Is it now incumbent on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to move the narrative to a certain place before The Avengers: Age of Ultron storms the Cineplex on May 1, 2015 — right at the start of sweeps?
And might said destination have to fall shy of Coulson successfully rebuilding S.H.I.E.L.D., given recent hints about where Age of Ultron picks things up with Tony Stark, Black Widow et al?
Not surprisingly, given the Level 10 top-secrecy surrounding all things Marvel-ous, exec producer Jed Wheon at first hedged, “We can’t say much,” when TVLine asked if the TV series is tasked with getting S.H.I.E.L.D. from “Point B to Point C” during its sophomore run. He then allowed — echoing the Season 1B theme — “Everything is connected, sometimes more so than other times. Obviously Coulson was born out of the films, and we can only hope to have that sort of impact in the other direction.
“But right now,” he added, “we’re just trying to make everybody as cool and interesting as we can.”

I'm still excited over the fact that BJ Britt was supposedly spotted in character on the Ultron set. He survives the season!
ReplyDeleteGuh, I can't wait for the Comic-Con panel tomorrow.
There is literally nothing new in this post, there are just quoting old interviews.
ReplyDeleteI expect an explosive season finale with some major Avengers 2 crossovers.
Nope, people mentioned seeing both him and Anthony. Trip acting as a liaison for Coulson would be fun.
ReplyDeleteThey DID say they had a plan that will lead AOS to AOU (Yes, I did that on purpose), so...
ReplyDeleteLemme just translate and boil down this article to its essence:
ReplyDeleteYes, we're handcuffed by the Marvel film franchise and can't change the landscape of our series until the next round of films dictate it... but we're not allowed to tell you that directly.
If I see one more "spoilery" AoS article that ends up merely proving how much these EP's have mastered the art of never saying anything at all, I might start tearing my hair out.
ReplyDeleteIf they wanted someone from Coulson's team to appear in Avengers 2 and provide a link to AoS, I wonder why they went with Trip, the one who's been on the team the shortest team. It would be cool if he met Cap, though, since Cap and his grandfather were comrades.
ReplyDeleteThese AoS articles are really the epitome of empty click bait. I'm starting to think the biggest scoop we can hope for until the show comes back is the color of Skye's shoes in the premiere, or something.
ReplyDeleteYou may get a casting scoop or get a character appearance name-drop but I wouldn't expect anything substantive either.
ReplyDeleteNo, he was on set for sure. The best theory I saw is that they are filming a cameo with Falcon for AoS and they did it during AoU filming for use of the sets and scheduling.
ReplyDeleteOh cool, I'm glad he was confirmed and I would love to see Falcon in AOS
