Is that a finch in the poster? Any other small easter eggs like that in it?
SO looking forward to this season…POI has always felt like a more realistic take on Batman, the characters, the rogue galleries, everything…always made me appreciate the series even more.
The scenario with the line maybe is because of the Samaritan/Government. The bird may be a hint about the cage and the prison that actually is the name of th first episode: "Panopticon". Panopticon is a circular prison with the cells arranged around a central well, from wich the prisioners could at all times be observed. Like I said, a birdcage. And there's only one draw open, but I don't remember it being open.
I don't know how long ago it's been released, but I recently saw this season 3 DVD artwork, and it's pretty cool! For some reason, they never release new cast posters before the show starts.
I love it as well. I remember last year with the take off of Washington crossing the Delaware and so many (including me) were confused or perhaps disenchanted with the poster, and then it made perfect sense as the season was unveiled as Vigilance was all about the Revolutionary War era. So to me, this is simply the writers and creators once again cryptically pointing us to the direction/theme/undercurrents of Season 4. It's very cool. Yes, things have changed, there is much upheaval, but there is also life -- thus the bird (and yes, perhaps it is meant to be a finch) so as to say that even with new aliases, Finch and Co. are still there behind it all.
Because I guarantee you it was meant to be finch. If it doesn't, then that's a problem of the person who drew it, but I guarantee you that was it made to be a finch as there would be no other reason TO have a bird in that poster.
I know its Suppose to be a finch but finches do not have long tails like Wrens, Cat Birds or Blue Jays... The way the tail goes up at an angle i would say a Wren.
I might not be Einstein but i am a birder! ..and who ruffled your feathers, sheesh!
That was me entire point though. You may say it wasn't a finch, but it was obviously meant to be one. I could even say that the posters looks nothing how the library looked when the SWAT infiltrated it, but that's just silly to say.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
love it. very different
ReplyDeleteI will so miss the library base.
ReplyDeleteI'm a little disappointed in this poster actually.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, Please remind me again how upset I am about the library ... and Carter ... and the direction the show has taken ...

This art-poster is soooooo bored. We want a real poster (that shows the badassery team: Reese, Finch, Fusco, Root and Shaw!)

I love the direction, I think it's bold, expertly executed and brilliant. I'm just so ready for some Team Machine payback.
ReplyDeleteI like the poster.

ReplyDeleteSorry, but that bird is not a finch.
ReplyDeleteOkay Einstein, what bird is it?
