  3. The Supernatural character sounds like it will likely be just another "bad" angel or something. I hope it's not just another angel/demon looking for power. That would be super lame.

  4. Scottish accent? Crowley's mother/sister.
Whatever she is , she's just another secondary character to take time away from the story and POV of Sam and Dean.
Or maybe she'll be needed for the second attempt at a spin-off, which Carver will have already put his great creativity to work on!

These writers are just so untalented and uncaring of the show that apart from trashing canon, they are incapable of introducing new and interesting story-lines.
Everything ends up the same way, with no development and with the characters meeting untimely deaths just to get rid of them. Abadon for example, brought back from a spectacular death just to be uselessly killed off again.

Well, that's just the way the ball rolls now, Supernatural for dummies.

  5. So stop watching then. Seriously you're like a broken record at this point.

Also, Abaddon never died. Her meatsuit was torched and resurrected. Besides how is being set on fire a "spectacular death"?

  6. Looking up the name Rowena, has me thinking she could have something to do with either witchcraft or pagan gods.

  7. Serously if you don't like the tune, stop listening.
These writers only deserve criticism until they come up with better stuff. If they do then I'll praise them to the high heavens!
If you think they're great, good for you. Your opinion is legitimate, as mine is.

Abaddon was or rendered ineffective by the bullet with the symbol cut into the tip, and her body chopped up in the ep. with Henry Winchester. That was spectacular!
    She was resurrected for nothing.

  8. And Crowley's mother was a witch….

  9. Stop watching it if you think it's so bad, when it's clearly not.

  10. Exactly. If you don't care about what SPN is doing, then stop talking about it. That's like me complaining about Chris Brown.

  11. Besides the fact that you say the exact same thing every time. It's just baffling, you should hed your own advice; don;t like the show, stop watching.

  12. What the others said: If you don't like it, don't watch it. Why torture yourself watching something you don't like?

  13. I'm hoping the Crowley son Gavin story line is dropped quickly. But now this Scottish actress is making me wonder. What we all want to see is Demon Dean be a badass.

  14. So you think that anyone who still enjoys watching Supernatural is a dummy! Wow, thanks for that, never been called a dummy online before!

Rowena is most likely based upon the figure from British legend, also named Rowena.

She was said to be a smart women with extremely good looks. She used them to her advantage and lured in men, seducing them (and in some cases marrying them) so she could bring power to her father that she intended to one day be hers. Most notable was her seduction of the King of Kent. He gave his entire kingdom in exchange for marrying Rowena. Rowena however never managed to get the power herself, depending on the version of the tale she was either defeated by Angels or by her own children.

One legend suggests that after marrying the King of Kent, he was soon after punished by Angels for consorting with the devil. Those who had ties to him were also to be punished. The legend never says if the Angels ever actually punished Rowena, or if they did...how.

Another legend suggests that her intelligence and looks came from sorcery. She married the former King of Kent (as he gave the power to her father) and gave birth to his children. Before his death however, her father gave the throne to her son. Skipping Rowena entirely.

She began to influence her son to kill her father, pretty much like a wicked stepmother. The intent being that people would turn on him and look to her to lead. So she never had the power or the throne herself, but she had control over her son who did.

Eventually they were defeated in the 'Night of the Long Knives' which served as the basis for Game of Thrones 'Red Wedding' (so you can guess what happened). Rowena was the only one spared due to her beauty. What became of her afterwards is unknown. This legend of Rowena forms the basis for Morgan Le Fay (aka Morgana) from Arthurian Legend.

She was a survivor, a tough but elegant woman who wanted to reclaim power and may have had a Scottish accent. It all fits.

  17. That's what I going with, too - a HP version of badwitch!Rowena rather than the 'historical Rowena'. In the past few years the show has hinted at they were going to do variations of other 'semi-historical' or 'fictional themes' (Galahad, Parsifal, The Fisher King, among others) but has never gone anywhere within shouting distance of a "SPN version" of these storylines. This 'Rowena' will likely have some connection to Fergus (Crowley) as the casting sides call for seem to call for the actress to speak with a Scottish accent.

Yep, that would be my guess. Rowena from HP was betrayed by her own daughter who stole Rowena's diadem - magical artifact, source of her magical abilities and skills. So I can see SPN version of this story involving "loving" son Crowley and his powerful witch mama, who lost her powers because someone decided to get his hands on her only source of magic.

  19. You haven't gotten around the internet if you've never been called a dummy, lol.

  20. The Gavin storyline has to be resolved, though. It would be interesting if this is indeed Crowley's mother and she's the one that sends Gavin back.

  21. IA. The question I have (assuming the show goes with the Fergus (Crowley)/Rowena connection is what's the actual connection. If Rowena is "Crowley's Mom" did she die and go to Hell (witches get their powers from demons and go to Hell when they die) or she still alive (like 900 year old Patrick from S5, over a 1000 year Maggie and Don Stark from S7)? Why is she only 'surfacing' now? Or did Gavin find his own way (somehow) back to his own time, not board and Rowena is one of his descendents?

  22. I was thinking more this Rowena.
