Meh, it was okay. Basically a repeat of episode 2 'The Box' - Eph still fighting with his wife over Zach, Setrakian lumbering about, Fet encountering more rats, Nora just kind of being there, and the survivors continuing to transform. The first book is so short, why couldn't they make this 6 or 8 episodes?
Like I posted (No Spoilers).........."Gone Smooth..........Right Around the Bend!" I understand why the pasting of this series has slowed down since the premiere, because it won't be much longer before we're watching "World War V" every Sunday night.............can't wait! Another excellent "set - up" episode...........it's hard to believe this is only the 3rd episode. 4 A KILLER STRAIN, I will be Nobody!!!
Eh, too slow moving and skipping all over the city. I didn't feel there was any suspense for all the characters who are infected and missing from the morgue. It was an oddly done episode. We had alot of quiet and then all of a sudden we get rockstar guy's thang falling off in the toilet. I think some people missed that because it was such a quiet ep. Even the rats exiting the sewer just didn't feel too suspenseful because no one was really there to care. I don't like the pacing of this show and I'm not sure I like the writing much either. I'll give it another watch or so.
The woeful writing continues. The CDC are unable to locate the remaining survivors despite them all being sat at home (with hilariously contrived reasons why none of them are seeking medical attention for their horrifying symptoms)? And since when do kids dictate their own custody arrangements?
i find it stupid how they cant find the remaining survivors when they're at their homes .. and no one is asking for any help with their situation !! ..
Am enjoying this. I don't foresee the numbers being huge because they're taking their time building the momentum. The pacing reminds me a lot of the mini-series version of Salem's lot. Hmm, actually the premise is quite similar except for scale. My only hesitation is that there are so few characters that I want to root for and/or attach to. Most of the 4 survivors weren't hugely likable characters to begin with. I'm not sorry to see them become monsters. And while I liked Eph in the pilot...his behavior at the custody hearing made me want to smack him upside the head. Two of the actors I really like ( Roger Cross and Kevin Durrand) aren't playing characters I can get behind. Oh, no, there is one character I like .... The guy who drove the coffin over the bridge. I like him. Other than that I am enjoying the show.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
