Deputy Director Roger Hooley is a hardworking, principled older man and Peggy’s boss. As you might expect, he’s bothered by ongoing problems in his personal life as well as the challenges of his day job.
Agent Jack Thompson is in his 30s, handsome and damn well knows it. The polar opposite of Dooley, he doesn’t take kindly to women in the workplace, nor how little recognition he gets. Worse, he wants Dooley’s job and is desperate to prove himself.
Edward Hutchins is a highly professional agent with an unusual problem; duplicity. He’s lying to his wife about what he does to stop her worrying. True Lies, SHIELD style.
Daniel Sousa is everything Jack Thompson wants to be. He’s a war hero who walks using a leg brace, but finds dealing with office politics to be harder than working around his injury. Sousa is also a fiercely honourable, gentle man and we’re betting he becomes one of Peggy’s major allies.
And outside of the agency, there’s Angie Martinelli. Working as an automat waitress, Angie dreams of being a singer. She’s a tough, compassionate young woman who is smart and loyal and seems set to be Peggy’s anchor to the world away from SHIELD.

I'm so interested in who will play these characters (maybe well find out at Comic Con, maybe not), they sound really good, hopefully it's some good casting like on The Flash.
ReplyDeleteyes this is what i wanted, to know if there were going to be other characters in the show aside from peggy and stark
ReplyDeletecool character bios, hoping that they find great actors to fill them
ReplyDeleteDon't agree on the flash casting, still shocked with gustins poor performance
ReplyDeleteI like that they cast people like Wentworth Miller, the original flash, as well as the actress playing Caitlin Snow.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind his performance, he seems find by the trailers/ promos to me.
However then, I would say, I like the casting for Gotham, they seem pretty good, but that's just my opinion :)
These character bios sound interesting! And I hope this show will give us the answer to "whom did Peggy marry in the end?" xD
ReplyDeleteI'm going to assume that those reading and commenting on this article have seen both the Agent Carter One Shot and Captain America The Winter Soldier...if not... SPOILERS coming your way....
ReplyDelete....What I want to know is when chronologically will this show will be set?
The One Shot established that Howard Stark said she was "going to run SHIELD". This happened one year after Captain America The First Avenger.
If Peggy is running SHIELD then why is she reporting to Deputy Director Roger Hooley? Why is he "her boss"? Unless the events of the TV show pickup right after The First Avenger and the show will fold in the events of the One Shot which result in her promotion.
Or it could be that when Howard said she was going to run SHIELD he meant that she would be part of the overall leadership. This seems the more likely.
As for Peggy's future:
We know from the Winter Soldier when Steve is watching the old film interview of Peggy in the Smithsonian that she reveals: her husband was a soldier and he was saved by Captain America when he broke through a blockade and saved over a thousand soldiers, (historically this is probably referring to the Siege of Bastogne during the Battle of the Bulge in 1944...knowing this is not relevant to the show but I thought it was kind of cool that it was implied that Captain America helped break the siege)
We will probably learn that its either Jack Thompson or Daniel Sousa that was one of the soldiers rescued, and we may not know which one it is until we hear one of them say something like "I was in that battle during the war. Captain America saved us". For all the shippers out there, that's when you'll know who Peggy is destined to be with.
It could be Daniel Sousa who has a war injury and is described as a good guy. Or the producers could turn it on its head and make it out to be Jack Thompson. Either way whomever it turns out to be, the other guy will probably end up being a Hydra Agent.
Is the character's name Dooley or Hooley?
