Deborah Ann Woll has landed the female lead in Marvel’s upcoming Daredevil series, sources say. With HBO’s vampire drama coming to a close this year, Woll has signed on to play Karen Page in the Netflix-distributed series.
In the Daredevil comics, Page is the longest-running love interest of Daredevil’s alter ego Matt Murdock, having been introduced in the series’ first issue. The character was briefly glimpsed in the Daredevil film, but this is the first time she’ll be actively portrayed on screen.

I'm very pleased that Deborah Ann Woll picked up another regular TV(ish) gig so quickly and on a show I already intend to watch as well.
ReplyDeleteI was expecting she'll be cast as Mary Jane in Amazing Spider-Man 3, but I'm pretty happy for her anyway.
ReplyDeleteThis is great news. Karen did not get her due in the film, so I hope this series does it right.
ReplyDeleteI have a secret crush on her since the second season of True Blood (oddly enough I didn't notice her in the late season 1 episodes - though to be fair my interest in the first season of True Blood was minimal, I thought about giving up and then that awesome second season arrived), and she's a good actress too so I'm delighted to know she'll be on this show. And there's Rosario Dawson too, that's awesome...
ReplyDeleteLove her, extremly beautiful, extremely hot and quite the actress occasionally.
ReplyDeleteLove her!
ReplyDeleteOh please God. Do not let her with blonde hair. Let her with that beautiful strawberry hair that she has.
ReplyDeleteGreat news and Daredevil just jumped alot on my radar. Deborah was always one of the best parts of True Blood. She'll eventually have some heavy material to work with if Steven DeKnight follows the comic book storyline for Karen Page.
