It didn't seem like he was trying to escape, because he does nothing besides heading the one in front of him. He is a soldier, he knows there are more people behind him than in front of him, so he heads the one in front and doesn't even get in a stance to defend from behind, let alone do something to those behind him? Very bad planning for someone that wants to escape.
If I had to guess, maybe he did it on purpose to get a beating and be let alone for a while. His whole attitude towards it would make more sense, his refusal to speak and then looking in a defiance way to the one in front of him, and of course the headbutt.
He's preventing them from stripping him that's all. He probably knows how the system works and any trouble causers are probably taken to isolation before they're let out again.
Would also not explain why Michael says Vega doesn't need children "like those" when Becca mentions him having children. Sounds like Nephilim are bad, and Tom Wisdom (who acts as Michael) mentioned that in an interview - how in myth nephilim are not considered good.
If that hadn't been mentioned in the Pilot I would be considering that theory too as it popped into my mind too. It just wouldn't make sense after that scene.
I would be considering that theory as it popped into my mind too, though I'm leaning towards it just being Michael having been around Alex all his life (he was there when he was born and everything) and having known his family/been his guardian.
Father/son just wouldn't make sense after the Pilot scene where Michael tells Becca Vega wouldn't need children like those (half angel/human). Sounds like in some myth half breeds/nephilim are considered bad.
Michael being Alex's dad would be stretch considering in the movie, Charlie only met him for the first time and she was already nearing her due date with Alex.
But I won't scratch out the possibility of God, or if we go the predictable route with Lucifer, being the baby daddy personified as a douchebag who left Charlie with nothing but emotional baggage.
Agreed. Not plausible that Alex is either Gabriel's or Michael's kiddie. However, I still think there is something special about Alex.
The Angel's are bound to protect him, and fight for his influence.....weird.....I hope he is the son of god....it would be very cool. However, I am not sure that this will hold up either, as he only has visions and no powers that we have seen as of yet.
Perhaps he is a prophet.....who holds the word of God.....God speaks to him via the tatoos.....hence the need for the Angel's to protect him....as both Michael and Gabriel have said that all they want is to bring their father back....

Alex trying so hard to stay by Michael and let him know he's there. :(
ReplyDeleteAck the prison system there seems awful. He just wants to get away because they'll be his tattoos and they can't.
Well, he started the beat down.
ReplyDeleteWhile the prison doesn't seem to have a friendly environment, he clearly put himself in a worse situation than he needed to.

Maybe you're right but then I don't really get why he would do that either.
ReplyDeleteThe part about being stripped and another guy refusing to do so made me think of the tattoos.

ReplyDeleteThis is my teory that alex is michael son. I dont why may that god resuret him
ReplyDeleteI was thinking this as well!!!
ReplyDeleteBut wouldn't explain why Gabriel thinks Alex will eventually come to him ....
I am thinking that Alex is the son of God....

In all religions that believe in Angels, the Nephilim are portrayed as bad. That was Uriel's message in the bible.
ReplyDeleteYeah most of the stuff I've read say Nephilim are bad. The only times I've seen them as written as good are for some stories/books and movies.
ReplyDeleteHaven't you seen the movie Legion? This show is based on that.
