TV Equals: What can you tell us about the finale?
Lindsey Morgan: I can’t tell you that much because I just saw the screening of it and oh my gosh, it was so good, I don’t want to ruin anything. One: it is epic. It literally feels like you are watching a movie. I was like, “Am I watching Lord of the Rings here or Game of Thrones?” This is insane. It’s beautiful and so cinematic, which is awesome.
Two: it blows the entire season out of the water. If you thought the season was good the finale is just going to blow up your brain basically.
Number three: as far as plot goes, I feel like in the finale we see every character fighting for their survival. Tthe whole season they have been fighting for their survival, but especially in the finale. Everyone is fighting and dealing with their own journey of survival in their own way. Maybe physically, and maybe battling others, or the elements or each other, or themselves, but everyone is dealing with how am I going to make it through today, alive?
TV Equals: The 100 was one of this season’s biggest surprises. It is so gritty and so dark. Have you ever received a script and just went, “OMG, I can’t believe they are actually going this far?”
Lindsey Morgan: Oh yeah. The torturing Lincoln script…well no, before when they hung Murphy. I was like you hung a kid on TV, you can’t—so, yeah, that was one. Then when they tortured Lincoln, and then every script after that.

Interview with Ricky Whittle
Zap2it: Last we saw Lincoln, he got dumped by Octavia ...
Ricky Whittle: I wouldn't say dumped, come on! I believe they just went their separate ways, wouldn't you say? [laughs]
Yeah, OK, if that's what we're calling it. ... He was also planning on getting as far away from both the Grounders and the 100. How has he been dealing with splitting up from Octavia to save himself?
Well, he knows what's coming, and that's war. He's seen what the Grounders can do, as he's this experienced warrior and he obviously has seen quite a lot of battles even before the 100 came along. But now he's got these feelings and emotions that the way his people are reacting is wrong, to the point where he went against his own people for Octavia. So he knows what's coming and he doesn't want to be around for it. It's going to be savage, and that's not something he wants to be a part of anymore.
That's why he wanted to take Octavia as far away as possible, and as he was leaving, he dropped the bombshell that this is going to be the end. She's going to die here. He knows exactly what's coming and it's not necessarily just the Grounders. He dropped a few hints at different tribes that we might be witnessing in the two-part finale. It's going to be very epic and it's going to be very tragic.
I know you probably can't spoil anything, but I still have to try: Is anyone going to die in the finale?
Well I can tell you this: There is going to be a lot of loss. We've already got Finn in trouble and Clarke in a trap, so are we going to lose both of them? Are we going to lose one of them? Are we going to lose more back at the camp? Are we going to lose Lincoln himself? The finale is going to epic and not everyone will survive it, and that's all I can say. You will experience loss and tragedy, I promise.

Sounds like the finale is going to be awesome! I'm afraid of not knowing who is going to die.
ReplyDeleteI hope Finn dies. He is by far my least favorite character and without him the annoying love triangle would be gone
ReplyDeleteI hope Bellamy dies over Finn
ReplyDeleteIt is not going to be Finn, thank God! He was at the upfronts! My bet is Raven!
ReplyDeleteI hope none of them die, lol.
ReplyDeleteJust wanna see Kane and The Chanceler on Earth, don't care about who dies among the younger cast.
ReplyDeleteI feel like giving you a pat in the back! Pizza is on me.
ReplyDelete" it blows the entire season out of the water. If you thought the season was good the finale is just going to blow up your brain basically." SO MUCH YES! This is all I want for the finale :D
ReplyDeleteThere's only one thing right now that matter: Bellarke. Deal with it.
ReplyDeleteI hope not. I hope Raven lives and becomes a regular next season. I hope Finn stays alive too.
ReplyDeleteI want her to stay alive too. Finn I think is save for now, I am glad they made him more bad ass. Now that he has killed too, I hope his story lines gets better/stronger.
ReplyDeleteJ.Rothenberg said in an interview that the writers are not writing in that direction so far. Deal with that.
ReplyDeleteI know this is off topic.......
ReplyDeleteHas anyone heard anything about "Spooked?" Web series (?) Tv series (?) that supposedly starts sometime this year STARRING Grounder Princess Anya (Dichen Lachman)? Any rumblings? Will she meet her demise on The 100? Will she be pulling "double duty" on both series? What Exactly is it about?
Just curious...
Well web series are usually side projects, many actors and actresses will do them even if they're on a full time series, like Troijan (sp?) whatever from PLL, they do 24 episodes a year and she was the star of a web series. Usually those don't film for long at all.
ReplyDeleteI say Lincoln dies...because basically he's a cheat. The grounders will never take him back, and if he switches sides and joins The 100, that'd give the main characters access to all types of information about the Earth and I don't think the show wants that, I think the writers want The 100 to figure it all out by themselves. TV shows are like games, and having Lincoln in their side would be cheating. He knows too much to live.
ReplyDeleteThe writers said they aren't going into that directions THIS season. S2 is a different thing.
ReplyDeleteFinn obviously lives but I hope they keep Raven and Lincoln.
ReplyDeleteThey aren't going to kill the male lead and most popular character.
ReplyDeleteWhy not they kill lots of characters who could be leads, there's no way you can say Bellamy is the most popular and plenty of people hate him. Plus he's the most unwatchable character on the show. If I was a writer on this show I'd be happy to give him the most brutal and painful death ever seen on The CW
ReplyDeleteWhy you hate him so much? He is by far the most interesting and complex character and Bob is just amazing. Everywhere he is the most popular character.
ReplyDeleteAnd Bob is confirmed to come back. He had a meeting with Jason and the writers the other day. The pictures are everywhere.
AKA the most sickening ship everm
ReplyDeleteAnd also, one thing is to say It won't happen, but then why the tension and takes and cuts with those two like this, right?
ReplyDeleteYa no I agree with you.
ReplyDeleteThanks... I wasn't sure ...
ReplyDeleteIMO J.R. just being polite, he doesn't want to do romance at all. So far there is no romance between Clarke and Bellamy in the script, they on It the same like on Arrow and Olicity, it is not in the script regardless of how many fans see it. The writers there don't want to go down that road either, not because Olicity isn't a good match on screen, but they want Arrow to be a different show. Same here with The 100, they want to attract a broader audience than the typical CW viewer.
ReplyDeleteI could see Bellamy with Anya, but that probably is never going to happen. So maybe Finn and Anya is in the stars for season 2? I would not mind. What ever they do, I hope they keep the romance low.
Jasper visited the writers yesterday, so I guess he is safe, too. I am worried about Raven. She could be an awesome character if they would not make her all about Finn. I truly like her, but I worry that they killed her off in the last episode just to send Finn off into a guilt spiral. I would love to see her as a regular, but at the end of the day the show needs more strong male characters.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Lincoln dies. Not because of the "info" though. They could just have something happen (badly injured, split up....etc), besides dying to stop the "easy access to information" thing.
ReplyDeleteThe show said they don't want to be predictable...yet somehow how they set things up in previous episodes e.g. Lincoln having handed Clarke and Fin his book and telling them where to go afterwards....it just seems as though the show set him up to die some idiotic "heroic" death. I hope they don't. If they do the show will just have become predictable....episode 12 was rather predictable too.
I hope they kill off Clarke's mom...or at least the chancellor. Now that's not predictable.
Or kill someone from the main "kid" cast.
I rather like the show so far, but if Lincoln dies and Clarke's mom survives along with main cast.....i doubt I will enjoy second season and stop watching after a few episodes. It will have become too predictable after all.
We'll know next week :P
Ricky W. tweeted to his fans to follow the The100writers so he could get more screentime in Season 2 ! I dont think he will reappear as a corpse! So I guess Lincoln is not dying in the finale!
ReplyDeleteI still think it is Raven who wil not survive the first season. Sadly, she has not her own storyline. So no Raven/Bellamy in season 2! But I still hope it is someone from the main cast from the Arc who dies....
ReplyDeleteI think they won't kill one of them main characters, because it would be pointless. Yeah some of them will hurt badly, like Raven, but eventually she will survive too. I hope so. But there are characters who are expendable like Monroe or other supporting actors. It would be reasonable because their death wouldn't have as much impact to the other's life. But obviously there will be lot of dead people. And I think they must split to escape and survive.
