The cast of CBS’ “Reckless” knows what it means to be rash and wild – or maybe just careless. All of the actors say they’ve done a few reckless things in their own lives. Granted, their reckless conduct doesn’t compare to their characters’ actions. But they’ve still had their moments. Lucky for us, they are letting us in on some of their real-life “Reckless” behavior.
“The most reckless thing I’ve ever done – and let me preface this by saying it’s probably the smartest reckless thing I’ve ever done and the one that’s made me happier than anything – was having kids when I had no money and we were as young as we were. [It] turned out to be amazing but it was probably pretty reckless at the time in hindsight.”
“I think I wake up feeling that way every day – reckless, restless. You just wait and see if I even start showing up for work, you want to see reckless behavior, okay?”
ANNA WOOD (“Jamie Sawyer”) didn’t mean to be this reckless.
“I accidentally stabbed a steak knife all the way through my hand – in one and out the other end. I had to call my husband at a local hotel [where] he was having a business meeting. He ran home, we had to take an ambulance, I had to get stitches. It was very dramatic. Yeah, I think stabbing a knife through your hand is pretty reckless. Kind of bad-ass – or stupid, depending on how you look at it.”
GEORGINA HAIG (“Lee Anne Marcus”) gets reckless in her scenes.
“Shawn Hatosy and I were doing one of our numerous sex scenes two days ago. And he had to pull off my red, we call them knickers, I’m not going to say panties… and we’re having sex behind this monument and it’s all very fast and furious. Every time he’d pull them off, he’d throw them behind him. And when [the director] would yell cut, we’d have to look around, ‘Where are my knickers?’ A couple of times they were hanging on a wall. The last time we couldn’t find them for ages and eventually one of our camera operators came up and they were draped over the camera.”
KIM WAYANS (“Vi Briggs”) won’t spill too much (which just makes us more curious).
“I have done something extremely reckless. I did it in Costa Rica. And let’s just say I’m glad I did it about six years ago before there was a camera everywhere you looked. And that’s about all I’m gonna say.”
SHAWN HATOSY (“Terry McCandless”) has grown out of recklessness… or so he claims.
“As a young man trying to find his way, maybe being influenced by the wrong things in Hollywood as a kid, there was some definite reckless behavior. But once I had a kid right around that age of 30, I sort of straightened up.”
GREGORY HARRISON (“Dec Fortnum”) didn’t realize a day at the beach would be reckless.
“I’m surfing for about 45 minutes. All of the sudden I hear this splash behind me and there’s this fin. This shark has been circling me and tightening the circle. And I look at my wife who is 300 yards away, sitting under the palm tree. [She is just staring at me, not moving to help at all.] That was the last time I ever asked her to go to the beach with me.”
“I almost died rock climbing without ropes. My experience was climbing at sunset – and climbing down a cliff that I’d already climbed up without ropes. I saw a shadow on the rock that I thought was a foothold and it wasn’t a foothold. I slipped and thank God I had one really great handhold with my left hand. I ended up hanging by one hand off a cliff, like a movie. And adrenaline is a pretty remarkable thing. I was able to pull myself up by one arm.”
