TV Fanatic: What can you tell me about the new Arrow season?
Colton Haynes: Well, I’ve read the first three episodes….
TVF: Thea left town at the end of last season. Is Roy pining for her or is he just in his own world?
CH: He’s trying not to think about it. Every time he hears her name he says ‘I gotta go do a patrol’ or ‘I gotta get out there. I gotta clear my mind.’ He’s running away from it because Thea said she never wants to see him again or talk to him again, he’s been lying to her forever so he has to do what she wants so he’s giving her her space.
We’re going to see a frickin’ bad ass Thea coming. We’re also going to see a bad ass Laurel. Her guns are…if you see the pictures she’s posting on Instagram. She’s kicking ass. She’s just shredding it.
TVF: Roy is now in the mix with everybody so do we see him much more active instead of doing his own thing?
CH: He is and he also has a really cool story with Felicity this year. They’re both know-it-alls and when you put two know-it-alls in a room, they like to correct each other and we have some really fun banter this year.
I’m so happy because I adore Emily [Bett Rickards] and it’s so much fun to work with her. She’s so talented and so new to this world and she’s so naturally talented. It’s really awesome to work with her in a scene and so fun what she throws at you in a scene

ReplyDeleteI think this interview kind of confirm Roy will be with Oliver paroling the streets...wonder if they show Roy Costume at SDCC?
ReplyDeleteYou know I dislike Laurel with a passion but credit where credits due, I have to applaud KC for building up her muscles for this season. She lost her weight for the last season's addiction storyline. We all noticed and criticized her (I did too). I wish they had mentioned her looks on the show last season so that people knew it was deliberate. If not her, then producers and co stars should have given her credit for that effort in the interviews. I am glad someone is mentioning her hardwork now. I hope they mention it in the show too.

ReplyDeleteThat was a real nice interview. I'm really looking forward to Roy and Oliver's relationship now. I really want to see how it's progressed. And i'm definitely looking forward to Roy and Felicity having some scenes. That seriously lacked last season. And that Colton and Emily are BFF'S it'll be really fun to see their characters finally interact more than 2 minutes.
ReplyDeleteAlso BADLY want to see Thea. I really want to see she's started training, and see if she's become this bad ass character. Not talking just physical wise, i'm talking personality wise. I've always liked Thea, and it'd be nice to see a different side of her.
they need some good storyline for Roy and cant wait to see the changes in Thea and Laurel

ReplyDeleteYou know, I'm all for badass Thea, because she's still one of my favorite characters, but seriously... Don't make her a killer, and please, please, for the love of God, don't make her a bitch for the entire season, because while she's a favorite character of me now, I'm pretty sure you guys making her a bitch, could definitely ruin that completely...
ReplyDeleteAnd for when you guys turn her into actual Speedy, the one on Ollie's side and not on psychopath Malcolm (Really, eventually she's gotta have to get over herself and realize that forgiving Malcolm for everything, but hating everyone else, is just bullshit... Stop acting like EVERYTHING was a lie to Thea, because it wasn't THAT bad) side, because you guys made Malcolm too much of an insane evil, selfish guy, to try and turn that around now...
But for when you do finally make her see the light and join Team Arrow, don't make her into a killer, because I don't care how stupid and wrong people viewed her shooting Malcolm, because if its was really without remorse, she wouldn't have walked off in complete shock, before Malcolm stood up and began his annoying mind-manipulation >.<
I'm just saying, I'm seriously still mostly worried that you guys's idea with Thea is going to ruin her completely, like for example, if she really were to have changed her name, specially to Merlyn, I would seriously hate that, also because I still think a big part of Thea is still just being melodramatic and overreacting.
I'm glad about more Felicity/Roy banter, especially since I want to see Felicity develop relationships with more characters rather than just perpetually be Oliver's Gal Friday. And please let what Colton said about Oliver being a good mentor to Roy be true. I've had enough of Asshole Oliver last season. When he manipulatively got Roy to dump Thea, I was ready to punch him in the face.
