Loved the training scenes. lol At this: Alex: "I'm breathing, nothing's happening." Michael: "Well how about you stop talking." Alex was so impatient there.
I really wish Becca would have told Michael why she was breaking things off now, because Whele was blackmailing her and it's to protect them both.
The William and David scene was intense. So was Claire blackmailing David. Oh, now David has an idea. He's going to soon find out about what William's been up to now.
Had a feeling the 8 ball was possessing Claire's mom. Reisen just couldn't let her go.
Loved it as usual :) I seriosuly need more Ethan & Alex scenes though. I can't believe we're 5 episodes in already I don't want the season to end :(
I don't know what it is that gets me so emotional over this show, when Claire and Alex were talking about Bixby and they went to kiss but couldn't bc Claire was marrying William I just couldn't handle it! :P
Both William & Claire being all badass towards David was pretty cool to see. And I loved the Michael/Alex interactions as well.
Re: last paragraph. Me too except I thought the big reveal was that Claire is half eight-baller herself if ever eight-balls can procreate, hahaha. And I just realized why the title is called "Something Borrowed". Those pesky writers. :))
I'm crossing fingers that Alex develops abilities to exorcise eight-balls because honestly, arming himself with just a loaded gun against an army of flesh-eating angels won't cut it.
My interpretation of that whole David/William/Claire blackmail is that William planned it. he was in his father's office and planted that scarf. What I am not sure about is whether he asked claire to go search for it or if she went on her own. But I loved how he took down his father a notch. OMG, kissing his forehead, that was awesome.
So that 8ball possessed Claire's mother's body. What a complication? This is getting so good.
The last one. We know the allusion when they used the title is obvious but I liked that it had a more underlying meaning with the twist they did in the end. :D
I thought overall, that this was a solid episode. But with the reveal, of Clair's mother at the end, i pushed it up a notch. I rated it an 8.5/10. I think that they are setting up David, for a "who shot JR" storyline. He's either going to be killed, or attacked and seriously injured.
I just re-watched that scene and William didn't plant the scarf. He found it in his pocket and panicked after he couldn't get a fire started to burn it. He stashed in the drawer to hide it, thinking he could retrieve it later.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

Errrmagad! This episode was the best ever. Broken hearts all over Vega. I am so excited about this show.

ReplyDeleteBixby, gone but never forgotten.

The training scenes were amazing.
Well Whele does use the words while giving Claire the necklace. Same for the episode Godspeed - Reisen said that during his scene with Michael.
ReplyDeleteI suppose you're thinking of the 8 ball having "borrowed" Claire's mother's body? Could be also that too.

ReplyDeleteNo, it's obvious that Claire was around 4 years old when her mother was possessed. She's in the portrait.

ReplyDeleteI got the hint about 20 second before they cut to the scene of Claire sharing a toast in her mother's name.
