That's interesting. The first time I watched this scene, I thought he was using some sort of illusion to make himself look like Lewis, but your interpretation makes more sense :)
Great series but I noticed that there was one angel seems to be missing in this whole storyline I believe his name is Lucifer. Where is the first angel loved among all angels by God until that love faded away? You would think that he would be knocking over a few cold ones with Gabriel plotting man kind end !
The creator has hinted at wanting to have Lucifer involved in future seasons but clearly stated he didn't want to overwhelm viewers with too many characters at once.
So no new cities, no Raphael this season, but likely next season, and quite likely Lucifer later. No doubt he doesn't want to say yes so it'll be a surprise.
Well I can understand the writers wanting not to overload the TV audience at this time with to many characters, I guess the fact they still haven't even mentioned Lucifer or Raphael in passing conversation is interesting and leads to wonder of possible endgames that could be played out next season.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
So Gabriel can possess upper angels too.

ReplyDeleteIt wasn't my first thought, Irene is the one who brought it up to me.

ReplyDeleteRaphael was mentioned in passing a couple times. I know Raphael was mentioned by Michael when he talked to the leaders of Vega in episode 3.
ReplyDeletei thought the same.. actually if any angel would be the bad one, they should choose Lucifer .. maybe he'll come around later with interesting story
