“Right now, if you were in the writers’ room, you would probably tell me that the theme is ‘Meredith,’” Rhimes shares. “Because all I keep saying is, ‘The show is just about Meredith Grey!’
“It’s really a Meredith-centric season,” the EP continues. “She’s lost her ‘person,’ her [half-]sister has shown up, her husband is chafing to go someplace else…”

Yay for a Meredith centric season! I'm really liking what we've heard so far.
ReplyDeleteYeah, and i can't wait to hear how her mother kept this secret from Weber, her husband and kids.
ReplyDeleteHow is skipping a day considered a time jump?
ReplyDeleteWhat confuses me is the age of this sister. Meredith. Meredith took some time out so we figured she went to med school when she was older and Lexie skipped years that's why they were just a year apart at work. Meredith and co are fellows so how could this sister 5 years younger so guessing similar age to Lexie have finished residency and her fellowship be a working attending with an excellent resume and experience to be put as head of cardio.
ReplyDeleteAlso Meredith said the Chief met her mother when she was three. So shouldn't be older. Wouldn't Meredith have remembered a pregnancy.
Unless Meredith was taking away after the suicide attempt and that's when Ellis had the baby.
Also if thatcher new Ellis had gotten pregnant by Richard wouldn't he have left rather than Ellis leaving. Shondaland timelines can be so confusing.
I'm glad it is going to be Meredith centric because it seems lately she's played a supporting role in the show, even in her career. Alex had the big deal with the Africa kids and Christina has pretty much been a hot shot since nearly the beginning. Now it's almost like she's just an average surgeon.
