not surprise.....it the best title for her
ReplyDeleteYES!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! SO CALLED THIS! BRING IN THE "BIRDS OF PREY"
ReplyDeleteFelicity is one of the best characters on tv, really love her, really looking forward to this episode.
ReplyDeleteIvo, you are NOT the father.
ReplyDeleteI LIKE IT! And i been knew Ivo wasn't the father, glad they confirmed it though.
ReplyDeleteDoes not bode well.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if her real mother is 'Oracle' aka Barbara Gordon.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure how to feel about it. They are still heavily leaning on Batman Mythology. I would really like it if Felicity is mentored by Barbara Gordon at MIT. Felicity should get a moniker of her own in my opinion after all she is going to be integrated on Green Arrow comics. Can't wait to learn more about her dad.
ReplyDeleteIt could be that it was her codename in MIT while in the hacking community?
ReplyDeleteI don't want that. Then they will use it as her code name in present universe. I want her to get her own code name. Nobody is calling Diggle by any known DC character code name. Now that our tv Felicity is part of DC New 52 universe if she has a code name it should be unique. After all Oracle already exists in New 52 world.
ReplyDeleteor maybe she knows a hacker with that codename. But they really should start using some codenames all around. We saw how easy the coms can be interrupted like in the case of Clock King
ReplyDeleteOhh damnn im so ready for this! all Felicity centric episodes are great
ReplyDeleteI agree. Both Digg and Felicity should have code names. Even Lyla has one "Harbinger". Did Digg have a code name in Suicide Squad episode?
ReplyDeleteJump to conclusions much? It's a title of an episode, she won't be going by the name. You also do realize oracle is an actual word right?
ReplyDeleteThat's kinda ominous.
ReplyDeleteOf course I do. Its also the name of a computer database system. LOL. See when BoP aired last season Guggenheim gave an interview in which he stated. They are planning to have more BoP episodes in the coming seasons of Arrow and they envision Felicity as Oracle in their version of BoP. His words not mine. So when an EP refer to the character Felicity as Oracle is it such a far thought they might go there and give that code name to her?
ReplyDeleteThey won't, but they are really big on the comparison.
ReplyDeleteWell it probably refers to her Oracle like role.
ReplyDeleteI hope so. I just want it to remain as comparison. When a Felicity background heavy episode is titled as Oracle you do wonder.....
ReplyDeleteI doubt it given everything we've known about her mother, well that and she'd be way too old, etc. It most likely refers to Felicity or someone from her past (but it's Gordon).
ReplyDeleteTrue, I wouldn't want it either. But I doubt they would given how many people would react negatively to such a change, well that and so far the writers have maintained almost all DC comics super villains' alter egos and true identity.
ReplyDeleteI doubt the title Oracle means she was called this in flashbacks or will become Oracle, like Birds of Prey was just a title in season 2, simply because it had The Huntress and Canary meeting. This title just fits her flashback episode nicely nothing more.
ReplyDeleteI came to the conclusion i want Oracle to be a program/app something like that that she developed at MIT.
ReplyDeleteReally interesting! Hoping for Fel to be a connection to the Batman world. Could her mother be Oracle or something ?
ReplyDeleteYeah I hope they don't make her too much like Oracle... I hope they establish a separate identity.
ReplyDeleteThat would have been cool if it was any other name. We already have Oracle computer systems in real life. It won't have much of an oomph. I like all these ideas.
ReplyDeleteI would react negatively. Personally I think there was no need for this comic baiting in my opinion. They could just have given any name for the episode. They have an original character with great fan following. Develop her independently.
ReplyDeleteI hate it when writers rewrite their series and characters due to
ReplyDeleteshipping. Arrow has literally turned into TVD, that show at least had
two and a half good seasons while Arrow only had one! I mean look what
happened on Once Upon a Time due to shipping. I honestly can't take
writers seriously when they do fan pandering. And now it looks like The
Walking Dead is following the same steps due to this Bethyl *beep* that
came out of nowhere. Why can't writers simply have the balls and tell
their original story? Like I get it that they listen to the fans, but to
listen to them all of the time and give them every single thing that
they demand? It's ridiculous.
I have to be honest, as much as I want them to develop Felicity as an individual and not just a Team Arrow member and someone with a crush on Ollie, I somewhat dread the Felicity backstory. I don't want them to give her some tragic backstory like everyone else - the show is weighed down with enough melodrama as it is, and there has to be one relatively normal person in that bunch. The mention of her deadbeat dad in 2x13 already got me worried.
ReplyDeleteHow on earth did you get any of that from an episode title?
ReplyDeleteIs it episode # 4 ?
