pretty good ep. sad cotw, but liked how it "resolved" in the end and that the greedy land baron guy was held off at least for a little bit. the whole Branch plot was weird and feels like it's been dragging for too long now. I'm not sure, but I thought that I saw a bit of resentment/jealousy with Ferg towards Vic a bit which seems out of left field (unless I missed it before or am mistaken). still not feeling the seeming push towards an eventual Vic/Walt pairing (even though I understand it's in the books), as the way it's coming across right now to me doesn't paint Vic well, as she really hasn't given Sean any respect at all pretty much the entire series. right now it feels really awkward and I kinda feel that it could've been left out as the show doesn't need it to be great and I always got more of a father/daughter vibe out of them up until this season, imho. but I trust that the writers will do a good job.
I think Longmire has its best season this year. I too believe Vic and Walt have no real chemistry, I dont think it is the actors but how they portray the characters. we can see that Vic seems to be attracted to Walt, but on the other hand we never got any hints Walt could be attracted by Vic, it just seems uncomfortable and awkward for him. Actually he doesnt seem like a man who can have a strong love interest after his wife's death. So they dont give us anything on Walt to convince us he is changing. He seems so self-efficient and loner and closed to himself. I wonder how they will proceed with this "pair"... so far setting the ground is rather poor.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
It was great to see in the interactions between Baily Chase and Cassidy Freeman!

To me it felt like Ferg felt ignored by Walt, the 'ignored child'
