Master storytellers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz ("Lost," "Tron: Legacy") invite everyone to join Emma Swan, Snow White, Prince Charming, The Evil Queen, Hook and all the other resident fairy tale characters as they prepare to defend themselves against a magical force from the past that's too dark and unpredictable even for Rumplestiltskin - The Ice Queen.

So Elizabeth Mitchell is "The Ice Queen" !!!
ReplyDeleteThe Ice Queen = Elizabeth Mitchell, I am guessing Elsa and Anna will help the town against her.
ReplyDeleteElizabeth Mitchell would make a good Ice Queen, she did play Mrs Clause on The Santa Clause movies, she's familiar with this territory :)
ReplyDeleteExcept this summary is really old! It was on ABC medianet a few days after the end of the third season, so really before the announcement of Elizabeth Mitchell ;)
ReplyDeleteIce Queen = Elsa, who is in reality the Snow Queen. I just think there is a copyright problem with the original fairytale, that's why they changed Snow Queen to Ice Queen :)
Elizabeth Mitchell is The Ice Queen and Elsa is The Snow Queen? Either way I can't wait for this season, the cast seems great.
ReplyDeleteAnd she is at her best when playing evil!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see her interact with the cast especially Rumple and Regina :)
ReplyDeleteCan you please explain why Belle and Rumple is not mentioned along with all the other main characters?! THEY ARE AN IMPORTANT PART OF THE SHOW YOU KNOW!!!
ReplyDeleteThey mention Rumple at the end but not Belle, Once Upon a Time synopsis's are usually very vague, don't worry :)
ReplyDelete"Master storytellers" - thanks for making me spit out my drink.
ReplyDeleteHere they refer at Elsa as the "ice queen"...
ReplyDeletehttp://abc.go.com/shows/once-upon-a-time/news/storybook/20140503-frozen-elsa-once-upon-a-time-casting
I think Elsa will still be the main story, neither do I see Elizabeth Mitchell's character appear in SB! I see EM's character more like a pull of Evil that pushes Elsa away from Anna. But maybe I'm wrong, we'll see!
ReplyDeleteThey started shooting so I expect some interesting cut together material for Comic Con!
haha I almost did the same thing!
ReplyDeleteFirst thing I've ever seen her in and I've loved her since.
ReplyDeleteMe too :)
ReplyDeleteSame here :-)
ReplyDeleteLOL, well to be honest, that didn't actually happen - but that might be just because I wasn't drinking anything while reading :)
ReplyDeleteHas anyone considered that EM will be Elsa in the present, and that Georgina Haig will be Elsa in flashbacks?
ReplyDeleteI think they said the exact same thing last year as well.
ReplyDeleteWow ! Great Idea! But doubtful ! Don't think she aged in that bottle assuming Rumple looked her in when she was young and all gaga and, not able to control her powers! But you never know!
ReplyDeleteYES! Poor EM is the villain, but I'm sure there will be a good twist and I still think Zelena may be around as well, so this could be a fun flip-flopping season between Regina, Rumple, Zelena, and The Snow Queen....Bet a million dollars that The Snow Queen makes Belle "sick" again!
ReplyDeleteI did wonder about that, but I thought Elizabeth Mitchell's announcement yesterday alluded to seeing her in both places, but it was worded in such a way where it could be an extension through a shared character, like you said.
ReplyDeleteBut I think that they will have to take the Snow Queen/Frozen story and put their signature spin on it and thus I think we could see something different than what people may be expecting.
Mitchell’s Once Upon role isn’t being revealed yet, but we’re told she is “possibly malevolent” with ties to royal Frozen sisters Anna (newcomer Elizabeth Lail) and Elsa (Fringe familiar Georgina Haig) as well as to Storybrooke and Arendell. "
ReplyDeleteAlthough it's surely worded in such a way where the word "ties" could be taken several ways, I think it could be implied that EM's character will be in Storybrooke. I'm starting to wonder though, now rereading this for like the 8th time, if maybe EM's character is not a Frozen character at all, but some other fairy tale off shoot, whether is be more Russian myths (like a Romanoff!) or if she's connected to something completely different like Oz or Camelot?
But I do think that you are right in that she is the divider of Anna and Elsa...
Her Revolution character (and certain aspects of Revolution episodes themselves) had allusions to Alias. Rachel Matheson has some qualities/parallels with Irina Derevko. In Alias eventually Sydney and her half sister Nadia are apart of Rambaldi's prophecies dubbed as "The Chosen One" and "The Passenger"...They also have two aunts...one was decant (Katya) and the other (Elena) was trying to pin Nadia and Sydney against each other, as the prophecy was worded in such a way to suggest that the sisters would "fight" each other and Elena was trying to destroy Irina's work...Considering that was partually about a torn apart Russian family and OUAT is going with Russian Myth(s), I think there could be something rather similar going on....
My initial hought was that EM culd be Aurora's mom. It somehow felt right, so I wouldn't be surprised if she is a character from an other FT or story. Maybe from Camelot or so! The creators always surprise us and I could see her being connected to Charming maybe give his family line some backstory. We still don't know who his father is.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I don't see EM being in Storybrooke would be cause only Elsa came back with Emma and Hook and if she is evilISH she wouldn't be in hiding in SB, she would mean ut.
Unless more came through or will come through the portal and/or another portal is opened, or that some of these characters came to Storybrooke through the second curse via a new association to Zelena, as we know there are characters in the EF that didn't go last time, that did this time (Robin Hood)
ReplyDeleteKing George isn't David's biological dad, he is his adoptive father. He just took the baby from mother Charming cause she needed money.
ReplyDeleteOh really? Why did I think otherwise...Well shoot there goes that theory! XD
ReplyDeletelol master storytellers
ReplyDeleteNo she wasn't . Remember the Lancelot episode, when Lancelot took Snow to King George andtricked her into drinkng the poison that made his wife incapable of having children. And cause his wife couldn't have kids, he took James, David's brother from their Mom. She was alone and culdn't take care of them.
ReplyDeleteCalm down.
ReplyDeleteI remember that, but for some reason I kept thinking that RUTH (their mother) wasn't a good person (I didn't trust her), -it's probably because her Fringe character(s) acted as a pseudo-antagonist to Olivia and because Charming's whole family's story has winks to "sawyer" and the con-artist/lying about the truth aspect. Personally I would prefer that she wasn't their mother, because I like my theory better, as I think it would have tied things together better IMO.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Ruth was initially alone. I know she made a deal w/Rumple a child for the farm so she could make a living, but I swear it was mentioned that she did have a husband sometime prior to those events.
Maybe it will turn out that she wasn't their mother at all...We never did see her give birth, so who knows....
For all who thinks it's stupid to call Adam and Eddy "Master storytellers", chill out. This is because they tell stories in a different way than they should be, and they're doing a great job. Proves that so many fans are still watching the show. So what's the problem
ReplyDeleteWell I think they aren't the greatest story tellers ever, but I do think that despite some execution/over repetitive problems from time to time and that they listen to fans a little too much IMO (and the fact that they had to write/produces two series last season), doesn't mean that they are not very creative. There are some episodes that are REALLY fantastic and I adore the cast!
ReplyDeleteSo they're still trying to say that Eddy and Adam are "master storytellers?" In what universe? They keep adding more and more plot holes, have dropped a lot of threads, keep making almost everyone related, giving the villains sob stories, spend most of their time focused on them, rip apart established story to force in one of their villains even though that villain's story is over, also have a lot of out of character behavior to help force in that villain, and have quit being a family show and become a crappy soap.
ReplyDeleteHope this is the last season for this crap. It had a lot of potential in the beginning but now it's just a mess.
I hope this is the last season you will watch. For you it is a crap but "your opinion" is not "everyone's opinion". Deal with it.
ReplyDeleteit does sound like it huh, damn it i really wanted her to be a hero, god the thought of her trying to kill people is going to be hard, elsa and her going head-to-head is going to be interesting
ReplyDelete==>
ReplyDelete"Master storytellers" hahahaha.
ReplyDeleteWill we see Hans in Storybrooke, too?
ReplyDeleteThere's quite a lot of people who agree with me.
ReplyDeleteWas that your opinion? Don't watch?
ReplyDeleteLost is overrated.
ReplyDeleteSure. "quite a lot of people" can stop watching and stop behaving like spoiled divas, than demanding to end this cool show.
ReplyDeleteIn your opinion "They're being wasted".
ReplyDeleteYeah, I don't understand how people watch something they have grown to dislike. And how they waste their times on the spoiler sites...
ReplyDeleteI wish I had that much free time...
LOST is over rated to YOU! To me it will always be my favorite series of all time. I love the concept and I love the ending. I think if someone isn't open minded, capable of metaphysical and/or [spiritual] philosophy, then LOST wouldn't be the series for them, because multiple incarnations through death (the flash sideways) is the answer to all of the mysteries, as it would take lots of comparative time lines to understand the exact quantum mechanics of it, in order to get answers to some of those questions, because one would have to look at people in variable sets working towards "moving on" from their fears, which all stem from the unknown and what the Island houses: life, death, and rebirth...but the point was to be "LOST" (in the dark about the true nature of reality/realities, even when it's right in front of one's face!) The Island is a space-time machine!
ReplyDeleteThe plots are repetitive in some sense, but I think it's also thematic to the idea of Fate and Karma, being tested by similar situations time and time again...but the difference is where certain characters end up. and/or the kind of characters they become in differant seasons. Regina and Rumple are both about to slip up, Emma finally has chance to move on from Neal, which could be a good or a bad thing depending on if any of these upcoming events connects with Bae or Killian, ect. Regina and Rumple are really not the same people they were in the beginning of the series---that's progress, even if the idea of always confronting an enemy is the same. Some great Anime's run a lot like that.
The Ice Queen, like the evil type from the fairytale? i would lobe to see that
ReplyDeleteWell guess what ratings r not dropping
ReplyDeleteNot my fault you can't see how crappy the writing has become.
ReplyDeleteYeah 12 million to 6 million is not dropping. Oh wait, it is.
ReplyDeleteWho says I'm watching. I came over to see what they were saying about the 4th season. Like I'm spending a long time here. Idiot.
ReplyDeleteIt jumped the shark by the end of the first season and became stupid.
ReplyDeleteSweetheart. I know the whole writing thing can be crappy. I did not impair that. I just detest people claiming "cancel this show, because I - one person - or few did not like it. Let's make unhappy couple millions of people, because I - one diva - demand it"..
ReplyDeleteIt's so funny you waste your time going on a board of a show you hate and want to end. Guess some people have an odd way to enjoy their free time. Besides s3 was an improvement to s2, stable ratings, and neverland was fine but wicked was pretty good to me and many, and s4 looks pretty good.
ReplyDeleteSure s3 was no s1, it was good, but not the best, but no one needs your comments
Yes, sweetheart.
ReplyDeleteDon't get into it with Darthlocke4. They're obsessed with Lost, think it's brilliant (it's not) and imagine all these "deep" storylines because of it that are shallow at best.
ReplyDeleteBelle is a secondary character who is only important when they need to have Rumple treat someone badly.
ReplyDeleteLost is probably one of the most overrated shows I've ever seen. It was mediocre at best.
ReplyDeleteThere's a difference between telling stories in a 'different' way (which they aren't) and using racist, heterosexist and sexist tropes, while dropping storylines and putting very little thought into the stories beyond what moves them on to the next episode/season.
ReplyDeleteDisagree. Not all of the stories have been Disney versions alone, but mixes of Disney and the original tales (including some Judeo-Christian subtext), but with their own spin, as in it iS creative to put them all in the same universe(s) and have these massive connections in ways none of these tales have ever been told before--to make an epic family saga out of it.
ReplyDeleteUsing the same formula can be THEMATIC and a stylistic choice, as again the show it very much about FATE or KARMA and thus, characters are going to be tried by similar things time and time again until the end of the series. Some characters have attempted to change so it has not been the exact same thing every season, as some of the characters are beginning to take on new roles/exhibit new emotions/relationships that they hadn't before. That's not to say that some characters have been seriously neglected in this area, but I will give the writers the whole series, before I overly criticize them on something I have yet to see happen.
"Don't get into it with Darthlocke4. They're obsessed with Lost, think it's brilliant (it's not) and imagine all these "deep" storylines because of it that are shallow at best."
ReplyDeleteSo wait, there's more than one of me?! I'm a collective conscience?! Thank you, how enlightening! XD
LOL, it certainly looks like you are spending time here, "Idiot"
ReplyDeleteI this the ice queen Elizabeth Mitchell will be the real version of the story Hans christen Anderson and Elsa is just a great great granddaughter in the movie doesn't explIn how she got her power
ReplyDelete
