ReplyDeleteI don't know how they can understand her as she is speaking 1940s English and they are Scottish from the 17th(?) cent. But I suppose we just have to go along with that. I hope that they do address this issue, even if it is quickly dismissed.

ReplyDeleteIn the book not everyone can understand her (only those who have learned english), they are also often shocked by her language and she is sometimes trouble with the lokal accents, too. She adjusts pretty fast, though.
