The Dawson’s Creek alum will play Frank Cowles, a creepy everyday man who turns out to be an acromotophile, TVLine has learned exclusively. And for those of who not familiar with the term, it’s a dude who collects limbs.

  1. Wow CM people, you are seriously outdoing yourselves. Now we don't even need to wait another almost 3 months until October 1 when the show returns from hiatus to find out who the unsub is because you are already announcing it to the press. There goes the time when no one knew who the unsub was until at least the middle of the episode.

I can already see Reid making a speech about acromotophilia.

  3. Sometimes they have people who are creepy in their own right, but wind up not being the actual criminal they're looking for, too, though. That could be the case here. He could also be a guy who inadvertently leads them to the person who actually is their unsub.
Either way, I dunno, I'm personally not all that bugged about knowing the unsub up front. Sure, the surprise can be fun, but even if we know who it is, there can still be some suspense and intrigue in wondering if they'll be caught, or seeing how the team puts the clues that we already know together, and so on, as well.

  4. Reid: " Acromotophile comes from the Ancient Greek word akrótomos, Described as a person whom is sexually attracted to amputees."

  5. They almost always announce more well known names especially in the first and last episodes of the season. And half of the time we know who the unsub is before the opening credits even roll.
