yeah, that was a big disbelief suspension moment there, as it really doesn't seem likely that those 3 parachutes could move something that big to create 4 knots of speed in a moderate breeze...
The parachutes were not MOVING the ship. The parachutes were being used to spin the propellers and the propellers were generating the power to run the engines. Granted they did grey area the science a bit but they weren't asking us to believe they turned the ship into a sail boat.
I'm glad the ep was low on military action. It finally felt like I was being given time to get to know the crew and it worked for me. Is the guy playing the chef/chess hostage the guy from Boston Legal?
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I do have to wonder, though, if those parachutes really would have been able to help the ship move like that.
ReplyDeleteI was scratching my head on that one too. Maybe a dozen of those parachutes could have moved the ship but not 3

ReplyDeleteSorry, I must have misunderstood that bit.
ReplyDeleteno need to apologize. I hope it didn't sound like I was annoyed or being short. That was not my intention.
