    Why didn't Max turn Lori into the police? Why is everyone going along with Carter's "she's my real mom" bullshit? THE WOMAN KIDNAPPED HER AND NEEDS TO PAY FOR HER CRIME BY GOING TO JAIL.

    I agree with you. However, Max knew Lori as a Carter's mom. I can understand him. Carter...not that much. In most cases, I have an urge to slap her.

    I know what you mean. I was glad to see her being portrayed as selfish finally, instead of some paragon of perfection. carter is certainly a brat most of the time.

    saying one thing and meaning something else is quit common, people do it when they lie, sometimes to protect others for example. Max is Carters best friend understandable. Her new friends (all kids), 'play'along, atleast for me it's pretty hard to read anything else into their actions and conversations.

    Carter was actually pretty likeable in episode 4. No drama at home, she even treated Elizabeth well. I dont blame her for getting upset with Bird about the painting.

    This show is ridiculous the whole kidnapping issue is an excuse, it's just a drama about a messed up family and the writing is just bad.

    I think it is perfectly understandable why Carter does not want Lori, who she knew as her mom for 13 years to not go to jail.
