I like the Rumplestiltskin/Belle pairing but I am at a disadvantage b/c I haven't seen the Emma/Hook duo nor have I seen Robin Hood on this show. Waiting for S3 to hit Netflix. We watched seasons 1 and 2 when S3 was already half over. Let's just say I'm not surprised at which pair has received the fewest votes so far.
Snow White and Charming have the healthiest relationship. I like Regina and Robin too, but I wish the writers hadn't brought Marian back. Rumple and Belle are hugely problematic with Rumple's constant lying and doing stuff behind Belle's back and Hook makes my skin crawl in a very, very unpleasant way so I'm not supporting any relationship with him in it.
They had surprisingly good chemistry (Robert and both Rose and Barbara)! Rumple and Cora sure were made for each other, they could've been an amazing evil power couple.
Great, now I feel like rewatching The Miller's Daughter.
Which doesn't have to stop fans from supporting the ship. I don't know how new you are to internet fandoms, but character death (or the 'death' of show/movie/whatever) rarely stops fans from supporting what or who they love in many different ways.
I have to say it's impressive that Emma/Hook and Regina/Robin are leading this poll.
These two couples were not established in the first season of the show but have somehow manged to rise heavily in popularity with fans. Especially for Regina/Robin who were only put together recently in the second half of Season 3.
It´s because they create emotions, drama, Snow and Charming have been a couple always and will be a couple forever, with emma and hook and regina and robin the writers create drama and we don´t know when they will be together or how they will get together, so that´s why.
Rumbelle for the win! I honestly feel like Outlaw Queen was to rushed and that Captain Swan was to forced. I like Snowing, but they're honestly starting to bore me.
Regina and Robin, I suppose. Rumbelle is basically just a sick, abusive and unhealthy relationship. Captain Swan is too creepy and had to remove Emma's personality. Snowing is just...dull.
I enjoy all of those couples except for Captain Swan, though Snowing can be a bit boring at times.
Season 3 finale is my least favorite finale, mostly because it was basically a Captain Swan episode. When you don't like a couple and have to see SO much of them, it really makes you lose interest in the show.
I class it an Emma based episodes. And her getting home. And then Emma and Hook. Being a team and support to each other. Thats how it should be viewed and looked upon mostly :)
I think what Lilith911 means is that you have no idea what you're talking about when you popped off that Rumbelle is "sick, abusive and unhealthy." If you don't like the ship, fine. But don't spew hate and project qualities that are not there.

The most "sick, abusive and unhealthy" here is your behavior Sara. I could mention negative things about the ship you support, but instead, I will focus on why I will always love RumBelle. To me, both Rumple and Belle personify the word 'devotion', which is a vital ingredient to true love.

Some people see their own relationships within RumBelle...some people look to them as a touchstone source of hope that though those people haven't found their true love yet, there is a belief because of RumBelle that it is possible...there are people, who view themselves as ugly or have some actual physical deformity, that made them assume they were intrinsically unlovable, but RumBelle made them think otherwise and even perhaps put themselves out there and meet someone special. There is something so heartfelt about RumBelle that effects people in a very profound way.

No, it's incredibly unhealthy. It's actually the most abusive relationship portrayed as romantic I've ever seen on television. I'm not 'spewing hate' on a relationship based on manipulating a woman with lies, violence, isolation and gaslighting. I actually DO have an idea what I'm talking about. I've watched the show and I live in the world.
I couldn't find Mulan and Aurora so I had to pick my second fav. Snow and Charming. LGBT ships get ignored when they're only in the show as five minute a season side characters. That's dumb.
but people started shipping CS even BEFORE the big promotion... many started the first episode Hook appeared and before ABC started promoting them like crazy. OQ may be behind when it comes to promotion, but they are a ship that just started this season, and that ship has grown even more despite alot of people being against it in the beginning. i'm certain if SQ was on here the OQ number would have been a lot lower due to Evil Regals voting for Regina even on a ship they don't like just to see their queen (MY QUEEN) win.
Maybe because it's canon only poll? If you want to complain about "hetero only poll" you should be upset that sleeping warrior isn't there, because last time I checked Mulan was only canon queer character in OUAT
Captain Swan was instant due when they met and the beanstalk journey - there whole meeting in the EF and the beanstalk and Emma's episode was telling, laying the foundation for Emma/Hook, and how they were written. Thats how i started rooting for them, its how they were written and the build up. :)
The fact that all of these couples happen to be heterosexual is irrelevant. The four main CANON couples that are on the show right now are the one's listed. I did this for fun, not to cause a fight or offend anyone. I am only one person, I cannot be expected to know every single possible ship that people might like. Especially if they are not actual ship on the show.

I voted for Robin Hood and Regina. I felt so bad for Regina in the finale, that I felt they needed my vote. I really love them all. Rumpelstiltskin and Belle were my favorite for along time. This season gave us a lot of Hook and Emma and Robin and Regina. I have fallen in love with them just as much and Rumple and Belle. Snow and Charming is not always as entertaining to watch to me, but they are like the epitome of true love. I submitted this poll because I wanted everyone to have fun with me. I have never watched a show where I liked so many couples. Usually I like one and that is it. For the record I also liked Neal and Emma, August and Emma, Graham and Regina, Grumpy and Blue, Hook and Tinkerbell, and on OUAT in Wonderland: Cyrus and Alice and Will and Anastasia.

Yes, but a person could ship ALL these couples at the same time with the same passion. This poll has no sense, things like this are made for statistic, like (it is only an example), if you put "Emma and Hook" you should put also "Emma and Neal/Bealfire", or "Emma and Regina" or whatever. Also there isn't "Mulan and Aurora", and you can't say it's an "only canon poll", bc they ARE canon.

I actually haven't voted for Rumbelle because of that. It became a motive with them, and It's shallowed and boring. I have heard about their wedding before the episode itselfe, and I have wondered it would happen, and I find it a bizzare that the writers keep Rumplle the same.
It is a one way pairing. Mulan loves Aurora, Aurora is straight and doesn't probably care about Mulan as a girlfriend. So they are canon anyway. A bit like captainswan first of the first kiss. It was only hook stalkering Emma and doing stupid rape jokes. But then they kissed, so I guess Emma is in love with him, since she doesn't go kissing people randomly.
Sometimes you should just understand. Like the whole period Mulan, Aurora, Emma and Snow return to the Enchanted Forest is full of Mulan saying that Aurora is the person who matters and she doesn't care, she wants to save her even if it'd destroy Storybrooke (because if they wanna save Aurora they must give Cora the magic bean allowing her to go to Storybrooke messing with Regina's life) and this is actually weird, she's an heroine, so she should keep calm and stuff, but she's panicking saying that they MUST go to save Aurora. It's obvious. Also at a certain point someone (maybe Bealfire, I don't remember) tells her to go to her True Love and she goes... to Aurora!! So it's pretty obvious they're canon.
Uhmm, not sure what you are trying to say in your post. What/Who is a "one way pairing?" Read the Captain Swan lines...they make no sense (with all due respect). Their 'first kiss' made sense in the context of the story. Emma initiated. She could've said 'nope' and walked away. She didn't. Emma didn't kiss him because she loved him, yet, she did it because she really liked him (since season 2 it's been established) and has grown to rely on him. (JMO & writers have confirmed the story in numerous interviews of Emma's growing trust towards Hook.) Since, correctly noted, Emma doesn't go around kissing random people...then she must REALLY, REALLY like him. ;)
And secondly, they are mutually stuck on an island and spending 24/7 working together and with others to rescue her son. Thus, it's ridiculous to construe this as stalking. Come on, really?!
Finally, please point me to the "stupid rape jokes" because this is something I would most definitely abhor and take seriously.
I agree that they implied that Mulan is in love with Aurora. I agree that Mulan took care of Aurora during season 2. What my question was: When were they in a relationship? Did they kiss? Did they date? I have never seen this happen on the show. From what I have seen, it seems to be a one sided thing with Mulan. I do not recall them showing us anything that suggests Aurora reciprocates her feelings. What I want to know, is when were they in an actual relationship?
Really...Snow/Charming is that unpopular? They are the strongest & cutest couple on OUAT. Whereas Emma/Hook & Regina/Hood are looking at possible combustion at any moment!
Snow and Charming or even Rumbelle are not unpopular. I think Emma/Hook and Regina/Robin are the couples that evoke interest and investment in rooting for them. They are the main 4 couples.
I voted for Rumbelle! There's just something so cute about the two of them together, even if their relationship hadn't always been in the healthiest place. They technically aren't together after what happened in the midseason 4A winter finale, and I can't blame Belle for what she did; Rumplestiltskin did deserve it after lying to her, though I still think Belle might be looking at the whole gauntlet thing the wrong way. Still, I think that they'll probably make up eventually and be a stronger couple on both ends. Outlaw Queen is an adorable couple too, though they both technically aren't together as of the Season 4A midseason finale either because Emma just had to go and save Robin's wife. Given, I probably would have too, it's in my nature. Still, it's annoying that she's the cause of their separation. Marian means well, but she's still an obstacle. Captain Swan is kind of a cute couple, but I still don't get the deeper connection between the two of them. Hook just decided that he liked Emma because she was cute, blonde, and witty. Plus, their relationship somehow feels like Emma's rebound. I mean, she just lost Neal, the father of her son, and then just hopped on to Hook. Snowing is an adorable couple, but they've been too perfect since David Nolan/Charming got his memory back.
Snowing can be a little too idealized/perfect for my taste sometimes, but at the same time I can't imagine the show without these two together. Rumbelle's my favorite because of all the drama and true but torturous love between Belle and Rumplestiltskin. I'm also a girl who's really into Gothic Literature romance and their anti-heroes like Mr. Rochester from Jane Eyre, and Heathcliff from Wuthering Heights. Maybe, that's why I'm so into shipping Rumbelle! As of the winter midseason 4A finale, they technically aren't together. Of course, they've both got a lot to change about themselves before they can be together, especially Rumple! I was disappointed in him this most recent episode. I'm pretty sure that they'll be together again eventually, but they both need to grow and learn as individuals before that can happen. Outlaw Queen is a cute couple, but it hasn't been around long enough for me to love it. I really preferred Swanfire to Captain Swan. Neal and Emma seemed to truly love each other, but Captain Hook just feels like Emma's rebound. Besides, I don't know why Emma is so into Hook aside from his good looks, and sarcastic charm.

ReplyDeleteI voted for Robin Hood and Regina. I felt so bad for Regina in the finale, that I felt they needed my vote. I really love them all. Rumpelstiltskin and Belle were my favorite for along time. This season gave us a lot of Hook and Emma and Robin and Regina. I have fallen in love with them just as much and Rumple and Belle. Snow and Charming is not always as entertaining to watch to me, but they are like the epitome of true love. I submitted this poll because I wanted everyone to have fun with me. I have never watched a show where I liked so many couples. Usually I like one and that is it. For the record I also liked Neal and Emma, August and Emma, Graham and Regina, Grumpy and Blue, Hook and Tinkerbell, and on OUAT in Wonderland: Cyrus and Alice and Will and Anastasia.

ReplyDeleteYes, but a person could ship ALL these couples at the same time with the same passion. This poll has no sense, things like this are made for statistic, like (it is only an example), if you put "Emma and Hook" you should put also "Emma and Neal/Bealfire", or "Emma and Regina" or whatever. Also there isn't "Mulan and Aurora", and you can't say it's an "only canon poll", bc they ARE canon.

ReplyDeleteI actually haven't voted for Rumbelle because of that. It became a motive with them, and It's shallowed and boring. I have heard about their wedding before the episode itselfe, and I have wondered it would happen, and I find it a bizzare that the writers keep Rumplle the same.

ReplyDeleteIt is a one way pairing. Mulan loves Aurora, Aurora is straight and doesn't probably care about Mulan as a girlfriend. So they are canon anyway. A bit like captainswan first of the first kiss. It was only hook stalkering Emma and doing stupid rape jokes. But then they kissed, so I guess Emma is in love with him, since she doesn't go kissing people randomly.

Like the whole period Mulan, Aurora, Emma and Snow return to the Enchanted Forest is full of Mulan saying that Aurora is the person who matters and she doesn't care, she wants to save her even if it'd destroy Storybrooke (because if they wanna save Aurora they must give Cora the magic bean allowing her to go to Storybrooke messing with Regina's life) and this is actually weird, she's an heroine, so she should keep calm and stuff, but she's panicking saying that they MUST go to save Aurora. It's obvious. Also at a certain point someone (maybe Bealfire, I don't remember) tells her to go to her True Love and she goes... to Aurora!! So it's pretty obvious they're canon.

ReplyDeleteRead the Captain Swan lines...they make no sense (with all due respect). Their 'first kiss' made sense in the context of the story. Emma initiated. She could've said 'nope' and walked away. She didn't. Emma didn't kiss him because she loved him, yet, she did it because she really liked him (since season 2 it's been established) and has grown to rely on him. (JMO & writers have confirmed the story in numerous interviews of Emma's growing trust towards Hook.) Since, correctly noted, Emma doesn't go around kissing random people...then she must REALLY, REALLY like him. ;)
And secondly, they are mutually stuck on an island and spending 24/7 working together and with others to rescue her son. Thus, it's ridiculous to construe this as stalking. Come on, really?!
Finally, please point me to the "stupid rape jokes" because this is something I would most definitely abhor and take seriously.
I agree that they implied that Mulan is in love with Aurora. I agree that Mulan took care of Aurora during season 2. What my question was: When were they in a relationship? Did they kiss? Did they date? I have never seen this happen on the show. From what I have seen, it seems to be a one sided thing with Mulan. I do not recall them showing us anything that suggests Aurora reciprocates her feelings. What I want to know, is when were they in an actual relationship?

ReplyDeleteReally...Snow/Charming is that unpopular? They are the strongest & cutest couple on OUAT. Whereas Emma/Hook & Regina/Hood are looking at possible combustion at any moment!
ReplyDeleteSnow and Charming or even Rumbelle are not unpopular. I think Emma/Hook and Regina/Robin are the couples that evoke interest and investment in rooting for them. They are the main 4 couples.

ReplyDeleteI voted for Rumbelle! There's just something so cute about the two of them together, even if their relationship hadn't always been in the healthiest place. They technically aren't together after what happened in the midseason 4A winter finale, and I can't blame Belle for what she did; Rumplestiltskin did deserve it after lying to her, though I still think Belle might be looking at the whole gauntlet thing the wrong way. Still, I think that they'll probably make up eventually and be a stronger couple on both ends.
ReplyDeleteOutlaw Queen is an adorable couple too, though they both technically aren't together as of the Season 4A midseason finale either because Emma just had to go and save Robin's wife. Given, I probably would have too, it's in my nature. Still, it's annoying that she's the cause of their separation. Marian means well, but she's still an obstacle.
Captain Swan is kind of a cute couple, but I still don't get the deeper connection between the two of them. Hook just decided that he liked Emma because she was cute, blonde, and witty. Plus, their relationship somehow feels like Emma's rebound. I mean, she just lost Neal, the father of her son, and then just hopped on to Hook.
Snowing is an adorable couple, but they've been too perfect since David Nolan/Charming got his memory back.
They are cute together, but their relationship is way too perfect. Couples on a TV series need to have some issues to stay interesting.
ReplyDeleteSnowing can be a little too idealized/perfect for my taste sometimes, but at the same time I can't imagine the show without these two together.
ReplyDeleteRumbelle's my favorite because of all the drama and true but torturous love between Belle and Rumplestiltskin. I'm also a girl who's really into Gothic Literature romance and their anti-heroes like Mr. Rochester from Jane Eyre, and Heathcliff from Wuthering Heights. Maybe, that's why I'm so into shipping Rumbelle! As of the winter midseason 4A finale, they technically aren't together. Of course, they've both got a lot to change about themselves before they can be together, especially Rumple! I was disappointed in him this most recent episode. I'm pretty sure that they'll be together again eventually, but they both need to grow and learn as individuals before that can happen.
Outlaw Queen is a cute couple, but it hasn't been around long enough for me to love it.
I really preferred Swanfire to Captain Swan. Neal and Emma seemed to truly love each other, but Captain Hook just feels like Emma's rebound. Besides, I don't know why Emma is so into Hook aside from his good looks, and sarcastic charm.
