week she is in the show now, I love her novice in the normal world and capable in the supernatural world vibe that she has going on. Oh and Scott Running kiss forgot what it was called, that he did to Kira was funny. I was right away shocked he just did that too. Good thing they are officially together now. Maybe that will stop their moving.
Stiles doesn't necessarily want to be a werewolf right now. And more the writers probably still want that one Human main character. If something were to happen to Stiles I am sure Scott would be the first to save him with a turn.
I loved this episode. Malia is so much fun, and the fact that she shares so many scenes with Stiles only makes it better. I really liked that the Silent Man was killing the bad guys. I like that he is not just a obvious bad guy, but something different, that we haven´t seen before. Great to see Coach back and the lacrosse team. The new kid seems to have some secrets, it will be interesting to find out more. I´m glad Scott bit him, It will be interesting to see how he does teaching his beta.
I liked it and I am especially glad that they seem to finally be delving deeper into mythology that is more indigenous to North America (Wendigos and such). Kitsunes and Oni just seemed to be too much of a stetch to me in 3B...although Kira is slowly growing on me.
but biting someone by mistake is still a violation or at least a moment where people go serieusly you could not find any other way...
and yes i get that scott would not just turn somebody but i think there are situations in which he would see that as an viable option like when stiles thought he was slowly dying/going crazy there could have been a moment where someone's life was ending where scott asked do you want the bite and that person could say yes or no. i think the reason why it's bothering me is i don't see this going somewhere good. *i can see the stepfather being pissed off and becoming the new argent(before we liked him) i* can see the kid becoming the new jackson a bit power high with attitude problems because why would he listen to scott he did not ask for this and scott is not comfortable being alpha so he will give the kid some slack because of his own experience in becoming a werewolf and will only inforce his alpha status after the new kid f8ckes up bad *i can see a war between beacon hills and the calaveras because scott turned someone he saved one life but how many are going to die trying to save scott?
and i would have liked it if scott's pack had had more permanent wolves before he bit someone i get that he has a pack that accepts all species but at the moment i am missing commitment malia could walk away any time she wants (as long as she can take her little spoon with her;) ) kira's parent want to move(and would she want to be pack if she wasn't mooning over scott?) isaac is missing?? allison is dead aiden is dead ethan is gone i get that derek will always try to save scott and scott will always try to save derek but is he part of the pack?
The only 'werewolf' in Mcall's pack is McCall, He has a human, fox, coyote and Banshee, it should be called a 'pack' it'a just another Buffesque scooby gang. Liam could well take over as Alpha, lets face it the kid could beat him and was totally human and what's up with McCall biting him? He couldn't reach him with his arm but he could with his teeth?Neither derek or peter have ever said they're in McCall's 'pack'.
Wow. Amazing. The by the way kiss between Schott and Kira was amazing. Especially Scotts reaction afterwards. LOL I can't believe that Scott did it. I know, I know. He felt responsible. He guy nearly got killed cause he was in the hospital because of Scott. He bit him so he could survive the fall. But still … he didn't know him. This guy could be a psycho. Besides, I still doubt he was human. He was way too good to be something but a sup (supernatural).
LOVED IT! Definitely one of my favourite episodes ever. So many great scenes. The new villian, new characters, Scott biting Liam was a surprise. New supernatural creatures (Wendigos). I didn't enjoy the first 2 episodes of the season but this episode was a huge improvement :)
Lacrosse: I was really surprised at how much time they spent on the Lacrosse field in this episode. Loved the shout out by the coach that the previous seasons team has been depleted by Jackson and Isaac leaving. But Greenberge is still there and we find out that he has been held back twice!! Where is Danny?
Braeden: Love the fact that Braeden is going to stick around for a few episodes. And I love her cover as a US Marshall. It reminds me of Supernatural. Team Hale needs a knowledgeable badass that is easy on the eyes!
Team Sheriff Stilinski & Mama McCall: I love the fact that the adults are stepping in and dealing with some things and going to the kids with other things. I can never believe shows like PLL when crazy things happen and the adults don't know anything and the kids don't talk to their parents! (I stopped watching PLL after season 2).
Deputy Parrish: I still don't know what is the deal with this guy. Is he a hunter? Is he a druid? His open mindedness and lack of surprise at the crazy sh*t occurring in this town is suspicious. Are he and Lydia going to become a thing? (How very Veronica Mars of Teen Wolf!)
Wendigo Mythology: Love the use of different mythology. Everytime I see wendigos in genre shows like Supernatural, Grimm & Fear( something or other) they are always sooo creepy. And the family being predators who were killed was a nice twist. So is the Benefactor doing good?
New Dr Guy (can't find his name on imdb) & Dylan Sprayberry: I love the relationship between these 2 characters. For one awful minute I thought the step-father that was mentioned (who taught Sprayberry how to play Lacrosse was Mr McCall!). The relationship seems genuine, race is not a issue which is great. But who is Sprayberry's mother? I don't remember any new adult female roles being cast. Is it the new Maths teacher? I hope she isn't evil and or dies. Scott Terming His First Beta: It was sad but enevitable and Scott won't take being his alpha lightly. Which is a quality I love about him. I have no idea how the Mexican hunter family will take this.
I think that right now, Scott wouldn't make the offer he made to Stiles for a stranger. The way I interpreted that offer was that, at that moment, Scott's fear of losing Stiles overrode his fear of what turning someone would mean. I don't really think he'd make that offer to a stranger...at least not until he's older.
I agree with you whole heartedly that it would be much better if Scott and the pack were more solid before he made a wolf, but having things go the way that they should or that's best for everyone is not the rule for good entertaining stories. Things will always go the worst way possible. I think you're right about all the ways in which Scott's turning the new kid could go wrong. But for me, that's all part of the fun of finding out what's going to happen next.
My personal (I don't know if 'rule of thumb' is the right phrase) is to realize the worst possible outcome is what's going to happen. I only get really disappointed with that outcome is the predictable or cliched outcome. That's why I was so angry about the way the Castle season finale ended. It was a major cliche.
Oh, regarding Derek being part of the pack. I think he solidly is. That, IMHO, was what the conversation he and Scott had at the hospital was about and, I think, it was at the root of the way Derek ran out to Scott's rescue with the Berserkers.
Who would leave Teen Wolf for Originals? O.K., I admit I haven't watched Originals. Mostly cause I hate what became of TVD. But seeing what JP did to TVD, I'd say that Teen Wolf has a better prospect than Originals. So why leaving a great show for something JP will ruin within 2 seasons (don't get me wrong. Originals, like TVD has/had great potential. But JP is just unable to do a good job)?
MTV is supposedly one of the lowest paying networks. After building up a bit of a fanbase, the cast are jumping over to other networks since they can get paid more. The only 3 MTV would probably be paying anything worthwhile are Posey, O'Brien and Hoechlin.
The Originals is a higher profile show on a higher profile network. When you're trying to build a long term career you have to consider these things I guess. I can think of a couple of great actors who were leads on off network shows. The series ended and I barely saw the again.
Yes. Seriously. Just because you're not on a major network. Just because the writing isn't always stellar doesn't mean that you're not great at your craft. There are a TON of extremely talented people in all of the creative areas of the entertainment industry who never make the right connection that leads to the job that makes a career.
This episode was bloody brilliant! Ok so I think it was really rude of them to put Malia in math when she hasn't been in school for so long, does she even know long division? Also I'm pretty familiar with the pre-calculus curriculum (at least in Canada) and they were doing actual calculus with three variables? They don't do that in junior year (is that how old they are now? too confusing). Mute man is creepy as hell and probably bad news because all mouth-less ax wielding creatures are no matter how many windegos they kill and alphas they save. New wolf I am so ready for that!!
Why was Derek barely in this episode? I think he needs his own spin-off honestly like Derek solving supernatural crimes and stuff! Derek and Argent together on the spin-off!! Of course the spin-off would only be if Teen Wolf was cancelled. This would also give Derek a chance to improve his social skills and flirting (Angel style) and maybe put on some real clothes. They would have an office and everything.
Well, I wouldn't know anything about how networks pay the cast and crew of a show. But money is not all (to me). I would rather be paid less and work on a show I like and a show that has quality, than be paid good on a show that will probably be canceled soon. As I said, I haven't watch Originals. I even stopped watching TVD cause it got more than ridiculous. So, if I would have to choose between TW and O, I'd go for TW.
Well, you do have a point. Unfortunately that is the fate of many actors from TV shows. Especially, when they play on one show for several years. If they don't manage to get a couple of good movies during that time, they will probably be stuck in shows forever. Which is really, really sad. Let's take TVD for example. It used to be a great show with amazing actors. Almost everyone from the main cast (Ian, Nina, Paul) has great potential. But you only see them in shows or low budget movies, which is sad. Do you watch Big bang theory? Jim Parsons (Sheldon) is an amazing actor. Or Tony Shalhoub (Monk). I think more producers and studios should give actors with that kind of potential a chance. A good movie. But please, no teen movies. They ruined Kirsten Dunst career. I was just thinking … I really can't remember an actor or actress that started in a show and later became a movie star. Do you? Sure, many of those stars (from shows) do get parts in movies. But almost never a break-thru. They almost always return to shows (or disappear). On the other hand, actors that start in movies, rarely do shows, but stay movie stars. Come to think of it …It's like two different worlds. I mean, music stars eventually get a better chance at becoming movie stars than actors from shows. Well, coming back to Originals and TW. Higher rated? Wouldn't bet my money on it. I never watched Originals. S4 of TVD was so disappointing … I stopped on TVD and never started on Originals. JP ruined a great show and I'm afraid what she'll do to Originals. So I think, TW has a better chance for a longer run than Originals. Maybe Originals has a higher profile than TW. For now. But as long as JP is in charge, … Since I'm not up-to-date about TVD or Originals, you're welcome to share any interesting news (as on renewal, cancelation, the main crew, …) I've heard, that the cast of TVD signed for 6 years (seasons) and that they already decided not to sign another contract. I mean, seriously. This show was their career. How desperate (or disappointed with the show) must an actor be to quit a show that is basically his/her career. And sadly it is. As I said, they are great actors. But you only see them in shows or low budged movies.
I liked this episode I liked how it focused on the lacrosse part cause we have to remember they are still teens after all. Malia still has not grown on me. I wish they would just give the whole story on Lydia and her banshee powers, this tid bits at a time is annoying. Scott and Kira were cute, she is starting to grow on me. The wendigo was a nice twist and so was the Benefactor guy. I think the benefactor guy was a wendigo and didn't like killing people and some how managed to seal his mouth shut so he couldn't eat people and have found another food source. We will see how right or wrong I am. Scott turning Liam was interesting, will see how this plays out. Over all a good episode.
i suspect that if Jim Parsons disappears from the screen it will be because he is on the stage.
there are a number if feature actors that went form daytime soaps to the big screen. (that used to be looked down on worse than first run syndie or cable)
i have been extremely disappointed in JP's work on. TVD....no yet on Originals but i don't trust her as I did Joss Wheadon. (Davis is earning a good deal of trust with me.) But CW shows are more visible in town and taken more seriously in the industry. a friend pointed out to me that in the credit list HBO(?) put out on the twins for The Leftovers Teen Wolf is not mentioned; only Desperate Housewives.
These days there are more and more women whose careers have primarily been features doing TV. The reason most frequently given is that the roles are so much better... especially as they exit their twenties.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Well, that was much more violent than I expected. But Scott/Kira are absolutely adorable and I love them. Stiles/Malia are cute too, and I could be here for Braeden/Derek.

ReplyDeletebut maybe i will like it beter in a few days
I've completely come around on Mailia, she's fucking awesome!. Her and Stiles are perfect together.
ReplyDeleteWell Scott would never do that consciously given it could kill someone and he wouldn't wish the burden on anyone else.
ReplyDeleteWell that was awesome. Kira and Scott are still adorable. Malia was great like always, as were Stiles Lydia and even Parrish. The Wendigo reveal was cool, and Scott having a Beta so so cool. And the Benefactor so far he's shaping up to be an interesting and formidable bad guy.

I have no idea how the Mexican hunter family will take this.
are you saying what i was saying but shorter?
ReplyDeleteor am i missing something?
Wow, really?! I actually couldn't contain myself I loved it so much! You'll be writing a review right? Can't wait to hear your thoughts on it :)
ReplyDeleteI think that right now, Scott wouldn't make the offer he made to Stiles for a stranger. The way I interpreted that offer was that, at that moment, Scott's fear of losing Stiles overrode his fear of what turning someone would mean. I don't really think he'd make that offer to a stranger...at least not until he's older.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you whole heartedly that it would be much better if Scott and the pack were more solid before he made a wolf, but having things go the way that they should or that's best for everyone is not the rule for good entertaining stories.
Working on it right now. I'm at the Nike informercial masquerading as lacrosse tryouts right now, so basically the whole episode.
ReplyDeletemuch better than previous two, especially chaotic first one.
ReplyDeletewhere is Isaac? Did I miss something or I dont remember some info? And what about that wolf twins? One of them was alive as far as I remember...
ReplyDeleteThe actors left for other shows. Daniel Sharman for The Originals and the twins for The Leftovers.
ReplyDeleteNot gonna lie I actually don't understand that viewpoint and disagree completely, but then again I enjoy watching Teen Wolf's characters interact.
ReplyDeleteYeah because helping maintain the show's budget while providing humour is so, so wrong. Really?
ReplyDeleteI'm asking about what happened to the characters. I dont recall any info in the show about what happened to Isaac and the other guy.
ReplyDeleteHis name is Todd Williams (New Dr. Guy)
ReplyDeleteI know him from TVD
never thought about it like that but I can definitely see it playing out like that!
ReplyDeleteIf you dislike my views, you can always ignore what I write.
ReplyDeleteGory and boring? Are you sure you weren't watching The Walking Dead? Or one of the crime Show procedurals? ;-)
ReplyDeleteWho would leave Teen Wolf for Originals? O.K., I admit I haven't watched Originals. Mostly cause I hate what became of TVD. But seeing what JP did to TVD, I'd say that Teen Wolf has a better prospect than Originals. So why leaving a great show for
ReplyDeletesomething JP will ruin within 2 seasons (don't get me wrong.
ReplyDeleteThe Originals is a higher profile show on a higher profile network. When you're trying to build a long term career you have to consider these things I guess. I can think of a couple of great actors who were leads on off network shows. The series ended and I barely saw the again.
ReplyDeleteAhhh. The short sentence is making me want tie you to a chair buy you a coffee and quiz you for details. I look forward to reading your full review.
ReplyDeletelast time we saw him ethan was walking holding hands with Danny. Its a mess, all those cast members leaving...
ReplyDeletegreat actors? seriously?
ReplyDeleteYes. Seriously. Just because you're not on a major network. Just because the writing isn't always stellar doesn't mean that you're not great at your craft. There are a TON of extremely talented people in all of the creative areas of the entertainment industry who never make the right connection that leads to the job that makes a career.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't referring to the specific actor. I was commenting on the question another responder posed "Who would leave Teen Wolf for Originals?"
ReplyDeleteThis episode was bloody brilliant!
ReplyDeleteWhy was Derek barely in this episode?
ReplyDeleteAs I said, I haven't watch Originals.
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking … I really can't remember an actor or actress that started in a show and later became a movie star.
For now. But as long as JP is in charge, …
Since I'm not up-to-date about TVD or Originals, you're welcome to share any interesting news (as on renewal, cancelation, the main crew, …)
I've heard, that the cast of TVD signed for 6 years (seasons) and that they already decided not to sign another contract. I mean, seriously. This show was their career. How desperate (or disappointed with the show)
must an actor be to quit a show that is basically his/her career.
ReplyDeletei suspect that if Jim Parsons disappears from the screen it will be because he is on the stage.
ReplyDeletethere are a number if feature actors that went form daytime soaps to the big screen.
