Interesting panel! Loved the teases and little spoilers. Awkward Ted Kord wasn't available, I mean they probably intend in bringing him on to the big screen.
ReplyDeleteReally this is the Power Women season, Laurel, Felicity and Thea going strong.
Still I can't believe no one is asking those guys about the lost child!
"He's going to go for the emotional side to try to control Thea," - John Barrowman.
ReplyDeleteI have a very bad feeling about this. I was hoping for Thea to bevin control and use Malcolm. This looks like it will be the other way around.
Looking forward to Hong Kong flashbacks and Amanda Waller.
i am so not watching the show anymore such huge fan pandering so upset, god katie cassidy get out of the show they are making a mockery of your acting work. she deserves way better as well as emily, they want to reduce her to love interest. We want strong independent women, not the I love Oliver fan group.
ReplyDeleteplus cannot stand stephen amell
ReplyDeleteI don't think many people are excited about a kid in a show like Arrow. And the potential drama it brings to the new friendly dynamics of Laurel and Oliver. Not everybody is liking the Diggle as dad story line also. It all depends how they will portray it.
ReplyDeleteI noticed this thing about the kids, but I don't get why? The show is about these characters and their development through the choices they've made and the way life hits them. I mean 2 kids will be a bit much to handle, but the stakes are high and the children will raise them even more.
ReplyDeleteAs long as the writing fits I have no issues there.
I agree a bit on the fact that Katie didn't get the best development so far but Felicity is so much more than a love interest. She proved herself over the course of Season 2 but she'll never be reduced to be only a love interest. And her story is just starting. But that is all individual POV's so opinions differ but I think the show will just start to get better.
ReplyDeleteThen why watch? Seriously don't get people like this!
ReplyDeleteI agree Felicity has had no arc or no character growth in 2 seasons. They just use her for Olicity moments. While her arc was messy, Laurel has at least grown as a character.
ReplyDeleteAnd its a show about Arrow so the stories should and will revolve around him. People love to throw the word fan pandering into the conversation when they try to diminish another character. While i think the writing for Laurel has been bad, the problem also lies in KC and how she choice to portray Laurel.
ReplyDeleteI disagree about Felicity. Why do Olicity fans and non fans only see the romantic aspects of the character. She is so much more than that in season 2. She willingly put herself out there as bait few times so Oliver can do his job. She accepted Sara with open arms, she stands up for herself and Diggle multiple times. She cares for both Diggle and Oliver as they showed in Russian episode and three ghosts. She is to whom Oliver turns when he has a morality crisis.
ReplyDeleteHey but simply reduce her to love interest so that you can hate on Olicity fandom or prop Olicity fandom depends on which group you belong to.
Agreed it's annoying.
ReplyDeleteI sorry but I don't care. Really sick of people constantly claming Felicity is a prop.
ReplyDeleteYeah, no... With a lot of interviews, it was getting pretty obvious that Malcolm is going to be in complete control, I mean honestly... From the moment he got up from getting shot, they put him in utter control, which still just sucks... So I guess we'll just have to see how long and irritantingly annoying that's going to be...
ReplyDeleteAnd can I say that if he succeeds, it will be totally lame and fake? 'Cause seriously, if I don't believe for a second that Malcolm is every going to be good at one thing, or even sincere with, it's emotions... And if Thea can't see through that, then they're just making her an idiot... You know, this whole Thea-Malcolm storyline has given me nothing but stress since they stared with it, so yay >.<
I think the fear is baby mama drama.
ReplyDeleteLove the spoilers about Thea an Diggle. I can't wait to see more of Diggle/Lyla and Thea training with her dad. I love John Barrowman.
ReplyDeleteAlso I hope this season we get to know more about Felicity and her family.
I totally agree with you. I feel the same regarding shipping in general, like how last year they basically tore apart Katie Cassidy because they saw her as a threat to "Olicity".
ReplyDeleteI guess some people just watch it for KC?
ReplyDeleteDespite Felicity is far from being my favorite female character (Thea is ;)) Felicity has always been her own character. One of my problems with some Olicity shippers is that they expect her world to revolve around Oliver and only him. I don't mind if Olicity happens but the moment she becomes all about Oliver she will become very annoying for me and possibly many others.
ReplyDeleteLike I have said before I hope this season we finally get to know more about her past and her family. Last season we got to know a lot more about Diggle so I think this season is Felicity's turn.
I think most of the dislike and annoyance against Olicity is because people read fan comments and head cannons. Most of them are absurd and the people who write them also know that. Thats a part of shipping. They love the pairing and have tunnel vision. They see nothing else than their otp and they see it in every thing. You shouldn't take it seriously. What non fans of olicity pairing does is they always say something against the shippers. It causes the shippers to defend themselves. Thus increasing the Olicity chatter on Internet again. So anti Oliciters will do good if they speak about stuff they like on the show than egging Olicity fandom.
ReplyDeleteNone of the spoilers or interview ever pointed towards Felicity being just about Oliver. That is another head cannon created by anti shippers. They have time and again mentioned her backstory. Her mom is confirmed to come. Her Dad might come.
I am not an Olicity shipper. I was strongly against that pairing in the beginning of season 2. But on the course of season 2 they showed a change in their feelings. So I am happy they are acting on it. Otherwise it would just have been a tease.
