Short season for Supernatural? What? They usually filming until early April, right? Hmmm...
ReplyDeleteI think these are the dates up until the mid season break.
ReplyDeleteNo, UOAT is scheduled until April 2nd. Same source http://www.creativebc.com/crbc-services/motion-picture-services/film-list
ReplyDeleteGood to know.
ReplyDeleteThe flash seems really short? Is it only 13 episodes?
ReplyDeletefor now, it can recieve a back 9 order but it has to premiere first
ReplyDeleteAh - makes sense. Thanks! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm quite sure it's for the first 13 episodes. As for supernatural,i hope it is the first half of the season schedule.
ReplyDeleteArrow-From 9th july. TVD-From 7th july.
ReplyDeleteyou're welcome!
ReplyDeleteFor The 100, they said that the episode number will be more than 13 but less than 22. Based on their filming schedule, I'm guessing there will be 15-18 episodes. I was hoping for more! I heard that it takes 8 days to film 1 episode. So based on all that calculation (including holiday time), how many episodes do you guys think we will get?
ReplyDeleteIf it takes them 8 days an episode, then not counting any breaks they could in theory film 25 episodes.
ReplyDeleteCounting holiday time it's closer to 21 episodes.
So...perhaps 18-20?
Thanks, so now we have to wait who moved back to Canada till July 7th to see who is going to survive on The 100 :-)
ReplyDeleteShows that have around 22 episodes film until April, though. And it looks like The 100 crew is filming until end of January. I would LOVE to have at least 18-20 episodes. However, if you count Christmas/Thanksgiving breaks, it looks like the order will be less. Maybe CW is waiting to see how the show does in the Fall. I mean, it was a mid season show in season 1. Perhaps, if the ratings are solid/high, we can get more episodes in season 2.
ReplyDeleteI also recall the creator saying the number of episodes will be equal to a bread box. I'm guessing he was referring to how many slices of bread can fit in a bread box. I'm not a bread box expert, so I didn't understand his clue. The writers have also said that for some odd reason, CW is not letting anyone officially share how many episodes there will be in season 2 for The 100. There is weird secrecy about it. I wonder if it's because the order could increase depending on ratings.
Most shows with 22 episodes also take more then 8 days to film. I believe Supernatural and Arrow both average 10-11 days an episode for example so those extra days all adds up.
ReplyDeleteBread generally is considered to have somewhere between 18 and 22 slices, it just depends on where you are. Although it could just be a weird saying that only one area uses.
As for hiding the episode number, I personally believe the CW wants to use it for promotional purposes. If they give it away now, then they can't give someone a splashy exclusive. Keeping it hidden has also made people talk and wonder. It's all advertisement/press in the end.
Thanks! :) Yeah, the creator wanted to give a hint as to how many episodes there will be based on how many slices of bread can fit in a regular bread box. So if a bread box can fit at least 18 slices, then I hope you're right! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's now listed as 16 episodes on numerous sites. So I guess I was right. Unfortunately. I did want more. But my calculations were correct. I included the holidays and how long it takes to film 1 episode. :( Oh well, 16 it is. :( Darn. Why couldn't we get at least 18? :(
ReplyDeleteThat's what I tentatively 'calculated' for S2 The 100. October 22 start date, Thanksgiving week off, airing until ~ Dec 10, resuming ~ Jan 14, 2014 ish - straight thru = ~15/16 ep allowing The Messengers to take the post-Arrow timeslot ~ March 18, 2015. (Assuming that's where TM debuts).
