I really hope Ginnifer Goodwin, Josh Dallas and Once Upon a Time win. But with TVD in the competition...
ReplyDeleteGlad Sleepy Hollow is on the list. Strange that Dylan O'Brien is not. His portrayal of Stiles and DarkStiles this season was the highlight of Teen Wolf.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, Lana Parrilla should have gotten nominated for Once Upon a Time, she's pretty much the most talented actress on the show.
ReplyDeleteWhere is Dylan O'Brien?!!!!
ReplyDeleteI think BAtB have a good chance of fighting neck-to-neck with nina,Best actor-no one have any chance when ian is in any teen choice awards nomination!
ReplyDeleteAll of the Once Upon A Time people and the show itself of course! Colin O'Donoghue should DEFINITELY be on here!
ReplyDeletesurprising dylan o'brien isn't on the list, he ruled the season
ReplyDeleteI take it that Supernatural's little joke near the end of Season 9 didn't sit well with the TCA organisers. Oh well, it's a train-wreck now anyway.
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised Dylan O'Brien has not been nominated for a TCA. But his name is on the Emmy ballot, so there's that.
Completely forgot BATB....... Now they have no chance of winning, you've just ruined my day, thanks.
ReplyDeleteJust kidding, it bothers me so much that good shows aren't always rewarded.
What joke?
ReplyDeleteOh,now i remember.Though the ratings improved this year,quality-wise they made quite a mess of everything including the finale!
ReplyDeleteThen why hasn't anyone thought of the "adults choice awards" :D?
ReplyDeleteNo gill
ReplyDeleteThe fact that Twisted was nominated for anything doesn't reflect well on the preferences of young people.
ReplyDeleteHalle Berry was in two minutes of X Men why is she nominated?
ReplyDeleteThey definitely should!!
ReplyDeleteI hope Ian somerholder and Kat Graham to win.... They deserved... !!!
ReplyDeleteI think they call that the People's Choice Awards...but I feel like the outcome is similar. I might have to go undercover as a "teen" ha ha
ReplyDeleteYep, let's all go undercover.. :D
ReplyDeleteEspecially since Tyler Posey really didn't have a lot to do comparatively in 3B. He's was much more focused on in 3A, which people tend to forget by this time.
ReplyDeleteShe may be too old for the Teen Choice Awards.
ReplyDeleteOff getting ready to become a movie star? And good for him. I think he will go far.
ReplyDeleteThe movies for 'The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones' & 'Vampire Academy' are still relevant?
ReplyDeleteI literally thought everyone banished them from memory.
Sadly, O'Brien has zero shot of getting on the Emmy ballot. He's only in the for consideration pile, which actors submit themselves as I understand it.
ReplyDeleteBwah! I have never seen Twisted but this made me laugh. It has peaked my curiosity on what's so bad about it though.
ReplyDeleteIt's from the finale ... courtesy of the transcript on SuperWiki:
ReplyDeleteNEIL
Why do you want to look pathetic? You've just reunited all the angels under the banner of heaven. I mean, that's like...
METATRON
Winning a People's Choice Award? Not quite the real deal, now, is it?
All set?
The first season was your run of the mill young adult mystery drama. Forgettable but harmless. Season two went off the rails astoundingly quickly into the dumbest, most laughable fiasco I've seen on TV in quite some time.
ReplyDeleteTyler can act, but Dylan stole this season and he should have gotten the nomination.
ReplyDeleteLet's see….TEEN Choice Awards….and they usually vote for the most boring film out there…yep, guess those aware are in the bag for The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
ReplyDeletei'm upset Stephen and Emily and David aren't nominated in the acting category. I mean wtf?? And i love Nian and all, but i swear to god if they win this category again this yr, i'm gonna shoot myself.
ReplyDeleteEXACTLY!! wtf??
ReplyDeleteTVD always wins this i hope they loose this time! Glad for TMI noms altho the movie a total flop.. Go for those awards THG
ReplyDeleteI hate that they are three actors that are pretty much from the same series..TVD and The original are connected so the odds of TVD/TO winning is high..........
ReplyDeleteGiven the fact that it's The Originals first year, i don't mind that they'll win. My issue is with TVD. It was my number 1 show. Always has been. (not of lately though seriously) And i would get esctastic every time they would win or get nominated. It didn't matter, i was with the cast 100% in every thing. BUT after 5 years, enough is enough. This season was terrible. And none of the cast should win anything. I think this yr they need to just pass the torch to the better shows/actors out there right now. I don't need to see another cheesy acceptance speech where Nina and Ian do some corny joke, and Paul just sits in the crowd. Geez, i wish they'd nominate Candace just to switch it up and stop making the wins so predictable.
ReplyDeleteOr may be fans just have grown up finally. SPN hasn't been a teen show for a while.
ReplyDeleteThe nominations are paid for by studios.
ReplyDeleteShe's the same age as Ginnifer Goodwin.
ReplyDeleteThey only buy these award nominations for Ginny.
ReplyDeleteIt's not based on popularity. It's based on what is paid for, usually the first names on the opening credits.
ReplyDeleteI don't quite agree. I wouldn't consider QUAT or Sleepy Hollow "teen shows" either and both shows were nominated. This year's TCA is the first time in years that neither the show nor either or both J's have not made the nomination cut.
ReplyDeleteAs opposed to Ginny, who is only a year younger than Lana?!?? O.o
ReplyDeleteIan Somerhalder is also merely a year and half younger than Lana, and Jim Parsons is four years older than Lana. I don't think it's really a matter of age. And I certainly don't think Lana looks old by any stretch of the imagination.
I think Tyler has grown as an actor but the adults and Dylan are far superior. Still it was Stiles' season more than Scott's so that is actually the reason I am surprised about the nomination. These awards are never actually about the acting.
ReplyDeleteI'm usually thinking all award shows are rigged. I was surprised Vampire Diaries still got nominations when their show has only gotten worse and worse. IMO, there was nothing award winning on TVD this season.
ReplyDeleteI don't think she looks old and she was my favorite character when I still watched OUaT. Still her character and she come off as far older than either Snow White or Damon. After all, isn't she Snow White's stepmom?
ReplyDeleteYet her character comes off as far older than Ginnifer's character.
ReplyDeleteNot every person nominated is the first name on the opening credits. Also where is your proof that companies pay to get people nominated? I have seen you make that claim more than once but I have never heard that before,
ReplyDeleteI don't know, you think fans just got pissed off becouse if that remark? I doubt it.ets wait and see if SPN disappear from PCA nominations list. I personally think this is good news. Js are too old for 12 years old drooling over them.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. I have yet to find one award show that represents what my friends, family, and I actually think is the best entertainment. TVD is still very popular with teens so it doesn't surprise me that they are nominated. In fact, I would bet that they will win at least 2 awards.
ReplyDeleteI would argue that Supernatural has never been a teen show even if it aired on a network formerly defined by teen fare.
ReplyDeleteI agree, but from the perspective of leads age in early seasons it could be more appealing to teens than now
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure which is more irksome. Having Part A and Part B for seasons or having seasons that are only 3-6 episodes long. At that short, call it a miniseries and be done with it.
ReplyDeleteThey are getting a little long in the tooth for TCA's but any publicity is good publicity, right?
ReplyDeleteI know it won't happen, but i would like it very much if paul wins this year. It's my opinion-Paul did a much better job than ian this season,he was fantastic as silas!!
ReplyDeleteGo for it TVD and TO-you can do it again this year too, bring home all the teen trophies!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure TVD will win, they always do. But I don't think they deserve it this year. I think Teen Wolf's writing and acting was a much better season than TVD. TVD, they can act, but I think Teen Wolf's season was just plain better.
ReplyDeleteI've always preferred Paul's acting to Ian's. This award show is more of a popularity contest than anything else.
ReplyDeleteI wish him all the best, he is very talented and I'm sure he will make it, but after the magnificent job he did last season it's absurd that he is not on the list!
ReplyDeleteI only saw TVD season 1, but Teen Wolf has gotten better every season. It was crazy good this year. I can't wait to see what happens when season 4 starts Monday.
ReplyDeleteCouldn't agree more!
ReplyDeleteAgreed. He's certainly talented and 3B especially showed that. I too am shocked that he wasn't nominated. I hope he has a great, varied career that lasts for decades. He definitely has the acting chops for it.
ReplyDeleteAmerican Hustle nominated for a TEEN Choice Award? Mmmkay.
ReplyDeleteI hated Silas. Sooo bad. He sucked. I like Paul, but i'd rather him get an award for his performance when his mind was erased rather then get award for playing Silas. Sorry, different opinion.
ReplyDeleteOnce Upon a Time sucks
ReplyDeleteTVD was good for the first three seasons. Then it started to go downhill. You're not missing much now. I'm very excited for new Teen Wolf eps, too.
ReplyDeleteLet's pretend this is a bad joke as usual.
ReplyDeleteCouldn't agree more!
ReplyDeleteMost people forget its called teens choice no teen actors awards. age of the actor has nothing to do with it.
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding me? This show has always been based on popularity and if they nominated only the first names then Kat Graham would have never been nominated.
ReplyDeleteThat would be Thor 2. Most generic and bland superhero movie in years.
ReplyDeleteI would vote for The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, Jamie Campbell Bower (The Mortal Instruments), Lily Collins (The Mortal Instruments), Thor: The Dark World, Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games), Scarlett Johansson (Captain America), The Fault in our Stars, Russell Crowe (great as Noah, although I didn't care much for the movie overall), Emma Watson (also stellar in Noah), Vampire Academy (really don't get how this is a comedy), Johnny Knoxville (Bad Grandpa), Zoey Deutch (Vampire Academy), Hart of Dixie, Troian Bellisario (Pretty Little Liars), The Vampire Diaries, Joseph Morgan (TO), Nina Dobrev (TVD), and Family Guy.
ReplyDeleteI ignored a few TV categories because either I don't watch the shows or I don't recognize the names of the actors.
The Dark World was enjoyed, TAS-M 2 was not. Webb's series is Twilight but with superheroes/villains.
ReplyDeleteI love how every time somebody dislikes something it compares it to Twilight like that makes their opinion valid. Sorry but how is a vampire movie with a weak female character and a love triangle similar to a movie about a geek superhero facing two villains and trying to discover the past about his father? Thor 2 was boring, bland and stupid. It had the most generic and forgettable villain ever (not Loki, the other guy that nobody cared about). I can get why Tom Hiddleston fans would enjoy but the movie is just awful.
ReplyDeleteI disagree that it has "nothing" to do with it. The average age of people nominated for these awards is far younger than those for more traditional award shows. Are they all young? Of course not, but most of them are.
ReplyDeleteOkey-dokey, if you want me to elaborate.
ReplyDeleteThe first Amehzing Spidey film, Peter is bitten on the neck, totally looking over where the spider actually bit Peter, just to get that "Twilight/vampire love fest" crowd as both films also feature an annoying, very odd stuttering tension between the two love interests. THAT is why I compare Twilight to Marc Webb's films. So yes, saying that is indeed valid. Marc Webb is just not even caring about the original product with making these films, and that even goes with making each and every villain very and far different from their comic counterpart which now includes complete caricatures with Max/Electro and Aleksei/Rhino.
As for The Dark World, I was a fan of Malekith, but just like Red Skull, when dealing with purely evil villains that have little to no development, what matters is the characterization which both villains didn't have any and that term 'characterization' is the difference, when using villains with little development, from being a Malekith and a Joker. At least Malekith, even with no development, isn't a villain that has some backstory but is severely rushes(Harry Osborn), or complete caricatures that if left out of the film, wouldn't make any difference to the film(Max/Electro, Aleksei/Rhino).
It gets worse oversea's. ABC Family sells the seasons for their shows differently oversea's. For example Australia is currently airing the '3rd season' of Switched at Birth which is really the 2nd.
ReplyDeleteHow ABC Family is selling Switched at Birth overseas:
Season 1 = US Season 1 episodes 1-10
Season 2 = US Season 1 episodes 11-30
Season 3 = US Season 2 episodes 1-10
Season 4 is probably going to be US Season 2 episodes 11-21
Urgh! That's confusing and annoying. I could see people being very confused about what part are talking about on social media that way. They need one uniform way to do things. I mean it's not like we haven't been in the internet age for decades now.
ReplyDeletethat's more to do with the target demographic, teen shows aimed at teens so 90% of the cast are teens or young adult. any who just because they are not a teen in a teen show doesn't mean they can not be nominated.
ReplyDeleteI know that. That's the point I was making. You can't say that it has nothing to do with age, because younger people are more likely to be nominated than older people. That's why I said, "Are they all young? Of course not, but most of them are."
ReplyDeleteIt does seem like Nina & Ian always win. I'm not really sure why Ian seems to be more popular than Paul. I think Ian has really sort of checked out of the show though because his acting has been going downhill for a while but this past year so did Nina's (so I think she's now sort of checked out as well).
ReplyDeleteyour main point was "she was to old for teen choice", yet some of the nominees are around the same age yet their characters they play are young. so im guessing that is ok.
ReplyDeleteKeep forgetting this is done by teenagers. Sigh.
ReplyDelete
