Not sure wether this is a promotional image for the official toy line or an actual promotional poster for the flick itself. Rest assured Cavil does look quite like he's made on plastic on this image.
Semi exited for this, on the one hand I can't wait to see how Affleck will do as Bats, on the other hand I dislike the super dark TDK-y tone Snyder took my Supes.
Hmm. I think I'll try and withhold judgement on how he looks here until I've seen the film. I was so excited for Man of Steel (Superman is my favourite superhero), and I love the grittier versions that are coming out these days, but I just didn't enjoy it. Maybe my expectations were too high. I'll lower them for Dawn of Justice. But the dude looks like he's made out of plastic. Maybe I need to lower them some more. Hopefully it will be amazing and I'll look like an idiot for ever doubting it.
It's not about JC overshadowing him or something. The guy is just so different. I found out from watching a vid on ytube (the birthday toast), before or shortly after the man of steel came out. And I was completely stunned.
I would have to say it looks better than Burton's Gotham. Burton tried to make it a bit too 'gothic'. I'd rather see a mixture of goth and "gritty alleyway" like the Narrows portion in Batman Begins. That's also the look Gotham seems to have in the new FOX series too.
This is really odd. The touch up that's been done on this poster makes Cavil look really old. It's making me think of the cover of the Kingdom Come comic's cover.
This is the flick with Affleck as Batman. I will try really hard to keep an open mind.
not a good job on photo shop, and if this was the intended result, then yea don't look good. seems like forced shadow, or like a black and white world shown in color. huh?
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteOooo! Glad We Get To See Zack Snyder's Version Of Gotham.
ReplyDeleteNo doubt at it being Gotham, looks a bit Burton-esque. Gives me some hope :D
ReplyDeleteAt least we now know that this user is actually Jason Stackhouse!
