    I thought so too, but then the movie would've to involve time travel... maybe they go through a wormhole to get to the new planet...

  9. I was thinking the same. I wonder if there is a "twist" here where the alien planet they end up on is actually Earth in the future? A bit too planet of the Apes though..

    The original planet of the apes was way bfore my time, so I would love to see soe contemporary version of that idea.
