  1. Hopefully, with all this time, it can be written better than 2013's special...

I wonder if the Christmas Specials are still considered part of the next season now with the change in air dates...
Compared to normal there will only be like a 6 week wait now.

  3. It'll be on the season 9 DVD, presumably. Just count it as a special.

  4. I genuinely cannot get excited about another season with Clara. Her storyline is so ridiculous.

  5. The 'impossible girl' storyline is over, though. So Clara's storyline will be something different in series 8.

People who have seen the episode already also said Clara's personality is fleshed out more in the new episodes. So I'm happy to hear that, since Clara basically had NO personality in the previous series.

  6. I guess it will be 9.00 still as the S8 dvd will be out, farcical as that seems, lol.

  7. Unfortunately it would be the same thing with a new companion- Moffat and his special, snowflake Companions. At least RTD gave us people- Rose had a family that was relevant and not shown in one episode for an invisible gag, Martha had a family and ended up being the one to leave him, Donna had a family and all of these Companions grew with the Doctor. Amy? The whole things with the cracks and then she even got her parents back, but did we ever see them again? And she used to be a person, but then Moffat turned her into a mom and wife and that was it for her. Rory was never much of his own character either and now Clara, The Impossible Girl (The Girl who Waited, The Impossible Girl) who other than 'quirky' doesn't have much of a personality and suddenly went from being a Nanny to being a Teacher for plot reasons.
