I've been expecting them to kill Sara off since they resurrected her, it always felt they would eventually go that way and the fact that the premiere's title is "the calm" and the second episode "Sara", makes me think the worst. I hope they don't, because even if I'm not a Sara fan, having her family lost her once is enough, and TBH if they are going for the Laurel becomes the BC storyline, it would be much more interesting to see her build her own persona other tan just inheriting it from her dead sister.
I don't think they will kill her for good......Lance family will just suffer more pain.....she probably back just for her father and something else probably
If they kill her, I'll cry. I really really hope they don't! I love Caity Lotz. The only reason I've managed to convince my sister to watch if because of her. Apparently she was really good in Mad Men. I never watched it.
In Arrow everyone always fights for a reason i keep saying S1 Oliver fought for his father, S2 for Tommy, S3 for his mom and all the people dead on the attacks? and If Sarah dies, we will have Laurel fighting for the legacy that her sister gave to her.
Intruiging title! Their titles were never so simple and obvious. So one of my ideas back in S2 was for Sara to get paralyzed and train Laurel after that.
I truly hope they don't kill her. Just have two BCs instead. If they need a reason to make Laurel want to be BC try and find another way (without sacrificing Sara) I don't want to see Lance go through the pain of losing her again.
Please don't kill her. I will cry. I have a felling they will either kill her or turn her into villain to push laurel as BC. I had a bad feeling since the time they send her off with Nyssa like going on a vacation. Something has to change in her as she was with the league last 5 months.
Except The Black Canary { Laurel } and Oracle { Sara ) will join forces with The Huntress ( Helena ) to form Birds of Prey, the CW's next spin-off and will no longer be on the show..
[ Katie Cassidy, Caity Lotz, and Jessica De Gouw star ] It would be perfect because it would get Laurel off of Arrow and away from Oliver and if the spin-off is a huge hit great and if not thenn laurel can stay gone for good.
I love this idea except that my reasons aren't because I don't want Laurel away from Oliver lol. Also I doubt they will do a Birds of Prey spin off. I can see Sara getting injured and ending up in a wheel chair like Barbara Gordon (Oracle).
And it's such lazy storytelling if Sara's death is the impetus for the Canarization of Laurel. Supposedly, Laurel is already an idealistic person who is passionate about fighting for justice, hence her working for CNRI and then the DA's office rather than going for a high-paying job as a lawyer in the private sector. Why can't that, combined with all the crime and corruption in Starling, be enough to drive her into becoming a vigilante? We've seen the whole "driven to a crusade by the death of a loved one" thing a million times. Heck, on Arrow so far, the death of his father was the motivation for Oliver in S1 and the death of his BFF was his motivation in S2.
I've seen a ton of Sara hate online since she came back to Starling in 2x13, though. A lot of people felt she took over the show. I don't hate her personally, not even close (although I do feel she was overused in the second half of the season and it made her character less appealing), but I get the impression that her popularity among the Arrow fandom dwindled massively over the course of last season. Of course, it's possible she's still better-liked than Laurel...
The hate was just for the reason you mentioned though, she did take over the show/team arrow and her constant screen time was unnecessary, but I'd rather have her as BC than someone that doesn't even come close and is extremely unlikable.
There are also Olicity fans who resented her for getting in between their favorite ship. Although, they certainly don't make up the whole camp that disliked Sara by the end - I don't want it to sound like I'm saying otherwise, because at some point people would get jumped on saying "You're just a stupid Olicity fangirl!" whenever they criticized Sara's character, which was annoying and unfair.
I do prefer Sara over Laurel as BC because I feel they've largely failed with the writing of Laurel's character so far in the series. Maybe they'll surprise me with a serious overhaul in S3, but I'm not holding my breath. What would be even worse, though, is another round of Oliver/Laurel romance. I hope they stick a fork in that crap for good.
Shocking, yes. Amazing? I wouldn't go that far. It would have repercussions for almost everyone though, so there's a lot of storyline potential, but like Alex Forrest said when I sugested it, "Bringing back a character just to "dramatically" kill them off is so lame. Just keep them gone."
Immediately made me think of Smallville when some of their titles would be just names, lol.
Also, I hope this also doesn't mean Sara dies. As I remembered Smallville, the earliest titles I remembered was "Ryan" and he died. But, I would say it's a safe bet to say it's just going to explore Sara's time in the League of Assassins this time around.
we already have some detail what episode 2 is about..." Oliver hunting down a vicious killer and mercenary who is wanted for murder in seven countries and now is targeting victims who are associated with a specific company" I guess Sara is back to help stop this killer who I bet is a former LOA member
The good news is the Arrow's writers are NOT lazy...and they know killing off Sara is the lazy way of making Laurel the Canary.
The storyline that I haven't read, but could "work" is for Sara to return to Starling City--maybe having (again) a change of heart, and rejecting the League's code of death. She could seek Oliver's help in becoming a "new person"--and together with Laurel and Quintin, they "stage" Sara's death; and she departs (leaving the door open to return occasionally in the future) for parts unknown. Katrina Law/Nyssa has been announced to show up in the third episode, maybe to mourn her dead lover, and will confirm to the League that Sara is dead. Thus, freeing Sara forever...and allowing Laurel to assume the Canary character in Starling City.
Well, that's my narrative for the show...let's see if the Arrow writers can come up with a better one.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
and she dies?

ReplyDeleteI hope so, I may not llike her but I can't imagine how those poor parents would feel loosing their youngest daughter twice.
ReplyDeleteIf they kill her, I'll cry. I really really hope they don't! I love Caity Lotz. The only reason I've managed to convince my sister to watch if because of her. Apparently she was really good in Mad Men. I never watched it.

ReplyDeleteLose, not loose.
ReplyDeleteaawesome
ReplyDeleteIf they kill her after "The Calm" AKA in the 2nd episode, this would be an amazing start for the new season!
ReplyDeleteI don't think they will kill her......could suffer a serious injury
ReplyDeleteIntruiging title! Their titles were never so simple and obvious. So one of my ideas back in S2 was for Sara to get paralyzed and train Laurel after that.
ReplyDeleteArrow will surley put their own spin / twist on things and Sara will become 'Oracle' and Laurel will take over as The Black Canary.

Uh-oh... I foresee a meltdown coming. Especially since some people were happy enough to think Sara was gone after the S2 ending.
ReplyDelete.... Unless .... this episode is dedicated to Sara because she will be killed off by the end of it.
ReplyDeleteHighly unlikely since Felicity is already their version of Oracle.
ReplyDeleteI truly hope they don't kill her. Just have two BCs instead. If they need a reason to make Laurel want to be BC try and find another way (without sacrificing Sara) I don't want to see Lance go through the pain of losing her again.
ReplyDeleteThis, I like Sara and her relationship with her family, I'd rather have two BC (or versions of them) than kill Sara off.
ReplyDeletePlease don't kill her. I will cry. I have a felling they will either kill her or turn her into villain to push laurel as BC. I had a bad feeling since the time they send her off with Nyssa like going on a vacation. Something has to change in her as she was with the league last 5 months.

I can see them killing Sara. That's possibly the worst thing they could do.
ReplyDeleteAnd it will be worse if she does die. The people that want her as BC far outweigh does who do not. Frankly, just keep her as BC.
ReplyDeleteI love this idea except that my reasons aren't because I don't want Laurel away from Oliver lol. Also I doubt they will do a Birds of Prey spin off.

I think it would be better if she becomes Oracle. I don't want her to die either.

ReplyDeleteThat trio of actresses is nowhere near strong enough to carry their own series... it would get cancelled in no time.

Sorry! I'll hide behind the fact that english is not my mother tongue and sometimes I make mistakes.

So happy to see Sara back. I was afraid we wouldn't get to see her more after how she left. They better don't kill her or anything though!
ReplyDeletewe already have some detail what episode 2 is about..." Oliver hunting down a vicious killer and mercenary who is wanted for murder in seven countries and now is targeting victims who are associated with a specific company" I guess Sara is back to help stop this killer who I bet is a former LOA member
ReplyDeleteWould be more surprising if the wanted killer and mercenary he's hunting WAS Sara. She did go back to the League of Assassins after all.
ReplyDeleteWould make sense. She pretty much sold her soul anyways when she left with Nyssa.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Laurel's face will look normal this season.
ReplyDeleteDon't really care about the Sarah stuff, I never really took to her.
