Michael vs. David was a really badass scene. As was Gabriel's murder sweep at the diner. William is nuts to still want to follow him after seeing what he did - but then he does break bones of the people in his group.
I'm glad they explained why Michael can't sense the other angels.
So there are other angels hidden in Vega that aren't acting in the war after all that Michael knows about.
lol @ Michael calling shotgun. And at Mac for being all nervous around Michael. XD
The scene where Michael talked about Alex's mother dying and telling him he was the one who convinced Jeep to leave was so sad! It really touched me and hurt. The music did not help. And imagining baby Alex crying like he knew his mother was gone. :(
I know Michael will survive, but ack it's so unfair they left us on a hook! I can't wait for next week. It's too far away!
I'm starting to think that Alex has some sort of healing power. Nothing to base that on except that it seems like they are setting it up with Michael being so critically wounded. Then there's that spoiler for 1.05 involving 8 balls and exorcism. I'm going to put $10 down on that theory. :-)
Well I replied but it got deleted it seems. Anyway. My theory is that Alex has some sort of healing power. Why else would they set up Michael to get stabbed and be in critical condition?
I think that's a good way to show that Alex has healing abilities, but I'm not convinced that is what Michael was going to tell him. Alex having different special abilities is a given (he already has had visions). I felt like it would be something even more important. What I don't know.
Yeah, I think you are probably right. Maybe Uriel is there to heal him. I'm changing my opinion as I see other spoilers and pictures :-) Uriel is associated with the Flood from the Bible and the Nephilim. Gives me thoughts in other directions. Maybe I just need sleep.
Am I the only one that find the characters on this show really unlikable? I just can´t get into it because I don´t like a single character. I don´t think I will be watching it anymore....
Does anyone else think Michael got hurt on purpose? I got the distinct impression that he was manipulating Alex. If you watch that scene, he looks ta Alex fighting on the ground and then lets that red angel stab him. Was it a way to get Alex to go back to Vega quicker because talking to him was taking too long.
I loved the episode by the way. There are so many power players. Now David wants Becca to spy on Michael. I wonder how that will work. Riesen is sleeping with an angel but ask ruling with an iron fist. Gabriel is having his own power struggles with the red angel.
I thought he was going to tell him about his parentage because Alex specifically what was so special about him when there were other babies born that day.
Michael got distracted by Alex on the ground trying to fend off an apparently could be winning 8 ball, and when he pushed the sword away Furiad was able to swing around and stab him.
Seriously, the sword is deadly, and he would have had no idea what Alex would decide. Alex could have headed back to Vega or just tried to patch him up himself, went to some other town, or just left him be, for all he knew.
Plus, getting stabbed prevented Michael from helping Alex with the 8 ball (and Furiad - because he doesn't know Gabriel's plan of trying to get Alex on his side - he still thinks Gabriel wants to kill Alex). Lucky Alex was able to take care of himself.
I know Michael may seem shady to you, but he really isn't like that. If you watch Legion, you'd understand more, I think. He is the good guy here.
Loved it! This show really is such a nice surprise, I can't believe it's actually on SyFy!
Did we know Ethan was gay already? Either way im glad there's a gay character on the show, I hope they give him a love interest later on. That scene where William was crushing the mans bones was horrible, I almost had to look away!
I really really hope this show gets renewed and gets a proper ending unlike so many of SyFy's shows, im really enjoying it.
I have watched Legion and i know Michael is good. I am not saying he was doing it for evil purposes but merely to get his desired goal - Alex back in Vega. But maybe you are right. I maybe the only one that thought he was being manipulative. I actually love the Michael character but in his mission of protecting Alex, I think he will do anything.
Ah. Yes, he would do anything, sure, I just believe the manipulating part ended with wanting to go to the house and telling Alex what happened. I don't think Michael would think as far as crying to strike emotion in Alex. The story of his mother's death was for that part.
I love Michael and Alex. Reisen, Gabriel, and William aren't supposed to be liked since they are baddies. Not every show is for everyone. I won't be missing a single episode. :-)
No he wasn't manipulating him. He got distracted worrying about Alex. It explains why there's an upcoming episode where Alex starts to train with him. He probably realized that he's a liability to Michael if he's always worrying about him.
Good for you. I think the story could be interesting, but I just can´t connect with any of the characters. Oh, well, lots of other new good shows on. :-)
There are several reviewers online who thought it might be a manipulation but like I said it makes no sense if Michael wants Alex alive. lol You don't get yourself mortally injured when there are still a couple bad guys trying to kill the one you're protecting (or as far as he knew).
I also believe Michael was having honest feelings in the scene he cries. As I said in another post, he already said enough. And I didn't see him bringing Alex as a manipulation, it's such a cold word for someone who actually does care about Alex and was friends with Jeep. It was convincing Alex that accepting his role is important.
Really interesting episode, we could see a litlle bit more of Claire's father with that angel tho i dunno if she is Claire's mom or not. Arika is a double agent, that's a great move she pull out there lets see how she plays, she is great at reading people just with looking at Ethan she saw he was gay, she is a great force to deal with. I dont know who is being more Crazy, William's father or William himself, what with that ceremony and breaking the guy's ribs e.e. The Red Ranger Angel learnt his lesson, noone mess with Michael except for his his brother. Michael story was really sad, it was the perfect way to bring Alex to his side.
Is it wrong for me to want to see Gabriel getting into Alex's head, twisting his mind to go against Michael and humanity? I can see heaps of storyline potential if you ask me. :D
I'd take anything other than her and Alex. Off the top of my head even Alex and Uriel would be more interesting. And yes, the M/B romance is intriguing, as well.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Really loved this episode!

lol No, it's really just hard to say.
ReplyDeleteHere is the sneak Peek for 1x4. Really good one too.

There is a lot happening.
Do angels really cry? I said in my post that i felt that entire scene Michael was manipulating Alex.
ReplyDeleteI thought he was going to tell him about his parentage because Alex specifically what was so special about him when there were other babies born that day.
ReplyDeleteThey do because in Legion Gabriel was in tears when he "had" to kill Michael (Michael was later resurrected by God).
ReplyDeleteI felt that scene was genuine. I think remembering the past and maybe feeling guilty/recognizing Alex's pain among other things made him emotional.

ReplyDeleteThere's actually more than one gay character. Arika is also gay. She plays men for sex but she is married to a woman.
ReplyDeleteNo he wasn't manipulating him. He got distracted worrying about Alex. It explains why there's an upcoming episode where Alex starts to train with him. He probably realized that he's a liability to Michael if he's always worrying about him.

ReplyDeleteNot wrong. I wouldn't be against that for a few episodes in a future season. Want them to focus on what they've got now and get by season 1 first.
ReplyDeleteWilliam's father mentioned that Arika wife dropped her dead sister in the middle of no where.
ReplyDeleteArika remains me of wonder women and her amazon sisters lol
The whole "Princess falling in love with her protector" thing is so cliché. I wish he had a different love interest. A more interesting character.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it is a weak spot. That's probably why I'm more drawn to Michael/Becca's romance. That and it feels more mature.
ReplyDeleteI guess they wanted Alex connected to the higher ups in some other way then just being a soldier.
I'd take anything other than her and Alex. Off the top of my head even Alex and Uriel would be more interesting.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, the M/B romance is intriguing, as well.
Ooooh, Bixby is dead!!! Why? I thought she was something special!
