If Regina goes back to evil because she lost her boyfriend of a few weeks, as hinted in several places, I'm so done with this show. Season 2 was bad enough in terms of her flip-flopping.
If the whole Marian thing was done just because the writers wanted to make Regina go back to being evil after she'd spent an entire season working on her redemption, I will flip. That would be even worse that OUaT writers' usual laziness. You gave Regina redemption and made her into an anti-hero. OWN IT. Make it work.
Maybe the writers should let the "Regina is evil, nope good, nope bad, nope good again" story go, once and for all. No kidding, this being in the season's description just reinforces my theory: I should let go out this show.
Oh, wow. You're probably a fan of Klaus from The Vampire Diaries/The Originals too, huh? I just love how fan of murderers, rapists, abusers, etc. explain to me that I'm not sophisticated enough to understand their favorite characters' woes because I think they should *gasp* be held responsible for their crimes, rather than achieve "redemption" after 5 seconds because mommy and daddy were REALLY mean to them, and besides, they said they were sorry! (Or in this case, "She lost the love of her life", blah blah)
All joking aside - Regina has her chance at redemption now. The denizens of Storybrooke have forgiven her for the many horrible things she's done to them, which doesn't go without saying. If she chooses to throw that chance away because she lost a guy she's been dating for a few weeks, then I'm completely over her and her fans' bullshit excuses. That's not oversimplifying anything, it's just looking at the facts objectively rather than bending over backwards to make excuses and apologies for your favorite character. No, I don't care how much she was abused as a child or that her lover was murdered. Those are mitigating circumstances but do not erase murdering, raping (Graham) and otherwise hurting people who are NOT responsible for what she's endured. In the real world, as I'm sure you're aware, people don't get off scot free for serious crimes because they have a sob story.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I have no idea where this is taken from. Any help would be appreciated.

ReplyDeleteMaybe, Regina should just "Let it go." ;-)

ReplyDeleteIs Olaf in the show, too?
ReplyDeleteI'm still hoping she's Marian at all, but only time will tell...
ReplyDeleteNothing on the The Knave?!

ReplyDeleteI don't think they even mentioned him at the comic-con panel.
ReplyDeleteWow! Maybe they changed their mind?!
ReplyDeleteThere was a clip shown of Ginnifer Goodwin and Michael Socha on set.
ReplyDeleteCool! Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteWay to oversimplify the issue.
ReplyDeleteNope. Sven is, though.
