    "boring" allison was actually a great strong character for female representation. its a shame she's gone now.

    No, Scott's mom is a great and strong female character. Derek's mom is a great and strong character. Even Alison's mom was one, but not her. Alison was just a teen running around, chasing her own shadow and not being useful. She could be more, but the fact is that she's not.
